Much better to invest the half of your money in good altcoins. It will gives you big return if the project succeed. 110$ capital for trading is good but like you said you only see a very small progress but dont worry as long as you have profit that is good the important thing is you learned. We have plenty of time learning trading No need to rush.
Sorry to say but I don't think so that 100$ is enough for trading it's too little money and if you have 100$ and it's everything don't go for trading. In trading you can lost all of your money when you asking people about which is good that means you don't have that much knowledge about that this space. If you trade with this knowledge you will surely lose your investment. Better you hold that ethereum and gather some knowledge and more increase your investment then go for trading with half of it. Or just hold what you have that's it.
There is no amount to small to invest into cryptocurrency trading. The current market is even an advantage. Since the price of tokens have drastically drop, $100 will buy close to half an ethereum which can be sold when the price rises and one makes a little extra earning by that.

I also want to suggest that you should reduce from $110 to $55 first if you don't how the price movement of the token you're going to trade. I think it's enough to do a trading, cause it didn't same like investing. So you gonna be okay, but still don't expect too much. 
If I start this year, I will say it is too small for the market, because just withdraw USDT, you lost $ 25, so if you invest $ 100 you only have 3/4 left to trade. But now is a good time because the fee transfer coin was much cheaper

To study this is quite enough. I will say even more, with such a balance, you can create a good deposit for trading. But if you are a new person, most likely you will lose them. I think yes its depends how lucky u are,if u know how traiding system works then u get some start rewards in exchanges,my friends told me to be become real traider need to be in this sphere like minimum of 5 year..Im tried to become traider and lose half of my investitions then i become bounty hunter and hodler..
For now, it is consider cant but maybe in near future when the market is stil not recover then it is ok to buy because the price drop a lot by that time compare with last year.
