So, TradeFortress is trolling.

Well, if I had a shitload of coins I might have some fun like this also. Cheesy

Most probably yes, but he sent ~30 btc to some users (also 2 bitcointalk.org mods that didn't post their btc address).

Well, he still owes me 0.4 BTC from a signature campaign advertising imputs.io. Cheesy

Yes, I remember he was quite fair and generous with his dealings here in the forums.

So you also think he is TF, right ?

What makes you sure that TF =! bitfinex_hack

I didn't say TF =! bfx hack, I think only that the owner of that address is TF.

CHECK HOW MUCH FEE HE GAVE IN THIS TRANSACTION. THIS GUYS IS FUCKING CRAZY WTF https://blockchain.info/en/tx/1b0e0ca57e694df84310a131b6ced0a7c43460b0a51eff04943b5dbd65e8c66f

FUNNY MODE ON

I think he wants to help miners recovering after the halving, so that's why he's pumping up the fees

FUNNY MODE OFF

Whatever will happen we'll have some fun in the next days. Waiting to see what happens with our Robin Hood

That is just to make his intentions appear legit. In relative terms, that is 1%.
I agree. We'll know in a week.

We won't. How many guys who posted in the thread do we know?

I don't think that is TF, but we cannot rule out the possibility. Grin

Fact is, he did give some people 1 BTC (or more), and he did throw away 10 BTC with a 1.9887 BTC free. That shows to me he doesn't care about money worth a mid-range family car.

If his for real he can give 1 btc to each person that post their address to the thread but we can expect a lot of puppet and alts participating, same even if he randomly select an address.

1) The coins come from a 2013 address, not linked at all with Bitfinex. SOURCE
Couldn't this address be related to Bitfinex since 2013? Maybe I'm wrong here...

I am very curious what his motives are. I hope he'll talk more, it feels like watching a bank robbery live but totally anonymous. I'd love to talk to him personally, but I won't PM him (I guess he has about 10k messages now asking for money).

I also like the dead man's switch, the whole topic reads like pure popcorn Cheesy Maybe he just wants attention and a pat on the back for his hack. And by throwing around loads of money he sure got attention!

1) The coins come from a 2013 address, not linked at all with Bitfinex. SOURCE
2) That address is very probably linked with the inputs.io scam/hack. SOURCE
3) The person who declared the giveaway will post an address himself and send the money to that address
4) He will then be able to claim he got the money from a giveaway and not from hacking/scamming

EDIT: in case it's not clear I'm speculating on what's happening in this post.

Yeah, that is precisely what I have been thinking. The OP of the thread possess Bitcoins from a questionable source (hacked, private keys bought from a hacker whatever). This is why: (obviously)
The giveaway is available even to a newbie, and no reasonable restrictions whatsoever, and
The giveaway is 1 x 1000. All he needs to create is 1 account.

How did you link it with inputs.io hack?
