Sorry Freddy, I thought you were him, I just misread I guess...it happens....but yeah this FeFox brought a whole new meaning to hash power......he's going to rule the pool it will be sometime before anyone else gets anywhere near him....plus can you imagine the electric bill, it takes a lot of watts to run 40TH/s of equipment....

Hodl!
Good news everyone!

We are almost guaranteed to have a run of awesome luck for a couple of days ..... because my interweb went down overnight and I've got a shitty shift score to purge.  Undecided

and hey Doc, done any thinking about adding new merge coins?

It was the slowest loading page on the website. Someone noticed this and started hammering it from an amazon cloud server.

I've been thinking of adding something else instead. Maybe show the 10 shifts that were used to calculate payments, with the same info that is on the shifts page today for each shift. Maybe add in some sort of summary of the shifts at the end, and show somewhere how much you got paid for that block.

That's just an idea so far. What kind of information would you like to see on the block page (which you get when clicking a block on the blocks list)?

Hi, Doc removed the page that you are on about. I found it really handy to see where I was for my hash power coins wise. I knew what I got per block at my hash level and if I say doubled it I could look at someones stats that were at the hash level I was thinking of increasing to and see what a difference it would make.

I moved pools to keep this feature from another pool provider. Shame as I liked Bitminter. But I liked this feature as I am always expanding my gear.

Quick question:  A few months ago, there was a capability on the BitMinter web site, where one could click on a solved block reference and there would be list of all BitMinter users with their relative 'ranking' - meaning, I could figure out that I was #XXXX out of YYYY users, based on my share of that solved block.

I don't seem to be able to find that list anymore for each solved block. Has it been removed or am I just having a senior moment and not looking in the right place?

I know, its just a bit discouraging for NOOBs like myself who don't have a lot of hash power to see their percentage drop....I put a small cash investment intially for some cheap mining gear (333 erupters and not very many) and used the coin mined to upgrade gear...now I have a couple U1s a nanofury, and 3 blades going, with a cube coming in this week...
Dont get me wrong I have nothing against freddy coming in to give us a tremendous boost to our hashing power,  and may speed up some of the longer blocks we have been running into....

hahaha I wish, It was fefox, not freddy Smiley

Someone adding hashpower to the pool drops your payout per block, but gives you blocks more frequently. It doesn't affect your average payout, but lowers the variance. So you are not losing money when someone adds hashpower to the pool.

When the difficulty goes up, your average income goes down though. That happens after hashpower is added globally, to any pool.

Yeah, holy balls did he bring some serious hashing power in....it really dropped my payout stats....Considering I am a little guy (relatively) I only had about 50 GH/s until I repurposed my old Block 333 block erupters to mine peercoin....(now I am at 46 GH/s)....but I have a 30 GH/s cube coming this week that I got for a steal....... but damn, talk about adding firepower......

Yup, lost a bit also, need 2gh to make up for it, ant U1's are buying themselves at 1 a month now, each new one makes the payouts faster.
At some point, I will save coins for a S1 hoping by then they come down in price (even used ones are still way to high for me).

Edit: still having more power = faster blocks so I think we are just dandy, quite happy here.

Yea, this guy has some serious fire power, the stats sink and rise, but maybe he is still building his farm ... think it might go higher yet. The pool has risen by 100TPhs over the last couple of weeks (but many people add Ghs every day).

So, we all see lower payouts, but that's mining for you. Not sure my power board will stand many more Ants before a melt down.

Difficulty is about to rise again ... so what ... in for the long haul  Cheesy  (Fingers crossed)

Yes ideally, you want at least 20-30% headroom for reliability and not too terrible efficiency, 50% if you want the best efficiency and lowest noise (Considering most of the fans are thermostatically speed controlled these days)

Hi,

I recently purchased a Corsair CX750 for my Antminer S1. Has anyone successfully run 2 S1's off of an CX750?  Any issues/cautions?

Thanks.

Probably not a good idea.   Do not overclock them!  If you slightly underclocked them you could get a nice safe margin.  I use 900W supplies for 2 S1's.
