How much were the 1070's 6 months ago?

Most were around $410 give or take $30, with the "water cooled" cards closer to $500.

That's NewEgg pricing, BTW - I gave up on eBay a long time ago when they started pushing Paypal as their primary payment method.

410 is very high for a 1070

I bought a g1 gigabyte 1080 for 450 3 months ago

Edit - and anyone know reputable pools for MONA mining? Clearly the best bet at the moment.

Anyone going under 70% TDP and getting over 700mh/s or near?

Those numbers sound pretty hard for me to attain.

Today I've set my 2 1800ti's to mine on equihash in the most efficient way I could achieve.

I was able to get 4 Sol/w efficiency at about 163 watts each, that's 650 hash/s per GPU

E.g.
EquiHash/Groest/Skein dont care about memory frequency to much, just the core clock.
Ethash cares a lot about the memory clock.

What I have noticed for my 3 * EVGA 1080ti SC is that anything below 80%TDP will disable the adaptive boost and revert core clock to adaptive 'base' only.
* At 100% TDP all of my cards will boost to 2000Mhz+
* At 70% TDP the boost will disable and they will sit at around 1700Mhz

From there I can apply an OC to core of +75hz and it might settle at around 1800Mhz. With no modifier to the memory it will pull 650 sols at this point.

But I have found that +350Mhz to memory will make it average 680 sols and 72% TDP seems to quite optimal for this card.

As for my 1070, well it loves a high memory clock. I'm at 460 sols with settings of: 80%TDP +76 core +400 memory. Leaving memory at 0 it will pull 420-430 sols.

ZEC? I was able to do 790 but that was really pushing my FE card. If I overvolted I could easily push 2100MHz+.

Keep in mind this is under water though.

I was watching my new Aorus run 2050Mhz consistantly earlier today, on air and with only a +150 core overclock in Afterburner - I'm pretty sure I could push it a good bit harder as it was only running 69-70C in an 80F ambient at 79-80% fan but I've not had time to play with it much yet.

Dang thing is a 3 slot card though (forget those sites claiming 2.5 slots, they're WRONG) - good thing I was planning on that rig to be a 2-card rig (I got one of the Gigabyte 3-fan Windforce models to go with it, but 20/20 hindsight I probably should have gotten a second Aorus).

News about the P106-100 is kinda old, and the June 23 date appears to be wrong (they've STILL not been seen in the wild in quantity, except perhaps as bulk-buys by large farms).
RX 470 mining-specific cards are kinda up in the air, Newegg has had them listed for a week and some now but I've not seen anyone state they've actually RECEIVED one that they ordered yet - and the initial $250-$270 price doesn't look like it's going to actually happen as the only one they have listed as "in stock" right now is through a 3'd party seller at well over $500.

On the plus side, GTX 1070 availability seems to be easing some, and a FEW cards are now available in the under-$500 range as of 10 minutes or so ago.

So we may soon see cards specifically for mining lol

People about to make huge investments hold your horses.

Warranty will be 90 days though but it should be better cost efficiency compared to 1080ti

lol it'll drop the value of regular cards from vendors. The ones with founders edition the value should stay relatively well.
Didn't those perform basically the exact same as their gaming counterparts? Also resale will suck on those as they have no video out ports.

Another link http://1stminingrig.com/amd-gpu-shortage-solved-new-nvidia-gpus-mining/

Thing is gamers were tired of miners stealing up GPU's lol and driving up prices - so I think they will fill up the demand with this however, why would dedicated miners purchase something that would go zero in value since "difficulty" keeps going up and there won't be a resale. So not sure if it'll even work or not.

Hi Kwiner,

I don't think Ether will get you a lot more than $5 atm. I was doing almost $6 earlier this morning with NiceHash. You might get a bit more.

Try exchanging BTC with people who will give you hard cash for your BTC/coins? You will always lose money on exchanging so... Maybe you will find a nice person who will buy your coins for 95% of their value?

Fees will never go away. Everybody wants to earn and/or has expenses. You will have to accept this. We all do.

What is your power target? I run inbetween 60-70% to reduce as much heat as I can while saving power and still getting a decent hashrate.

Power target is 104%. Temp is 56 °C and steady. Fan speed is 70%.

Hello,

I would like your recommendation to a beginner. I've been on mining on NiceHash for the last month using 5 x Gigabyte 1080 Ti's. The profits have dropped from 8.5$/day to 5$/day (per card). I have been thinking of switching to mining Z-Cash or Ethereum or any other currencies, BUT:

I am from Kuwait (Middle East), and therefore most wallets do not support banks in my country nor my currency. BitOasis is a wallet & trading exchange for BTC and ETH based in Dubai, which do support my bank. The thing is, I can mine BTC to the account, but probably not other currencies.

Using several platforms to move my coins into cash, or even keep them in coin, usually have me end up paying around 12-15% in transaction fees which kills the whole concept of cryptocurrencies. I don't understand why fees are extremely high when the whole concept of digital currencies are advertised to be of almost no fee.

Anyway,

Can someone give me an idea whether I should switch to mining Z-Cash from NiceHash BTC, and, how could I move the Z-Cash to my BTC/ETH wallet in Dubai?

Thanks!

Doing 768 sols/s with my 1080 Ti STRIX. That's a new record for me.
ZEC? I was able to do 790 but that was really pushing my FE card. If I overvolted I could easily push 2100MHz+.

Keep in mind this is under water though.

Running 2x 1080 Ti's (waiting for risers to come tomorrow to run the other 2 1080 Ti's) in LBRY right now and they are running around ~910MH/s. I am pushing my watercooled card harder on the core since it can take it easily and not break 39C.

Cool. I always wanted to set up a big rig/mining farm but I'm not sure about getting ROI. I might expand soon. My 1080 TI is doing 501 MH/s LBRY.

Also don't forget that a lot of hashing algorithms are not memory-bound - or in other words - don't benefit at all from overclocking your GPUs memory frequency. This way you can extend the lifetime of your GPU and have some less heat produced.

E.g.

EquiHash/Groest/Skein dont care about memory frequency to much, just the core clock.
Ethash cares a lot about the memory clock.

hello!

can anyone tell me wich one of the gtx 1080 ti cards to buy? thx

http://www.mediamarkt.de/de/search.html?query=gtx+1080+ti&searchProfile=onlineshop&channel=mmdede

thx

Love my Zotact Amp Extreme. Stock already heavily OC. Running very cool even on my tropical climate.
Worth thst extra $ i think

totally agree Cheesy worth every penny i think.  i thought at first maybe it wasent but reading others doing 700 sol/s at 95% TDP and here i do 750 at 70% TDP at damn near stock clocks just smiling Cheesy

75% and 750! Which setting? That is nice. Stable and sustainable?

like +150/-400 i believe, tho i have it stock right now as i flashed clean drivers and it does so well i just left it ;p 700+ sol/s  +0/+0

700 sol/s is a good mark for stock clocks, last time I did constant  810 sol/s with my 1080Ti Aorus at 2.0GHz boost core clock / 12GHz memory oced, 85% tdp, temps at 50-60 Celsius, fans at 100%.
