After setting intensity to 22 I was able to get 40.08 MH/s out of this 1080ti hybrid.

+120% TDP
+110 core
-400 memory
59c GPU temp

ML120 fan at 2000RPM

phi algo

The best Phi algo Spmode 6*1080Ti 220 MH/s.

Sure, this is best case scenario Smiley but not so real to get it here with big farm...
Maybe with Lyra2z, but not with more power related algos.
what is the problem to set low power limit to keep cards cool and effective?

Efectivity depends on electricity bills...  i dont play on perf/tdp %.. i play on real efectivity whitch mean how mutch less TDP saves your bills vs how mutch hashrate drops.

And if you pay in real 0,11$/kw its better to run higher freq & higher TDP.
No, when you keep cards cool they boost much higher than if they are hot. Higher boost clock leads to higher hashrate. Moreover with high temps semiconductors consume more power than when they are cold. You can easily check power at the wall when it is hot and when it is cold keeping other settings identical.

Ofcourse...

Let GPU fans at 100% with temptarget 60C is definitively bad idea...

80C with fans at 80% is way better...

Both are bad. I prefer 50-60 degrees with 50-65% fans

agree here, anything more then 75 degrees keeps me nervous, so I'm trying to keep below 70C
of course the temperatures are depending on algo, that is why lyra2z and phi are my favourites

Phi is power efficient too ?
Ok for Lyra2z, but phi is a power angry as all others algo

What algos should I be using with 1080ti?

You can use skein, phi, keccak, blake2s, lyra2v2, c11, x17,myr-gr
I think those algos are pretty quick on gtx 1080ti

also xevan and lyra2z

I think in countries with cheap electricity they dont care about power usage  Grin
My TIs run 70 Power,75% Fans and they are around 55º. You think 75% fans are too high guys?

you should definitely shoot for less than 70 degrees. While the card can function above 70 degrees, it's not designed for continuous and optimal use at that temperature, and is likely to reduce the longevity of the card considerably...

At that temperatures (70+ degrees Celsius) chip will degrade much faster and vents will burn out soon.
You will started to get artifacts and your card will regularly keep getting errors.

Also keep in mind that if you have surfaces with such big temperatures and you bring in cold air you risk to get bad solder joints on card.

This fairytale is so far from the truth. 75-82 degree is definitely ok for gtx 1080 ti, and auto fan keeping it as the target.

Yes it is OK, electronics can handle that temps without any problems, but do you really think that can do this for few years on 24/7 regime?
