Since Bitcoin is all about permissionlessness I expect even the most talentless to show us what they've got. That's the spirit I'm looking to see.

To show everyone that they too have a genius locked inside them if only they know where to look here is my contribution.

I like Last of the V8s' idea better. I think I know a way to pull it off without too much controversy. Stay tuned!

What is "art"?

That was literally one of the questions I got in my general studies exam in college. You had to write an entire essay just on that.


Yeah, I'm terrible at any sort of drawing digitally or in reality. We should be able to submit writings as well. I want to write a sexually explicit fanfic including several bitcointalk members. Or perhaps a half-naked video of an interpretative dance inspired by bitcointalk.

I do not have time to participate in this contest, just want to make you people smile, that's why I created my [ART]Bitcointalk memes a year ago. 

Writing is indeed an art, and one which I rate very high. But theymos specifically pointed out that this contest is to give more attention to contents that are not text-based.

I did enjoy your essay and the use of words, and hope it does get attention. I may personally consider writing just for the fun of it, or create an art design.

BTC to the Future v1.0 was my first official BitcoinTalk.org project release.

Probably not an art but I just created a design of the top 100 merited users here.
I believe that they helped here in the forum in different ways so I made it like a brain (even though it doesn't look like a brain TBH)
GL to us all participants. I will put another one in the future as my entry and hoping........

Bitcointalk's birthday: it has been running for 11 days, I really don't have the time and opportunity to make a work of art from my own hands.

Maybe, my busyness factor is too dense in government.

Today I have a lot of time, to think of something good, to do.
I went to a friend's company that engaged in the art of flower painting, so I decided to sit down and make my own artwork for Bitcointalk's 10-year birthday, taking 1 day. Not bad.







This is very natural without the touch of the internet or Google.
I hope this work of art, can be a power of own interest for the Bitcointalk Forum.

Being primarily a text-based forum, it's not surprising that there hasn't been much original bitcointalk.org art, but I've always thought that this has been a bit of a shame. Therefore, for bitcointalk.org's 10^th anniversary, let's have an art contest!

Prizes:
 - I will distribute at total of at least 1 BTC to the art submissions which I personally like the best, completely subjectively. I might give out more if there are a lot of good submissions.
 - I will give out a ton of merit, probably at least 500 in total, based mainly on effort.
 - Between 1 and 20 (depending on number of submissions) people will receive art contest recognition badges: , based mainly on community consensus of who had the best art. In judging consensus, I will be substantially but not entirely influenced by the total amount of merit your art received.

Post original bitcointalk.org art in this thread along with a Bitcoin address. Any art you post must be created by you. It should be related to bitcointalk.org, but need not be related specifically to its 10^th anniversary.

The contest ends Nov 22 18:04:28 UTC; submissions after that are not guaranteed consideration. BTC will be sent all at once, probably a few hours after the end time.

Keep this thread clean: only post art and discuss the art posted, staying very on-topic. No "reserved" posts, please -- it only clutters the thread. See this thread for more commentary, questions/answers, and comments.
