My question is that I heard rumors about $120,000 Bitcoin
What is your opinion on this matter?
It is very possible, $120,000 is not that hard for we to reach in this present bull market because we have not seen the hype that the bull market has yet, all what is happening is small if we look back at the past as I read that the fomo of Bitcoin rising will make everyone in the industry would want to buy and this makes the price to keep increasing. $120,000 is a fair price target because what others are predicting are just too much. $100,000 to $150,000 is a very good price target to have and this is around when I can start to take profits but I think we can go further higher because the bull market will still be on until next year and we now have institutional investors that will be making the market have more volumes therefore the price for Bitcoin should go higher.
Bitcoin is just one of the best and most successful projects in the cryptocurrency market that has been running for years but I'm a realistic person and I'm not an expert and I can't say anything based on speculation because I have been in the crypto market for years and I know how high anything can go and suddenly come down as Bitcoin went from $69k to $16k so there is a lot more ahead of time.

My advice is to invest in Bitcoin using the DCA method as it stands now if BTC goes up from here we will still be in profit and if BTC goes down we still have a good chance. There will be more buying and saving except that I can't say anything because I also don't know the future, like everyone else I can only speculate and I hope that $120k or $150k is reached, but I would say the price can at least touch $100k considering the movement of BTC so far.

120k will happen its only the time frame that is to be decided on that question and also some debate on this cycle or the next.   BTC has a kind of sine wave pattern in a very erratic volatile way, the graph viewed in a macro way fits the cycle back and forth imo.  The main relevance to that view is the steady inclination, the low of this cycle is still higher then the last and so to the highs are higher then the last and thats the part everyone pays most attention to.

$100000 is what we are expecting for now
100k is just a round number and by the time we get there it will have melted away some more.    If we do get to 100k and people decide thats possible, you might as well believe 120k occurs because I do doubt we stop right at a round number.  For 100k to be the top it must be that BTC was stalling long before it got there and somehow only just managed to grasp that number before falling, theres no real resistance at round numbers.

I would say that we are going to probably see some more increases on this and next quarter as well, yeah a lot of people think that it will not happen but I think it is not going to be that impossible, we should see this as a possibility and not really approach it as a bad thing. I hope that people could see how we could check this out and not really end up with anything that crazy.

I believe that we are going to see something that will take a while, it is just going to be something that will only make sense if we know what we are doing. I hope that 120k happens this year, just saying that we are probably going to end up with something that will take a while, and that is not going to be easy, and we should probably consider that as troublesome.
The reality is that summers are usually quite slower because most people are at vacation, and even wall street likes to go to beach. Which means that we are not going to end up with anything good at any given time, we are going to end up with some trouble, and it won't really matter at all.

We should consider how to get people to get moving, and bitcoin is something that works on hype, isn't it? This is why I think it's quite clear that we are going to end up with not that much increase due to people not being in a place to be hyped. If you are at some beach, how can you get hyped about bitcoin at all? That will not be possible and that is why I think we should consider summer to be a time when we could go up and that's why it will stay about the same.

Currently we are in the bull season and most are speculating for $85k - $100k+ which I am not sure when Bitcoin will also reach that price but I believe that the price might get to $80k before the end of this year.

We should be above that price by the end of the year, the market is more bullish than it was last year because we have had the Halving done already and the next thing that is supposed to follow is the price of Bitcoin seeing a new highest price as it has always done in the last bull cycle.

It's not certain, bro, that the market is so bullish this year compared to last year, which is not a very big factor that can not be neglected by volatility. For the first and second quarters of the year, Bitcoin can actually be very bullish but might have a very big negative price towards the end of the year. Not that it will dump towards the end of the year, but what I mean is that nothing is guaranteed. In the crypto space, there's a saying that "nothing is impossible." Just as Bitcoin is currently around $67k, there might just come up a vast amount of good news that can make the price spike to $80k by next month, and if it's also negative news, it could drop to $50k depending on the news.

Last year though is not considered a bullish year as usually, or at least from what I observed, technically we are in a bull run after the halving which is just about last month. But I do agree that volatility is one factor that we need to look at even if we are done with the halving and that's why there's not much of a sudden movement.

So who knows, this month might be on a downturn, nevertheless the next quarter could be huge for us specially at the end of the year wherein historically in a bull run, we will see the price really spiking out of control and maybe $80k or even higher could be reach by that time.

I am new to BitcoinTalk BTC

What is your opinion on this matter?
Whether you are new or old, there is nothing to disbelieve the rumors you have heard about the price of Bitcoin that could definitely happen by 2025. If you research the price of Bitcoin, you can see that Bitcoin can naturally reach $100,000 by 2024 and $100,000 to $170,000 by 2025. Currently the Bitcoin market is looking to rise from $70k to $67k but this market volatility definitely follows a good direction.

Since this is a bitcoin forum, it should be obvious that the majority of the members here believe that level can be reached, personally I think that price is reachable during the current bull run, but we may not see it until the next year, however you need to learn to form your own opinion, as listening to the rumors, even if on this particular case the rumors seem to be correct, could lead you to make mistakes you would not do, if you could more or less predict the overall direction of this market on your own.

As usual - I and everyone here don't know for sure when the price of bitcoin will break above $100K. Prices may rise faster than expected - but the main thing is; how much can you have in a market situation like this. You need to focus on how to build a good portfolio so you can make a profit - so ignore for a moment when that $120K will happen.

If you don't have any bitcoin - it's useless to hope that the price will reach $120K. You will not get anything other than just seeing the euphoria of holders who managed to get double returns from their investments. So - focus on the portfolio, that's the most important thing.

It could happen the question is when would it happen?
If we would base it on the previous record we could say that the price would only go up, it is only a matter of time before it hits 6 digit.
And most of us are anticipating it, might happen this year since we still have more than 6 months before this year ends.
I think most of us are or was expecting it to reach 6 digit before or after the previous halving that occurred on April.

Bitcoin current highest price is somewhere above $73,000 therefore if we're predicting a new highest price we should be looking at values closed to $100,000 or slightly above it but I think $100,000 should be where we should be trading at by the end of the year. I would not be surprise though if we are trying more than that because the market is already too bullish as I said earlier. We have Bitcoin spot ETF that brings alot of institutional investors into the market and it should contribution to the price of Bitcoin rising higher.

The truth is that the $120,000 is very feasible to be hit by Bitcoin, even in this current bullish season, but we should also think minimally and apply some caution so that it will not mislead us. Besides, let me sound this as a note of warning to you, no one knows what will happen in Bitcoin emphatically, we are all trying to speculate. For this, anyone whose speculation is not constructive enough should be disregarded. Fine, you heard that Bitcoin would hit $120,000, asking how from those who said so is a very good way to start. This is how you know they are serious with their utterance.

But for me, the market is difficult to speculate at an upper end that it has never reached before and I believe those who are predicting such are only doing some kind of guesswork. This could be based on the assumption of what they feel have happened and using it to guess what could happen afterwards. But the market doesn't work like that, it can disappoint the most promising guesses at times.

Lastly, we need a break of the current ATH at $73,830 to start with, and if that level could be breached successfully with a serious bullish trend confirmation, then $100,000 may be possible over time before even thinking of the $120,000.

I think, it will going to happen in the future and it will be favourable if you can settle down to learn and have the knowledge of Bitcoin, because it never too late for anyone to learn decentralized currency, but there are some people will conclude that is too late for them to learn. If you look where Bitcoin price is coming from and where the price has reached in the market, you will agree with me that the price of Bitcoin will going to reach $120,000 before the end of 2027, because holders are still expecting $90,000 before the end of this year before they can release their Bitcoin. For many hodlers to experience that amount in the market, they need to exercise patience in their holding, because the price will definitely come to reality in the future.

This will definitely happen, I do not know when it will happen but I am sure that it will happen. What we are going to need is a lot of people who trust that it will happen, because if people trust it then they will either buy or they will simply not sell. However, right now there are way too many weak hands in the market, and they keep selling whenever there is even a small drop, and that can't be all that great for the market.

Plus, we need to realize that it is not going to be easy to make that money back when it goes back up, so we need to learn to hold it as much as we possibly could, that would make things a lot better for us. The greatest thing we could do right now would be just making sure that things are going greater.
These type of thinking will end up with something much better, it should not be really all that complicated at all, it should be something that will be a lot better when you think about it and this is why I believe that we are going to just end up with something much better. I do understand that it may not get all that complicated and it may not be all that easy to handle, but the reality is that we are going to be doing something we should not be doing by keep trading.

People who look at it should just realize that bitcoin price will go up, and as long as it could keep going, we could probably make as much money as we possibly could and that should be the most important part, if we do that then we will win. Just keep holding.

Nah, BTC didn't hit $120k yet. But no doubt that BTC has a history of great price increases. There are some patterns too that we can look at like every after 4 years. The $70k that you mean had happened in 2021 and if we count it from there to this current year, where are new ATH have been achieved already, I think that was only 3 years (not 4).
That's right. prices below $70,000 have occurred in the year you mentioned. In 2024, March, the price chart reached $73,777.00. The price increase several times that passed the ATH price in 2021 was beyond the expectations of many speculators and for me it was a surprise. But it became material to add strength to speculators after the halving occurred where $100,000 was the expected price as the beginning of higher predictions.

Many are still saying that the momentum will continue till next year. There are lots of ways to make a good amounts of profits here in crypto that doesn't require waiting for that big milestone in BTC. And that is even not guarantee, despite BTC being a great crypto. So, people should not only hold on to that promise.
We'll see around August. My estimate is that August could be a good momentum for the Bitcoin market price to become bullish.
If the situation is still stable, it is possible next year. Try to pay attention to the RSI if you are often in front of the monitor.

Well we can not know if this is true for Bitcoin to reach $120,000. But I think there is many of us investors that is ‘bullish’ and think price will be much more then this.
For me it not if that price will happen. But when will that price happen. If this is the price point of $120,000 that you are waiting for it to reach, then just keep on hodling.
We still have alot of time to get here but this price may even happen sooner then we all think.

A possibility that will happen based on the historical price movements that have occurred but no one knows when the right time will happen.
We just follow the way the Bitcoin market works in a four-year cycle.
We are still waiting for the price of $100,000 as a new achievement after four years ago the price only reached below $70,000 as the highest price achievement.

Anything can happen including achieving the question you asked about the price of $120,000.

Welcome to the forum. You registered 8 months ago but just posted your first message. If you have read the forum and especially this Speculation section during this time, you will have seen that similar threads has been opened. When will Bitcoin be $100.000? When will it be $120.000? There are many similar topics. Yes, Bitcoin will probably be $120.000 one day. The important thing is how much Bitcoin you can accumulate until then. I think you should focus on that and try to increase the amount you have.

What you heard is not rumors but basic speculation from Bitcoiners and some price experts and they are not wrong to say that Bitcoin will get to $120k but the little uncertainty there is that no body can tell you the particular time or month that Bitcoin is expected to hit $120k. If you hear that Bitcoin will get to $120k, that's right but it is not easy to know when the price will come to light. Currently we are in the bull season and most are speculating for $85k - $100k+ which I am not sure when Bitcoin will also reach that price but I believe that the price might get to $80k before the end of this year.
