Rawr... wtf is wrong with 'trust farming'? Is there another way to build rep? If I borrow something then pay it back as agreed then I deserve positive feedback for not running off. Keep your satoshis then... this is just a hobby.

you will earn trust if users think you deserve it. you can build your reputation here by doing trades, helping the community etc. if you just want to borrow money to build rep then it is frowned upon here and some users might give you red trust for doing that

It's annoying. AFAIK, Trust farmers're opposed/frowned upon by the community(including me).
Is there another way to build rep?
Yep, do legit trades. Basically, You're asking a rep. loan.
If I borrow something then pay it back as agreed then I deserve positive feedback for not running off. Keep your satoshis then... this is just a hobby.
How if you don't return 'em ?

Hmm I haven't gotten into alt coins much.

I want the loan as insurance for my similar deposit in this game: https://cryptoboost.co/ref/vfcoy0pb9ejmki

Most of my btc (0.2) is here (ROI tomorrow): https://btcsprout.com/r?=1KMQ3j83CDEVkKC2SpLJyRfssq54Fx6a7Q
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13625311

If you cannot help me with this then perhaps you can grant me a smaller loan (with low interest please) to help my reputation for now? I can pay it back within 18 hrs.

LOL

Double Ponzi ref link dropping and attempted trust farming all wrapped up in one...
And you want this loan to "insure" your deposit in a scam site? Nope..

Btw Robertt's sig brought me here.

Hey, that's pretty cool Smiley

I can give you the loan if you have something good like altcoin for collateral, but unfortunately your reputation isn't good enough for a no collateral loan and your account will not suffice either..

@ DarkStar_, Robertt, Operatr, +

You see how many loan requests I have received in this thread, I have received many more via PM too..

I am doing my best to only fund good loans, obviously for my own financial reasons, but I realize that eventually I am probably going to take a hit on one sooner or later and can only do the best I can, like exchange trading.

There is a lot of risk in this and it is not easy to research an account/person and come to a decision in a timely manner to give response to a loan request. This is probably a lot more risk and work than it's worth for the meager profits, and with the recent outbreak of hacked accounts it probably is not a good time for a newcomer to get into this line of work/trade. I have even thought about shutting this down the last couple days due to the amount of scam attempts aimed at me but I think I'll keep chuggin away at it as it gives me something semi-productive to do.

I followed this section and did my homework for a while before starting this but by that I can only understand so much. The only way I'm going to really learn this, and this Bitcoin/Crypto economy in general, is to do it. I have been in the exchange-trading economy for a long time but not the P2P economy. All of my BTC came from trading on Cryptsy, 95%+, never bought a single satoshi. I have put an insane amount of effort into gathering all the BTC that I have and I am lucky to still have it while so many others lost all. Now all of that, pretty much everything I know about crypto, has been raped out from underneath me. So here I am finding a new way to satisfy my crypto bug..

All I can say guys is thanks for the advice and welcoming me. I'll try not to feed the scammers..

Lenders BE CAREFUL PLEASE!!!

Please check the usernames at https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php if they have recently changed their password and now asking for loans, they are most likely HACKED ACCOUNTS.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Look at recent post and request a signed message from a staked address that was posted BEFORE the account password  was changed. Somehow recently a hacker got a hold of a lot of accounts and is now looking for loans on these HACKED accounts with no intention of paying back the loan.

This is JUST A WARNING, I am NOT accusing anyone here of being a scammer. I just want lenders to understand what is happening here.

There are so many scammers on this thread, and a few of them are all the same person on multilevel accounts.
Also, you can check to see if someone reset their password on the "Trust" on their profile page. It'll show at the top if "this user recently changed their password" or however it says it.
That's why taking accounts as collateral isn't the best thing to do anymore
Getting a staked message can usually prove that the account isn't hacked.
There still is a risk that the account was sold however, and the keys were sold with it.

I know it's crazy the amount of accounts that seem to have been compromised. A signed message from a wallet address that was staked is the best way to go for SOME KIND of protection IMO. Also only dealing with a trusted member of the forum who's password hasn't recently been changed.
