Mine at Jonny's Pool

Well folks, it's official!

I hope you are all as excited about this as I am Smiley

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 7/31/14
CoinCadence.com Acquires P2Pool.org Domain
And Announces Plans For New Open Source P2Pool Dashboard

Stamford, CT: Today, CoinCadence.com, a Bitcoin startup focused on mining decentralization and transparency, announced that they have acquired the p2pool.org domain name. p2pool is a decentralized mining pool that creates a peer-to-peer network of miner nodes working together as a mining pool. p2pool is open source and any miner may host their own node and join the pool.

Milk House, LLC’s managing member said, “We have been working with the p2pool mining community to develop the most data-rich and useful p2pool dashboard available at minefast.coincadence.com. With the acquisition of p2pool.org we now have even greater capabilities to promote the growth of p2pool and strengthen the decentralized mining network.”

The company plans a staged roll-out for the new p2pool.org website:

● The existing p2pool.org site will remain as-is until the new site is complete, mining will not be interrupted.

● By September 1st: A fresh home page for p2pool.org explaining the benefits of becoming a p2pool node operator, a public Coin Cadence p2pool node with 0% fee for those that are not able to operate their own node, and links to accredited p2pool resources and guides.

● By November 1st: Open source version of the data-rich Coin Cadence p2pool dashboard released including real time data from p2pool and the Bitcoin blockchain and an API that provides historical data.

Hey windpath, congrats on the acquisition!!!  You've done a great job so far and have been a highly valued contributor to the p2pool experience for miners.  I know when I'm not mining on my own node, I'm on yours.  I'm glad I was able to contribute to what is, at least in my view, the best p2pool experience going.  I wish you all the best, and look forward to your upcoming release.

I'd like to propose a bounty to fix the p2pool issue on the neptune.  Who's with me?

wrong thread, but yes, do it. Take it to KnC thread or their own forums.

I'd like to propose a bounty to fix the p2pool issue on the neptune.  Who's with me?

It is likely a problem with the Neptune not liking the job restarts every 30 seconds.  If so, there isn't much that can be done about it on the p2pool side, if anything.

Hey all,
Wondering....
Has everyone seen a huge, more then 50 % loss of income here in the last month?
I know as the hash rate has been going up, the shares are more difficult
and the block payouts are lower... And I understand that we should see an
increase in the blocks to almost balance it out.

But this is not the way it has been working out for me at least?

Actually getting a bit nervous at the low payouts?

Thanks for any input.... I know I cant bee the only one.

According to my calculations, my expected earnings for the time period of 6/29 - 7/28 was about 1.9837BTC
My actual earnings in that same time period: 2.3968BTC

So, no, I'm not seeing a 50% reduction in income.

I do not, they only sent me a Saturn originally and I've not heard from them since and know basically nothing about the Neptune.

Shall I send you mine? :-D

Only if you don't want it returned.

Have a yarn to -ck he could explain what's going on there with your Neptune. He probably has one.

Initial tests seem to indicate that KnCMiner Neptune firmware neptune-1.00 (but probably NOT the Jupiter/Saturn) has issues running on p2pool.  It looks like its losing about 14% of my hashrate for some reason

Here it is running for 9 hours on p2pool, Current firmware revision: neptune-1.00 (cgminer 4.4.1)

Hashrate on non-p2pool pool now shows 2.862 THs average over about 1 hour

I think its pretty safe to confirm that there is an issue with the Neptune and p2pool.  I have a few different public nodes and this lower hashrate was pretty much consistent.

If there is a fix for this, i will gladly jump back onto p2pool

I am going to open a support ticket with kncminer as well

I confirmed my Jupiter and Saturn are working well on p2pool and reporting accurate hashrate.  I am trying Neptune on eligius for half a day  and will report back.

Its a relatively old thread, but p2pool seem(s/d) to play well with KNC gear...
