I don't know yeah different views on different miner's , yeah i am confused as well , but unless i buy one and personally run it in my home i am not gonna know how much it is gonna make in a day.

It differ's from country to country , so i think the best would be to buy anything in a single piece and then go forward to buying more, for now i will buy the

s5

s7

or the s9

depending on if my funds get recovered or not.

Smiley

or else i will just start from the s5 and gradually accumulate and get the s7 and the s5.

The Antminer s9 has 13 th/s more hashpower than the antminer s5 or s7

Power

Hash Rate
14,000.0 GH/s
Mines
  Bitcoin
Power cost per day
$ 3.96
Return Per Day

not bad for 14 th/s

so a average s5 mines 0.001B a day a antminer s9 would mine 13 times faster

Yeah i noted that , i was keeping in mind if maximum was mined 0.1Btc per day

then then i though omg it was corrected to 0.001Btc per day ,Then i though omg i miscalculated let me just update it and go to sleep but thn i thought lt me just wake up and update it but thanks you took care of the correction for me.

So basically that's a value for 0.1B per day

For 0.001Btc per day its indeed 0.03Btc per month.

So you gonna pay around 2250 dollars of electricity bill and make what 18 dollars per month.Huh

Has anyone any idea's about antminer s7 it  has 3 th/s more hashpower than s5 .

Better consider Antiminer S9 which has 14 Th/s.

??

But the power consumption must be equally huge right.??

This was a calculation on the basis the antminer makes 0.1B per day , but a user here say's it dosen't

I have three of these running along with an S3 and I produce (on average) 0.1 BTC every other day. It's weird... I charge $80 an hour for my tech services but I'm so much more excited over that damned $12 a day that I ever was over what I do for a living.

check the amazon reviews

but i don't know in average it might produce 0.001B - 0.1B as per a bitcoin talk member and an amazon member review.

These calculations are for 0.1B per day

For 0.001B the miner approximately gives 0.03B with the same power consumption charges, which is even more loss.

0.001 B is not bad for a day , but the ant miner takes huge amounts of current/voltage even though it says it takes only half the amount of the electricity of the other miner's in the market.

Usually for a household here the domestic allowance per household is 3kv.

On normal usage

(Fans,Different kind of lighting, Air conditioner, Washing machine ,Induction,Laptop,Lcd tv ,Mobiles charging,Kitchen appliances, Dvd player)

Takes around 200-450 volts for 2 months.

That is approximately 17 dollars for 2 months.

But the Antminer consumes

The AntMiner S5 consumed 13.88 KWH of electricity for a day of mining.Which is 2795 volts for 24 hours , it's almost 10 times higher than a normal household voltage consumption.

Kwh to Volts converter

http://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/kw-to-volt-calculator.htm

AntMiner S5

Hashing power                                              1155 GH/s
Continuous power                                          578 Watts
Daily usage                                                  13.88 KWH

as per this user review

http://bitcoinrancher.com/bitmain-antminer-s5-power-consumption/

So the power factor is a high consideration but if you say it makes 0.001b In Average run of 24 hours , then it would be able to make 2.5-3 btc a month.

So the Average earning would be 1800 dollars monthly .

With current costs around 75 dollars for 24 hours

which comes around 2250 dollars monthly.

So you gonna make 1800 dollars but how will you pay the current bills then.??

Then probably if you wanna just run it for a week then it's probably ok , but a month uh oh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not going to tackle the basic electrical theory and its application portion of your post, but I will say that your calculations for monthly BTC earnings are off by a factor of 10^2. Using your estimates and your rounding of decimals, you should have gotten something more like 0.03BTC a month (30 days) not 3BTC.

Your expected rewards are completely dependent on the current network difficulty and how much hash power you've got.  Remember, these are "expectations" not "what you're going to make".

Whoever told you that you can make 0.1BTC a day with an S5 is lying.  An S5, with 1.115TH/s expects to make 0.001336BTC a day.

I own an S5, and it's worked just fine for me.  I've never used it with p2pool, and I remember some people had issues (losing 10% of hash rate).  That was a year or so ago, and my memory is a bit fuzzy on the details Smiley.

Thank's for our info i was a newbie to mining when i bought that , but now i have some good idea, i was considering buying a Antminer S5, the usb stick is for test purposes to test the p2pool and see i if my computer is compatible with miner's , it seems everything work's fine.

I am planning to upgrade to 1-5 Ant miner S5 ' s in a year. that would be like (1 TH/S to 5 TH/S in a day.)

so can you give me a overall output of how much an Antminer S5 would be able to mine in a day.( in about 1 TH/S )

Some say it could be upto 0.1 btc a day depending on the pool.

but i want P2pool info for Antminer S5

You seem pretty good in this stuff, it would really be helpful if you explainded the Antminer S5 specific's too. Thanks!!!

So, first of all, when you mention a block erupter, you mean one of those little USB sticks that does about 333Mh/s, right?  I hate to burst your bubble here, but at current difficulty you would expect to earn about 0.00000039BTC a day.

With p2pool, to even get paid, you need to find a share to be added to the share chain.  That share needs to be on the payout list when somebody finds a block.  Currently, p2pool expects to take about 13 days to find a block.  This means if you are constantly mining with your BE and p2pool is finding blocks at about 100% luck, then every 13 days or so you would expect to see a payout of 0.00000507BTC, which is a dust transaction.  In other words, most mining pools wouldn't consider accepting that as a valid input to any transaction you might want to send, and your transactions would remain pretty much guaranteed not to ever confirm.

By they way, windpath owns/maintains p2pool.org.  He also runs minefast.coincadence.com (a good p2pool node).

I know you would like to mine, and seems like you want to be on p2pool; however, with that BE it just won't be worthwhile.

i started using p2p pool with my asic block erupter, and also i can see it connects , current reward for block's is 0 btc but after 24 hours mining it is 0.01 btc,

so does this mean that after 24 hours if i connect and and mine and find a block i will be paid 0.01.??

also the bfg miner is showing 0.00 btc/ hr

then it updated to 196nbtc/hr

1 nBTC = 0.000000001 BTC

after it started accepting so it means its mining 196nbtc now for a hour right.??

so how to i get paid and when and how can i see how much has the bfg miner mined.Huh

there are lots of pools named p2pool

http://www.p2pool.com/

i am using this one , i don't know the pool mentioned here is the same one.

other places named p2pool

http://p2pool.in/

http://p2pool.org/

some guy on a another thread told me this was the officil p2pool thread can anyone help me

and let me know when i will be paid what i mined.??

Which block are you referring to? We found two.

Btw, windpath, http://minefast.coincadence.com/p2pool-stats.php is getting confused.

I fix broken miners. And make holes in teeth :-)
I'm pretty sure WP quoted 1 BTC. Seems fair to me, since he is also hosting the website and likely doing the programming for the donation link.

But we're halfway there! If we get lucky and hit a few blocks in a row (not like the last 36 days!) maybe I can chip in more.  Maybe the creator Forest monitors this forum sometime and will chip in. I always have my node donate 1% to him and I'm sure many others do too.

If your listening Forest chip in! Love your work on P2Pool and the hope is this will only make it more popular! And, of course, save BTC thru decentralized mining  Grin

It was 1 BTC, and note it will go to current miners, not me Wink

As a side note, raising some money for Forrest rather than asking for it might be more appropriate Smiley
naah, you volunteered, so there we go. Forrest gets the 1%. I can't donate a bitcoin at this time, so anyone else want to step up with the rest?

Touché. I wasn't trying to offend Forest, rather benefit the entire community. For the record, I've donated 1% of all my earnings to him. My intent has simply been to help P2Pool grow, and if we ever get this donation link launched I believe Forest would make back far more than his contribution (as will all us miners).

I'm definitely still a newbie to this forum, and apologize if I offended Forest or anyone else. There's a reason I'm an electrical engineer, and not a PR spokesperson.  Undecided

Again, sorry if I offended. Still halfway there! Let's make it happen Captain!
