Now Satoshi did write a paper used to start bitcoin, but it sure isn't a gospel nor is it a way for most to use to make money with.
The big flaw in the satoshi system is dishonest miners which may be exploited eventually via huge pools or even huge corps.
Then you have his error in his gambling ruin theory, the way he states it is wrong, a gambler with unlimited assets starts negative when does he get even.
So he phrased it semantically wrong.

I just bet my negative amount every hand or throw of the dice, so as satoshi stated it, he's wrong, yet if you research what he was talking about you have to put restrictions on the unlimited wallet as to how large of a fraction of the negative the gambler can try to recover in any one bet, so satoshi doesn't mention the reason that forumula works, is that they limit the amount the unlimited wallet can bet.
Now a card counter changes the whole gamblers ruin theory, so a card counter can beat gambler ruin and so can you with the Sollog wager, yeah the guy that owns the book in this thread.
Most if not all Casinos changed the dice rules to Caesars seeing Sollog destroy their dice table with the SOLLOG WAGER over 20 years ago.
Before Sollog hit caesars huge, in early 1990's, anyone could bet almost unlimited monies or at the worse case at least 150 on a 2 or 12 in a casino on a crap table, it was NORMAL LIMITS on almost every crap table in casinos then, 150 while a few had a high risk bet over it, now almost every casino puts a 100 buck bet on a 2 or 12 on a dice table.
Here's why, as Sollog exploited it, dice follow a 36 to 1 probability on a 2 or 12, they pay 31 to 1 usually so they make their 5 points.
That's why casinos always have the edge, you hit a 36 to 1 odd bet they pay only 31.
Now look at the long bet in 2 throws, while each throw is 36 to 1 probably, if you give the player two throws the odds are simple squaring, 18 to 1 the number will come out in two throws.
So a 36 to 1 odd number is mathematically 18 to 1 probably if given two throws It's still against you 36 to 1 as a one throw bet, but if given two tries it will hit 1 in 18 times in two rolls which is 36 to 1 in 1 roll.
Now guys that work the pit have seen people playing the follow bet, any crap player will tell you certain numbers seem to FOLLOW others, and the hardest numbers sometimes hit back to back.
Well Sollog walks up to a crap table has a 25 per bet line meaning he is playing every number on one of his hot young gorgeous VIRGIN shooters, she's coming out with 7's and 11's left and right, so as soon as she gets on the table her VIRGIN LUCK gets a point after hitting a bunch of 7's and 11's he pressed each bet, in other words he was going balls to the wall with a virgin shooter in Caesars.
So she gets a point and sollog does his every number bet and has all the hardways going and a 20 buck horn.
So she's rolling for ever, when the horn doesn't hit he refills from his huge lines rolling with a virgin shooter.
So eventually she hits a 2 or 12, she hit several, so when one hits he gets paid 31 to 1 on his 5 buck action on the 20 buck horn.
So he has 160 coming back, now he removes all horn best he parlays the 160 on the follow bet of the 2 or 12, if a 2 comes out you press all the horn winnings on the 12, or vice versa.
While theoretically we know it's 36 to 1 probably any 1 roll a 2 or 12 comes out, for one moment in time the gambler has an edge, he knows the last roll the opposite number didn't hit so now he can get in on a two roll bet, the odds of the mate to the hard number that hit coming out in two rolls is 18 to 1 and the house is paying that one roll 31 to 1.
You won't hit it all the time, but you will hit it 1 in 18 times.
So Sollog is busting the table with a virgin shooter that was rolling almost 30 minutes, every so often Sollog pulls back some of the winnings, but then he goes press press press press knowing he has virgin luck going, in that one session he play quite a few follow bets and hit 3, caesars puts him up their penthouse and wants to know what thinktank he's from.
Next day casinos start limiting the follow bets to 100
You used to be able to move a 5 buck horn play into over 5K with the sollog wager.
25 piece of a horn moved into 25K but most casinos never let horn action go more than 150 back in the day, now it's 100.
