Now it's very easy to lose by investing in unreliable coins, so I would advise you to invest in Ethereum. The price is very good now and the potential is very large.So far, a lot of people prefer investing in quantity than quality and as long as it can give them a huge quantity, they just imagine how much it would give them if peradventure the market ends up mooning big time but unfortunately, things do not work that way. No one can categorically state the level at which an altcoin is going to be increasing in the long run, but one thing for sure right now is that for those who may be picking altcoins with very solid product at dips now, they would definitely be getting some mouthwatering profit in the long run. $1800 to invest is pretty huge and investing at this point in time when the market is low is actually a very good timing but there are so many fishes in the sea, which makes it important to be extra, careful. For good ones, ADA, QTUM, STRAT may be some pretty good options.
Buy bitcore, its all time high was nearly $40 and now it's worth $1.
I am also investing in this altcoin because the price has dropped a lot in the past and the very cheap price is a very good opportunity for all investors. Horrible thing to put a huge amount of $ into the alts right now, Just look at the volume trade and its movement, it could make me abort to trade. But if you insist, just put it to the coin that have a good agenda in the following week/month

If you have the 1800$ in usdt/USD then I would suggest you go for BTC at the moment to be on the safer side. But if you want to get into alts then there are many alts who are retraced a lot in dollar value some of my top picks are EOS, VET, NPXS, ICX, ONT. do your own research on them though before investing.
Get some cheaper altcoins, don't ever think of buying coins with higher amount above $50-100/ coin, get cheaper altcoins below $5-10 by doing this you can easily get some altcoins that is gonna bring more profit for you
