So
AC = 100
CB = 000
AT = 001

 So AC+CB+AT = 101

But i still dont know what ask 4 the key means.

101 * 4 = 404 but that doesnt solve anything

Well solving CB, AC and AT as pseudo-simultaneous equations gives:

A = 1
B = 0
C = 4
T = 1

You mentioned earlier that the order these letters were used in doesn't matter in the slightest, which means if we're using the letters as numbers then it has to be a multiplication. But with B = 0, any multiplication will give 0.

But yes, by the above CB = 4 x 0 = 0, so Charlie is worth nothing.

Can I ask 4 the key please?

{or just look in the top right corner and it tells you that its worth nothing....}

EDIT: Some other thoughts....

One clue mentioned that a "5 year old could do it" (or something to that effect). Given that Turing seems to be a reference in this, I'll jump to the following wildly improbably conclusion:

The 5 is a reference to the 5 digit binary code that Turing used for representing letters. I don't have that table to hand here at work, but it's also worth noting that Turing's convention for writing binary was to have the most significant bit on the RIGHT, not the left. So 4 for example would be 001.

How any of the above probable tripe plays into this is anyone's guess.

Sorry this is becoming asking game but i have to ask:
Is "bitcoin" upper part of coins used in any part of solution, since it stands out being only lowercase. Answer will save endless dead ends.

no it is not, simply get AC, AT, CB working together for a decimal answer, the ask 4 the key and bin it ;0

PS. Asking questions is the best way to get to the answer!

A = 1
B = 2                We have some options:  2xA+2xC+B+T = 30
C = 3                AC = 13     AT = 120    CB = 32     wich would be = 165
T = 20               It could also be (A+C) X (A+T) X (C+B) = 4 x 21 x 5 = 420 BLAZE IT
                        or  (AxC) + (AxT) + (CxB) = 3 + 20 + 6 = 29
                        or (AxC) x (AxT) x (CxB) = 3 x 20 x 6 = 360

I dont know what ''ask 4 the key'' means tho.

solve the mathematical problem for getting AC,CB,AT working together first, before you ask for the key and bin it

11011000001

Base58 to binary of CB, AT, AC in that order then ANDed.

The password has 9 characters not 11, come on now at least read the first post

Hot damn I am stupid today. Thanks Tongue

This is taking an eternity, perhaps we should stop guessing and think about it for a moment.

That would be the wise decision

At least you and TGBEX are getting a free advertisement here and on twitter  Cool

Free?

Well, that is the one of the purposes of it, isn't it?

I don't know about free....

We have had to put some resource towards creating the treasure hunt and I have personally put quite a bit of time in myself. The 1 BTC TGBex bitcoin is worth around $400. (someone has to eventually win it)

I think we have taken a different approach compared to other posts that offer dust to basically just spam the forum  to get brand recognition.

Just the 1BTC alone would probably have been better spent just starting a sig campaign....

we want to be different and I really hope you guys are enjoying the treasure hunt, I have learnt stuff so I'm sure others have too.

lol, didn't meaning it that way.

Well, yeah, that is why I suggested multiple prizes in the beginning.
