Even though I am not a smoker, but I know how my friend struggled to quit smoking and finally succeeded. Cigarette addiction cannot be stopped,
if there is no strong desire within oneself to quit. Therefore, if we want to quit smoking, the first thing to do is to intend ourselves to quit smoking.
Simply by doing this, I see my friend can succeed in quitting smoking. So I appreciate anyone who can quit smoking is a great achievement,
I know it's not an easy process to quit smoking.

We also have one in the family that is struggling to quit. He quit once but goes back again. But he felt the change in his body when he quit for about 2 weeks, and he liked it. But unfortunately, he returned to smoking. I believe, it needs strong motivation why you are quitting for good. And maybe, strong support from the people around you. I really commend those people that finally are cigarette-free. For me, that's a huge achievement to change for the betterment of yourself.

I quit 2 years ago and I never felt better. I know it sounds strange but I read a book and I it was easy to quit. I strongly encourage everyone to do so because they can but they dont know that.
I have quit smoking many, many times. And only the last one turned out to be successful. It was five years ago. I remember that I had almost a full pack of cigarettes. I did not throw it away immediately, I kept it just in case. Only three months later, I threw away this pack of cigarettes. The main thing is to want very much, and that there would be no smokers nearby.

It is not easy to quit smoke, but you did it. It is easy to say, but it is hard to do.
Yeah we smoker knows the struggle mate , it is not easy to stop when you are doing this for long time, when this is part of your daily routine..

Congratulations @OP. I hope you do not smoke anymore in the future, and you can live healthy without smoke. Maybe it needs to have a strong mind to say not to smoke.
That's the problem , we have seen some people that had stopped for years but all of a sudden they return back smoking after.

I read a thread somewhere that He stopped smoking and all the Amount he is spending in Smoking is now invested in Bitcoin.

Maybe in 2 years time ? he'll be a profiteering because from then it's more than a year now.

Quitting a bad habit is really hard and difficult to do but just like dreams, this requires real determination if you want to achieve it.

Amazing! It's not an easy decision to make, to be very honest smoking  is very difficult to end and stop. Bad and wrong company needs to be avoided, try not to be idle.. because been idle. Brings about smoking thoughts.. once more again I'm happy for you.for the bold step you took.

First I want to congratulate you on your achievement not everyone could do it,
We could all encourage everyone but not everyone could do what you've done you might find it easy but others would find it to be so difficult.
I also heard that there are some cases where those who have been smoking for so long would really have a hard time stopping it,
There are some who would be sick or something I think the longer they had been smoking the harder it would be for them to stop.
I also has been smoking cigarette for about 2 or more years but I decided to quit and right after I decided I just stop on smoking it might have been easy for me but I know how hard it would be for others since I was only smoking for 2 or more years and there would be some days that I would really crave for it.

Congrats mate , Lucky for you that had been quit for more than 2 years while i am just starting now , i am taking it hard but i know i will succeed one day.

i am always fond of those smokers that eventually made their way to smoke free living.

Nice one my friend @OP. You know, the most difficult part about staying out of what you've condemned as a bad habit is the determination and staying true to your words especially, when you've got no one pushing you to do it. You knew what you want to achieve and your two years on it so far. Cheers!
and sometimes it is the community you are living with , if the people around you are smokers then for sure it will be harder to motivate yourself from completely stepping out.

I quit smoking before 3 but soon after probably half a year, I started to smoke Iqos cigarettes.
Something bad happened in my family and I took one cigar after that another and just went and bought Iqos.
I know its not like to stop but i feel excellent for now. It will come the time to quit and those Cheesy
I'm happy about you ! Keep this state of mind and don't start them again !

You will require strong power within yourself to say it no and just stop it all of it. It would be difficult initially but if you can overcome those times then you should be set like others who have quit smoking for their own good. It is self-control which is essential to stop such habits.

Congratulations, 2 years is a good time to be a non smoker. It took me 3 years to fully stop smoking, and I only managed it do it during the corona pandemic. It's been half a year now and I hope I can keep it up once we go back to normality.
