Congrats for overcoming cigarette smoking.

Its not really easy to quit and you feel something unusual if you tried to not smoke even for few hours.

But it can be done slowly, I would appreciate if you share your experience on quitting successfully.
+

I left it slowly with gum. First I tried to quit without using gum or anything and I started smoking again soon after. Then I started smoking nicotine gum and slowly lowered the dosage. I started with about 10 pieces of gum, and after a week I went down to 9, then 8, and so on. In the end, when I was only eating 2 or 3 pieces of gum a day, I stopped the gum as well.

Of course, ayahuasca ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayahuasca ), when used properly, can make you cigarette AND weed free.

Cool

Isn't ayahuasca just DMT in more natural form?
I know there are some rituals involved in true ayahuasca experience but IDK if people get better or more enlighten after that, or just get a touch a death in their mind permanently...

Doesn't a "more natural form" mean that there's a whole lot of stuff along with it? Perhaps it's not milder. Maybe it is simply used the way nature really intended.

Cool

OP - This is fantastic news because quitting is never easy and if you can do it then it means you have a good control on your decision and this will help you in your future. Smoking is dangerous and it effects the body, some have a good resistance so not much ill effects happen else have seen people due to which at later stage in life different related diseases takes place.

I quit 2 years ago and I never felt better. I know it sounds strange but I read a book and I it was easy to quit. I strongly encourage everyone to do so because they can but they dont know that.

It is easy to quit it if you take this decision.
You have to be kind of "selfish" to quit it and support the decision that you made to quit it.
Congratulations for your strength and I hope that you will spend the money saved from not buying cigarettes to a good investment that will pay you back!

Congratulations buddy, that is great news. Keep it up.

I stopped smoking at the start of the corona pandemic, so far it's going good but I am afraid to start smoking again when the pandemic is over. With corona being really bad if you have preconditions in your lungs I got scared straight.

I quit nearly 60 years ago. I watched a film about the cilia in your lungs, and I gave up on the spot.

Congratulations, it's an achievement!

I don't smoke but I have my brother who's struggling to quit it and even he says, he'll quit, he just can't. Can you share how you were able to conquer and quit smoking?
You need strong will and desire to stop. That's the first step. Reading book It's easy to quit smoking helped me a lot. I still have desire to smoke but I have to stay strong
Welp.

My brother doesn't have that strength in his will to quit smoke. It's always about talks that he wants to quit but lacks of action.

I'll tell this to him, thanks!

Two years of successfully being free from smoking is a major achievement in your person, hopefully it can continue forever so your body and mind are healthier.
