There will by a bull run next year i have no dought about it, the onlly thing scary is that moust of the alts will die and we have to pick the ones that will stay alive!
with market conditions going down, actually we will really see good projects that can survive and those that will disappear from the market.
when the market is in a bull run then we will see only the best assets that have strong market support and good developers who will follow the market growth.

i don't know what on earth would trigger the bullrun in the alts. i think we have seen enough of this bloodbath there is about 8 month left in the bitcoin next block halving and still market condition is not improving. is there will be any improvement in the alts or they all will die
everything will not die but I always believe that the market will remain in such state during Q4. Unsurprisingly, Bakkt has failed and Libra has had too many FUDs, which has led to a reduction in speculators' expectations and a sell-off that caused the market to collapse once again.
But it's okay. Keep trying, by 2020 the market will change and there will be bull tremors in the market. Bear market cannot last more than 2 years.

People tend to be impatient because of the market price which I think is somehow pulling the progress down by spreading FUD about certain projects. Perhaps, we need to focus on mass adoption and there are a lot of projects doing that. A fashion marketplace in Korea will be rewarding their loyal shoppers with cryptocurrency, those things will help the community realize how disruptive this technology is and solve existing issues on different areas.

BTC and ETH didn't meet their ATH in just a few months, it took years and let's not forget that BTC is the best performing asset amongst everyone, ever. Who knows, ETH and other alts may slowly climb up there.

Everything that I have hoped for to bring the bull run for altcoins has come and passed and I still have not seen much signs of bull run, I am just watching the altcoins now to just make their own decision on when to increase our holding in them, or do we just ignore we ever had any investment in altcoins because of the situation of the bear, it is over 2 years now and only bitcoin has been able to come out of the bear market.

If not for bitcoin, Ethereum and the other top coins would not have even witnessed much increase that we have seen of them this year, and I am not so sure if bitcoin is ready to reduce its dominance, but what will reduce the dominance is also my question, will investors just suddenly wake up one day and think of investing in alts alone while they leave bitcoin? I really don’t see the possibility in this.

my guess if its run like previous chart so it will bull in 2021, you can see bitcoin chart from 2013.
but in this situation it will different in past cryptocurrency only a few and now the amount is too much.
so it can be fast bull or long time, depends on situation, usually in late year crypto wil show good/bad news Roll Eyes

Funny to see people now adjusting their 2020s to 2021. Remember in 2018 people were even saying it would recover back in 2019.

I still say what I said in 2018 early, that we should be prepared for years of winter. The bull was too fast and too hot. It'll take a long time yet for this to pass.

Whether it is two years or more years of bear trend, nothing to worry about. All that happening close to the cryptocurrency market runs on a cyclic pattern. Today the price can fall, but the same gets overcome by the growth. Only risk is that we don't know when will the price recovery takes place.

Over the two years we cannot say there isn't any growth, the growth took place in a slower phase and this year the growth is bigger than the previous year. Possibly the gradual growth over the end of the year will be taken to the next year as halving event is gonna take place.

We can't say what will be the trigger point for alts to make a bull run. The last bull was trigger by the whole ICO hype and a lot of buyers who suddenly jump in and wanted to join the hype. Those are newbies in crypto world and think that they can make easy money out of the market.

But the whole complexion has already change though, most of the alts are dying simply because no more investors has the luxury to pour money because everyone today is losing.

So this bear trend could possibly continue leading to the bitcoin block halving. And then we will see if the positive attitude towards that event will have a domino effect to the alt market next year.

I think that there will no longer be any rally as everyone expects, maybe some coins will grow several times, but they will be units. We still haven’t reached the bull market and are in a bear market, they all say about bitcoin halving and that the price should rise, but look at the economic situation in the world, not everything is as good as it seems. So why should bitcoin grow?
There is currently no reason for the price to rise and that has greatly affected the investment of many people in this market. I think we can do nothing but wait and I will wait patiently for Bitcoin to drop to $7,000 because this is the price that may occur in the near future. I don't have much faith in crypto but I will still choose to invest because this is the only market that helps me earn the best profit.

Just look at the current positives of the market, not just the altcoin price. The crypto market is getting more mature, more and more projects are still being launched, and only legit projects, real products and teams can exist. A bear market will purify the market and helping it develop more sustainably.

Yes, Crypto market is becoming more attractive because many new projects and companies are continuously launching their coin with a real product which will be helpful in the real-time environment. This will surely increase the standard of crypto market and every 2 years market will filter the fake coins with no products.

I found this in this forum, but I forgot which thread..  it is stored in my gallery.

every 4 years Bitcoin will Bullish, and it has been proven, in 2013 (the first 4 years) Bitcoin Bullish, then in 2017 (the second 4 years) Bitcoin Bullish again..  and a third Bullish is most likely to occur in 2021 (the third 4 years). I suggest all of us to be patient and HOLD your assets up to the third Bitcoin Bullish,  lest you regret it because when Bitcoin is Bullish, Altcoin is likely to join Bullish too.

If this bears continues to  dominate the market its not good for crypto. We will see huge dumps and basically bitcoin will drop dramatically like what happened last year. But no one knows what will happen next, lets hope that this year would different like what happened in 2018.
This year the market is very volatile and very similar to 2018 so this bear market will also affect a lot of our investments in the near future. I think if Bitcoin cannot return to $10,000 this year, 2020 could be a catastrophic year for this market. Now there is nothing you can predict because we are small investors and have no major influence on this market.

The future is still bright for all altcoin holders. Although it seems as altcoin season has passed but there are still hope. Not all altcoin will fade away, majority will keep flourishing once they are useful and beneficial to their community and investors
We have a good altcoins in the market that can last with bitcoin, and of course this two years bear market will gone in the right time and we know bull market is going to happen again. Buy now because its very cheap and with bitcoin you can earn more, and with good altcoins it will also give a good return to you.

Nothing needs to trigger it, it's all human psychology cycles. When the fear and the desperation is gone, when we have shaken the weaker holders out. Then it's time for next altseason imho. Percentually most of alts will probably die off, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't have even more newer altcoins on the green on the next run though.
What OP's reaction is really desperate and it brings him into great fear where he can't think and decide for the best thing. Emotion is the first enemy as of being an investor or holder, and most likely this is a reason why people turn into panic selling once they hear bad news. Altcoins don't have strong market support for now as most investors are focusing on Bitcoin but we don't close the door for altcoins for a big surprise.

The longer the bear market and cumulative phase, the higher the profits will eventually be. Think about it, smart people buy now to sell at least in 10 times profit because now they risk investing in cryptocurrency, when situation around is not stable.
And smart people knows that buying right now is a proper timing. Those people that are into quick profits will never understand the chance that the market is giving to everybody.
We have surpassed a year long of bear market last 2018 and so what if this is still a bear market? bitcoin has been up so it can be said that it's not really that heavily bearish right now.

actually this depends on how we start and end an investment or trade carried out. when only holding market assets in 2017 until now and not selling because the value is down I think is the wrong choice. we must determine when we will sell assets even in losses, and we will not suffer in bad market conditions even though it's been 2 years we are waiting for a big move to repeat 2017. focus on the market and take the opportunity available even if only a little.
Right time of selling should also be determined by each investor that's here. The opportunity that the market has showed now that there's still time left for cheaper bitcoins.
But everybody doesn't look to that perspective and instead of looking to it, they even bash the market and tells that this market would take a long time before it finally recovers.

The market has actually improved a lot as compared to the previous half of this year. The total market cap has more than doubled. Bitcoin has also more than tripled its value since then. A lot of altcoins such as ETH has also made its way toward $200. We are rising at least compared to the bad days within the year. If we compare it with the best days in late 2017 and early 2018 though, we still have to wait a little longer. But I guess we are going to the better days.
And it is very interesting that just as the market of altcoins began to give some positive signs the market suddenly collapsed, I was watching the markets when it happened and I could hardly believe my eyes, the drop that we experimented yesterday was incredibly quick and all the progress that ETH made during the last week was erased in a matter of hours, this will probably put to rest any chance that we had to see an altcoin season by the end of the year and it probably means that we will see a further decrease during the next months.
