these two coin are in my portfolio and if were you i would leave Ripple. Ripple is my regret and Cardano is one of my favourite coin for the future. i belive Cardona has a great potential.

Probably it will be best to divide the investment between these coins, but I think you will not get a big profit.
5000 Cardano because it is a new project related to blockchain and Ripple is a useless cryptocurrency which doesn’t attract attention from investors yet.

I would say 5K Cardano, I just saw their roadmap and it's looks promising. Cardano developer community is really active and they are working really hard for the success of this project and eventually all of it's hodlers will benefit from it.
I would prescribe that you keep your cardano in light of the fact that it can restore a greater number of advantages than swell as cardano is significantly more enduring. You can buy some other coin for your buddy as a gift with a segment of the coin you have in swell. I don't envision that you will buy with all your coin anyway a couple. The decision is in your court to make on what to do with your coin as people will suggest for you.
To tell the truth I don't believe in both projects. I think much better will be HODL BTC or ETH.

I would invest in cardano, not in ripple, because in my opinion the ripple growth potential has already been exhausted, and cardano became popular later and can bring profit. 
I prefer to keep cardano than ripple, at least cardano has a great whitepaper and their potential is huge compared to ripple centralized system. Once cardano platform is running they will become one of the leader of crypto like what ethereum doing right now, on the other hand ripple is only used by banks so it's not that important beside a speculative assets. Or it's better to keep both but in different proportion
Take both, it would be much better. I also gifted crypto to my friend. Since I am crypto adopter I try to make crypto gifts even to those people who don't know about crypto yet
5000 cardano, because the number is larger. so if the price increases then I get a bigger profit than I invested in 2000 Ripple.
cardano is better than ripple because ripple is just bubble because banks are relates with this coin but in future you will be your own bank and that will be possible only with the coins like candano

In my own opinion, ripple has a better growth in the market because the coin is already popular and obviously there will be more investors for that coin so it will grow faster more than cordano.
