After further review, I would say we need to be watch this Chamber of Digital Commerce group even more than the the Bitcoin Foundation. Boring went to the BF first and met with them privately to discuss this matter. There was absolutely zero transparency in that process, just like when Ghash.IO had it private mining Summit. This is getting way out of hand. Every single action and word, written or spoken, that these summits and meetings contain should be recorded and made public for all to see. Furthermore, every single one of their actions must be openly debated with the entire bitcoin community before they ever do anything.
I can see their current system of secrecy as absolutely nothing more than an easy foot in the door cor credit card companies and banks. They'll just send one of their people to join the CDC on Capital Hill at the very last second and toss in the bill they need that says, "Only large, previously established institutions, like big banks and credit agencies, can ever, for all time, give out BTC loans or notarize BTC contracts."
This is disgusting. I feel sick right now. Cleavage in her business photo? Yeah, you can totally trust her!
Personally, I'd rather see more independent lobbying groups than a single, centralised Bitcoin Foundation. I'll take it as a positive sign that more people are willing to put the effort in and give up their careers to support advocacy efforts. If there's anything inappropriate going on, then feel free to call them out on it, but at the moment there doesn't appear to be anything untoward going on. We should take a cautious but measured approach to this news because, like it or not, we do need people to educate the cavemen in charge about how this fancy technology stuff actually works. If you're volunteering to give up your job to do that, then by all means go ahead, but if all you're going to do is sit at your computer and moan about boobs, then you're not in a position to judge her.
