I think youre right. Next year, I'm forseeing that we'll be closer to our even higher than the previous $1200. Long live bitcoin.

Recently I've seen shops accepting bitcoin more and more often. I'm guessing adoption is driving the price up. If we crash the $1200 barrier, bitcoin will be all over the news. Then, bitcoin will really take off.

I think it will be a lot better than the recent previous ones we had. The price kept going up, but dropping, I still hope it will be. 2016 is the right time.

Damn right it is.  There are a lot of exciting things going on this upcoming year and there are going to be a lot of surprises.  Think of how many new people have been introduced to Bitcoin and what they bring to the business development of it all.

It already becomes a tradition but every year at the end of the year price increases to fall in the beginning of next year. Especially now painted a strange situation in the financial sector.

Well, the price already "broke through" in 2013, but I'd like to see a nice, slow, steady rise in 2016.  Not parabolic bubble type stuff that's unsustainable.  Bitcoin's market cap is going to have to expand significantly in order to be adopted by the great unwashed masses.  Got my fingers crossed.

Probably have to wait a while longer, we are still incredibly early.

Bitcoin doesnt want to go below 300$, despite the problems with block size.

Good, I hope bitcoin will succeed next year.

we are far above $400 now. currently $450 to be more precise. sub $300 isn't something that makes people worry right now. in 2016 sub $300 won't even come into people's minds. we can even see a new ath in 2016. don't think it will be the year of bitcoin, but it will definitely be an important year.

By the end of t he next year i expect to be fixed many bitcoin issue.
Starting from the block size debate that should be fixed.
Then there will happen maybe something at the halving time, 2016 will the year of bitcoin.

We're at $450 USD from what I can see on preev.com, and in my opinion that's huge. We're seeing a steady increase in value as the halving closes in, and it is showing no signs of slowing down at all. I do want to believe this is going to be an amazing year for bitcoin, but there are currently no guarantees that it will.

Personally, I don't think many people care all that much about block sizes as it is, but the market movement is showing that the investors are confident that we'll find a workaround for it.

2016 is already shaping up to be an amazing year for Bitcoin, now all we have to do is see if we can break $500 and keep it steady before January.

...

I just bought some BTC very recently at my city's only (AFAIK) BTM.  This time there were two others waiting to buy as well (all three other times I was the only one).  But the machine was partly on the fritz, only two (of us three) could get our trx through.

The glitches need to get worked out as just ONE of many improvements that they/we need to do and see before BTC takes off.  But, with the nice move to approx. $443, maybe 2015 will lead us into a NICE 2016.

2016 is the 2nd bitcoin halving block
and im sure in 2016 bitcoin would be more stronger from bad news , and certainly bitcoin price would more stronger too

Yes halving would be the prime reason for 2016 will turn as the year of bitcoin. By the way the pre-halving effects already started in 2015 itself. This effects will make more easier to perform better in 2016. I'm awaiting for the halving to happen.

yeah i agree! just hoping that after the halving and the price
goes up, i hope it stays like that not dropping $300 again.
my hope in  bitcoin in 2016 is very high.

Yes there are no chances for bitcoin going back to $300 levels again. Like you many people are closely watching and getting themselves into bitcoin ecosystem to get maximum profits of this race. So, $1200 will be more likely to happen before halving itself.

Will never ever go back to $300 levels again but just looking for a stability of Bitcoin rate in 2016 if the price becomes stable then 2016 will be the year of Bitcoin and we the Bitcoin users will be the top gainers out of it.

Getting BTC to break through mainstream and be acknowledged as a form of currency is s bit off here in the USA, but I am hoping it shortly will be.  I am working with a few companies who we are trying to get to accept BTC from walk in customers.  I am looking for a mobile wallet app recommendation if anyone can help.

The bear market has lasted long enough. I predict 2016 is the year where bitcoin finally breaks through, both in price and in mainstream adoption.

The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.

I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.
yes i also want bitcoin to succeed, and today bitcoin have 4% higher price from tomorow, now on $436. i think its a good news, and good strat to face 2016,as we hope that year will be the year of bitcoin, and i hope no just the price, but so many thing about bitcoin will better.

Indeed all Bitcoin users have same wish and surely value of BTC is gonna increase with leaps and bounces but there might be some setbacks as well we should not get panicked at those situations and utilize the situation like buy more bitcoins during those days and use it in future when the value increases again.

What happens if any of the major CC companies go live using the "good chain"?
What are the effects of segregated Witness for luring larger companies sitting on the fence for scalability?

I don't think segregated witness can do anything to handle the amount of transaction per second guys like VISA are used to deal with, but it's excellent news because we are on the right track and once Lightning Network launches then we are going to see some serious shit as Doc would say.
