Anyone used shift? seems to be the only one that ships plastic in america? Thank you for the awesome thread. Good info in here.

I have, it works great.  It just debits coinbase at the the current market rate. No fees for purchases.

Good deal. Thank you. Still trying to decide :p lol. thanks nice to see positive feedback for them.
The thing with Shift is that they're US only, otherwise it's great for POS transactions and anything else you'd use a debit card for.

Hello
I think the most useful Bitcoin debit card Shiftpay for Coinbas.com because you can use exactly balance of your primary wallet with no fees! Shiftpay has not any fee and it's acceptable anywhere !
I used Spectrocoin, Cryptopay ... All of them have unfair fees, for example, first I need to sell my bitcoin , they buy my bitcoin with very low rate, with 1% fee, then in cryptopay I need to pay 1% fee for top up my card! It is not fair!.
Where Can I see all fees Xapo Bitcoin debit card ?
And do you know a valid Bitcoin website that they issue card without or very low fee without I need to sell my bitcoin ? I mean I want to use my card with my balance.

Thank you

My spectrocard turned out to be working.
Even a declined transaction was refunded, and after changing the credit card processor I could make the wanted purchase.

CEX's service sounds interesting but sadly the fees make it very inconvenient. Then again, this is a new service for an emerging market, even they said that their service's fees will improve over time. I hope that in the future, businesses in the cryprocurrency space will be given the chance to establish partnerships that will help make their services even more competitive with conventional payment channels.

It is my understanding that only those in the US can get the card but it can be used worldwide.

Their fees are expensive, it is not suitable for me.  Cry
their fees is very usual, when you can load your debit card automatically you can afford the fee, and if you don't want your btc to get cut down the amount because of fee simply don't use it

I also like e-coin but I think they are charging a way too high fee so I instead of that use bit-x is right now.
I first was using e-coin but bit-x is much better.

fees should be almost same for all, but exchange rate depend on their internal calculation depending on which exchange is in use, can you compare ?

bit-x I dont like fees for inactivity, i will never use debit card for small withdrawal at all, so it will mostly stay idle for year and then used to cash out all i have

Wirex looks great. I have waited for a while to get a bitcoin debit card for something like this. Does anyone have an affiliate link I can use to get a 25% discount? Please post it in this thread.

Is the fee for conversion from BTC to fiat in addition to currency exchange fees?

Unless you are obsessed with anonymity, it might be easier to use an exchange which charges about 0.25% to convert from btc to fiat, and minimal fees for withdrawing to your bank where you can spend it on your normal debit card.

These bitcoin card providers need to lower their fees considerably to make them attractive.

That is what we offer exactly. At CEX.IO, you can trade Bitcoin for 0.1% to 0.2% (depending on the currency pair) and withdraw to any payment card instantly. You can use Visa or MasterCard issued in any currency.
Information about fees can be found here. Withdrawal fees will be decreased shortly as well.
What we find advantageous about our offer is that you have no need to order a separate card, but use yours instead.

is it instant as well?

In most cases, it is instant.
3.9% + $ 0.25 is the fee for depositing funds, while withdrawal fee is 2.9% + $ 4.99. The latter will significantly decreased within one-two weeks only, and we are sure that such update will make our withdrawal service more competitive to debit cards.
What countries is this service available to?
