I think that 2018 will highlight blockchain technology. I do not expect governments and institutions to reform this issue quickly. But on the Blockchain, many of the actual plants will be planted this year.
Many digital currencies will come to the fore in this process. I think Ethereum will be a little ahead with the reason for the smart contracts it brings.

it looks like 2018 will be a bitcoin day anymore as bitcoin will get more popular and become famous thanks to very fast bitcoin rises and provide very much profit for investors.
Yeah, I also believe that 2018 will still be the year of bitcoin. Although bitcoins price is really down right now, I believe the price will still grow more and more likely to hit the 20k mark again.

Bitcoin with it's high fees and slow transaction times is hardly suitable for payments – spending the same fee whether you buy a coffee or send $100,000 is a joke and the promise of scaling solutions such as the Lightning Network hasn’t been fulfilled.[1]
While there's no shortage of old and new believers to keep the party going, along with plenty of developers working to create better, forked versions of bitcoin, I’m betting my chips on a more flexible alternative.

2017 is bitcoin's year so do as 2018. Yes ethereum and other cryptocurrency are on the rise right now but we cannot change the fact that bitcoin is still on top and still reliable in every trading exchanges.
To be fair 2017 was not only bitcoin's but it was crypto year too, seems it continues like that currently but that doesn't means it will be like that this year. So much pump isn't good, especially if it will continue this year, it will only make situation worse. Imagine something that had 600$ value, become 19000, will you have hope that it will rise so much that it can give you a solid profit? I guess most people will say no. So if it fall to 6000$, this will be better and regulate some current unexpected conditions.
I'm afraid I got to disagree with the statement that 2017 was the year of Bitcoin. It was the year of crypto in general and many cryptos outperformed bitcoin during the year. And I believe the same will happen in 2018.
The capitania ship has been bitcoin since the beginning of this crusade financial era! Then, with the dawn of this virtual challenge, many and many others coins woke, wake and will wake up more and more in theirs own leveled cradles, evoluting or not in function of these capacities and habilities of being true, sincerous and trustable attractive.

I believe, alt-coins will rise up, the market cap will reach $3-5 trillion en of the 2018, which makes me think that alt-coins will fly by 2018.
It is always a difficult task to foresee these hypothetical scenarios because we do not know the big surprises that may emerge this year. For example, a year ago nobody imagined the great success that in 2017 would have altcoin as raiblock, Tron, cardano, verge or Iota, for which I want to leave a margin for uncertainty, because we must remember that Hashgraph is around the corner and there are many expectations about it.
It's the year of the alt maybe, but still bitcoin will keep its place, im also surprise how Tron gained popularity now, as well as the newbie alts last year that are getting high this month.

The only thing that i expect for the next year is just to see bitcoin more stable than during this year, to see it with lower fees, with transactions much more faster than what they are right now.. and of course, the lightning network.
The development of bitcoin through its system and value is continuous. I think it is a good thing to always support bitcoin in every way specially in dealing with transactions. Because through this we could support the bitcoin and make that its system will develop and have a good changes in the future so we could have a better form of transaction and development in the future. 
Predictions for 2018 will be a very potential year for investing in the ICO, as there are many ICO that aim to revolutionize cryptocurrency, in particular, ArcBlock and INS. These 2 ICO are currently hottest in the early part of 2018, so if you have a chance, buy the Token as much as possible, because when it indexes, it will be x10 on the exchange rate.
2018 is expected to be a boom year for altcoin as well as potential ICO, so you should consider investing in altcoin, especially ICO because of its huge profit margin. The crypto can refer to it as Ethereum, Ripple, Dash, Monero, etc because that is the crypto I think will be very potent in 2018, if you have money just invest in these cryptos 500 dollars per crypto Then go to the cold wallet and take off, sure next year will be x10 value compared to the current time.

Just like bitcoin altcoins will really rise but will not lead and cannot lead bitcoin , bitcoin will remain number one no matter what and how altcoins will go so far based on the experts prediction and with the market cap, just hoping that this year 2018 many countries will widely use bitcoin as part of their market.

Since bitcoin is being dominant through the years, there is no reason i will give my vote to any other crypto than Bitcoin. We can say that altcoins will rise and have a good run this year too but at the end of the day, bitcoin's dominance remains.
In my opinion, Bitcoin in 2018 will definitely grow more than 2017, because over the years we have found more experience in investing in Bitcoin, this year there will definitely be many countries that allow Bitcoin to operate.
This what I'm thinking but even this year will be the same movement as bitcoin moved on 2017. It's still a good price difference if bitcoin will keep on moving just like last year. And as bitcoin is getting more popular and it's been published to different websites and it's getting a lot of interest at social media and each country is reporting it to their mainstream media so for sure it will grow. 
I think 2018 will be the year that:
- governments launch their own cryptos.
- Crypto to fiat will be wayyy easier.
- Lots and lots of blockchain apps.
- Ripple will take bitcoin place in the first half of the year, but bitcoin will claim back it's spot

Your prediction about ripple is very doubtful, just look at what it happened ripple has lost a lot of money in the last few days and now is back in the third place, the rest of your predictions seem to be about right, let just hope that the price of bitcoin keeps growing since that is always healthy for the market and not only for bitcoin. - governments launch their own cryptos.

Well i believe that the year 2018 will really surpass the record of btc on year 2017 because we can feel that the bitcoin today is really rising and many people having an interest of buying and holding bitcoin in preparation of the near future that is why bitcoin today is really getting more amzing and popular arround the glbe it is now really getting trend because of many advantages .
