yes 2017 was the best year for bitcoin. after the halving by mid 2016. bitcoin will have a high price. growing markets and transactions will be more extensive.
In my opinion on 2017 we will have more stable bitcoin prices, now with the halving we will have increase before and a low pump after, traders will move the prices on pre and post halving days.
I do not think for stable bitcoin prices in 2017 itself. As per my predictions there will be only lesser chances even for temporary (short term) stable prices. As, we can expect the halving will make more people turn into new bitcoin investors by showing them some very big prices of bitcoin.There was a period of stability the last couple of months, but the nature of bitcoin as an asset is that it is volatile, only when the main reason to hold bitcoin is for transactions (payment transctoins) only then we will see some real stability. This is at least a few years away.

In 2016 halving makes the present year effective, we'll see a big price and this gives a gradual increase in price on 2017. So only if 2016 doesn't look to be effective 2017 might get small probability of being the year of bitcoin.
2017 will be the year that we can really see what 2016 halving will bring.
Result are not that instant so the halving output can't truly seen at 100% in 2016 alone.
But prior to that, let's see if 2016 halving will really bring the price even at small percentage before the year ends.

Yes it might be redundant to say that it's gonna be the year of the bitcoin every year but we could only contain so much of our hopes and excitement for it each year

Yeah that year will be a great year for the technology of bitcoin and its users, bitcoin will already have achieved a good success in the year of 2016, so in the next year everyone will prefer bitcoin and it will flourish in that year.
Yup Even I believe also that bitcoins will rise its value in 2017. It will become more stable with the support of massive adoption from different industries, I hope that time the online stores industry will have a massive adoption so we can choose a good merchant. Right now the gambling industry is very well adopting and I believe it will multiply by year 2017.

Shaping up as big year
Some people sad the same about 2016 when it was 2015 so I am not believing these things anymore. Maybe it is going to be the year of the Bitcoin but we are never going to now that unless we are there. 
This year we are going to reach $700 price, i don't really know will this price be stable for two seasons, i think that after halving price will start slowly decreasing.
I think it will not decrease but it will be stable on the last price right alter the halving, and for sure its going to be high compared to current market price.

Maybe 2017 is the year of the bitcoin. Because in 2016, now the price of bitcoin is really increase so high since 3 days ago, 2016 will be the beginning of the bitcoin and 2017 will be the year of bitcoin.

I wanna ride with your prediction as I can see now that the value of bitcoins is substantially increasing, with this continue to increase we can expect a good future price and in year 2017 after the halving the price would stable at $1,000.00.If price reaches to $700 at the halving then $1k is possible to achieve at the end of the year, and if it reaches there then majority of users will be much satisfied.
