unless we all start making a combined effort to bring btc to the masses
BTC is still a huge gamble
i know many on this forum dont really hold too much (on average)
but everyone comments about the day BTC will make them rich, while they sit back and do nothing
this type of attitude towards BTC is really bad
If we want to see the price of BTC rise steadily
we all need to make a daily effort to make people aware of bitcoin
without excuses like "nobody where i live know about bitcoin"
we need to introduce bitcoin to people
and also avoid explaining bitcoin as just an "it will make you rich" investment
as this scares the average person away very quickly
One good point to bring up, is with banks moving to cashless societies
bitcoin will eventually be the new cash, in that it will be currency not controlled by banks
(when all currencies will be digital)

It is impossible to know how 2017n is going to be for Bitcoin. I have heard before that people said yeah 2016 is going to be the year of the Bitcoin but I have seen any sign of that yet.
We have to be in 2017 before we can talk about that.

At this point of time we haven't seen any good news related to bitcoin, may be halving can bring some excitement for us, but not sure what will be the scenario in 2017.

halving will bring some increase in price like we all hope some little some huge
im hopping for same scenario like in 2013 that would be great not just for me but for all of us here
Halving is always after 4 years and this is the year of halving, and if we see higher price after halving then that higher price will be followed by next year too.
2012 halving really bring up the price to the following year but it only last for a year then price wents down to a 6 months range of $200+ in 2015 until spikes came up to $300 to $500.
Hopefully the upcoming halving will last it's effect in 4 years rather than the previous one which only last for couple of years.
2017 can be it's year as there is so much to keep the steam engine going. Full steam ahead!

Yeah, I do believe that it will rise and go fly to the moon on 2017 and let's see its way going to the top

In one year bitcoin can really reach good price, around 800$ for 1btc. Maybe even more if after halving we will get good price. So 2017 can be year of bitcoin for sure.
I hope you are right, so we can all be rich here. I have already save a considerable amount of BTC and I am hoping in the future I can give this to my children when I get old.
