It is a silly decision, as the value is high and going to increase more because people are holfding their coins and are not selling so people are buying at higher price but if everyone started to sell their coins then in competition of first to sell everyone will dump a little bit their coins and will lose the value of their coins.

Yes if you are going to buy bitcoin today the price is really high. And for sure it will become higher for the year of 2017.
Even though the halving is going to happen this year.
But the effect of it will surely take effect for the year of 2017. And with the price increase happens today it is now really going to be the year of bitcoin.
