2018 will be an interesting year. I think there will be less creation of altcoys, create restrictions on the part of some states, the crypto currency will be released to world exchanges. But in any case in the field of crypto currency will be a strong change.
In year 2018 there will be more improvements, the price of bitcoin possibly may hit to $50k. Crypto predictions like bitcoin will continue to increase also, but some altcoins cannot survive its existence. About ethereum I have high hopes on this so let's see what will happen and the price may reach on eth.
The upcoming year 2018 is expected to be a great year for the entire cryptocurrency. In specific it's been predicted that the ethereum network will grow bigger in value. At present it looks like bitcoin will grow much bigger than that of the predictions. Same time the complications too seems increasing because of the uncertainty.
Given the year that 2017 has been, what are your predictions for 2018 for cryptos? will Bitcoin continue to rise? I think governments will be involved more in cryptos in 2018, more regulation maybe?
The nearest target for bitcoin is 17 thousand dollars. 
anything can happen in the world of Crypto, bitcoin cost about $ 15K and maybe it will be $ 50K in 1 year, but sometimes there is 1 obstacle where bitcoin is not accepted in any government and hopefully the future bitcoin can be accepted in government

I want to believe those predictions that say that bitcoin will reach $ 100,000 in 2018. But my brain refuses to believe it(( Maybe bitcoin will reach $ 50,000 at the end of 2018. The ЕТН will cost $ 2,500

i think we might have one emerging crypto in 2018 that will seek to dominate the top stop.
I think BTC will hit $50k minimum because we will see people start pricing in the next halving into the price, and probably we will see more government intervention in the space, because they are already surprise at the success of the space, I also expect some big projects to fail. I also predict we will see a new project that will likely give BTC a fight for that number on spot

Agree with 50K...and I expect maybe even more. What do You mean by "ground breaking announcement by governments" ? If you mean national crypto currencies I agree but in 2018 I expect some form of taxes on crypto because of failing fiat money. I also expecting Insane jump in prices of Gold and Silver in 2018.
yes i mean we are likely to witness more governments launch their own cryptos-Asia, Africa perhaps. Also governments are likely to continue to seek ways to regulate cryptos, especially with the current debate of tokens as security.
2018 is going to be THE year for cryptocurrencies. These past couple months are only the beginning of the massive adoption that is going to come next year. A bunch of products will release their DAPPS and we'll start seeing scaling solutions in action. I'm personally very excited for what's to come next year!

Agree with you, BTC cross $10K as people's expectation (and still rising) is maybe the way it convincing the world (including every nation's government) that it has to be considered. BTC, this teenager, I think it will move on the mixed market price in 2018. Government involvement will make it up and down. So sideways market maybe in 2018. And another ALT coin will not missed the chances to rise every single main coin's correction. And so does BTC investors whose will not let every single dump moment passed and buy low and lower.

I think governments are currently involved and they are investing so much money into bitcoin because if you look at the bitcoin market capitalization it to big for ordinary individuals.

I would love seeing ETH pump a bit, because compared to BTC, which is the only coin that medias know, ETH as practical purposes, and real interest in term of functionnalities, and I hope it will rewarded for its purpose. Blockchain is the future, it's time to have real coin taking the lead, and not just an currency...
