That is really a good news to hear that it was just a sprained injury and nothing more serious.

And then we have this noise that Marcus Smart was a dirty player on what he did against Steph and then the kick on Klay Thompson. Steve Kerr is very vocal about it and there was a talk between the two during the game and you can see Smart' shaking his head as if saying that he didn't do it intentionally on Steph.

That is correct, it's not that Steph Curry has a bad game, he suffered a bad injury that will sideline him indefinitely and it's a bad news for the Warriors are they are trying to maintain that second spot in the West. But with that lost, the Memphis is not a full game ahead of them in the 2nd spot. But they are going to make the playoffs so that's good news and hopefully Steph will be available by that time.

It's just the bad time to be injured but not totally worse since it's not really in the playoff games where they are against a team where they already lost two straight games. I'm sure he will gonna be better once they put him back in the court the only question is in that indefinite time of his absence. Let's just hope that it wasn't that serious and we can still see him with Klay competing in the Playoff like they used to.

No timetable yet on his return as per the latest update.

Stephen Curry injury update: Warriors star out indefinitely with sprained ligament in left foot

Quote
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is out indefinitely with a sprained ligament in his left foot, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. X-rays after the Warriors' game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday reportedly did not reveal any fractures or significant structural damage. Curry will see specialists, and there is optimism that he will be available when the playoffs begin, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne.

Late in the second quarter at Chase Center, Marcus Smart collided with Curry as the Celtics guard dove on the floor for a loose ball. Curry had to check out of the game and did not return.

Let's just hope that nothing is serious here and that he can come back when he is needed most, and that is in the playoffs.
Warriors are already secured a playoff spot, so they just have to maintain that.

Yup, there's nothing to worry about him as his condition is not that serious or something that requires more than 6 weeks off because if something serious will happen then the GSW is definitely impaired as one of their best shooter is on out for more than a month.

Quote
After undergoing the usual MRI and X-Ray tests, the good news for the Warriors is that there is no bone damage to Curry but he has been diagnosed with a sprained ligament in left foot, which has him out indefinitely.
Link

The good thing is that Steph will just need to rest for a bit as he really also needs it even without injury and after that he'll be able to play once the playoffs commence, but there's no definite date yet.

Stephen Curry didn't have a good game and stayed at only three points last night. He didn't play too much and also maybe he was rested in this game I don't know.
Did you only look at the score? He wasn't rested. He was injured in the first half after he and Marcus Smart went for a loose ball.

Steph Curry will be out indefinitely after that left foot injury but some speculate that he could be back next month.

Lol Grin Clearly he didn't watched the game or even bothered to watch the full game highlights that's why he didn't knew that Steph Curry was injured and only looked at the score after the game. Anyways, after the incident Steve Kerr was really upset against Marcus Smart because he thought that he played dangerously but then he relaxed after they saw what happened in replay and Marcus clearly don't want that to happen either.

Here's the update about Stephen Curry:
Quote
According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski, inside the Golden State organization, the realistic hope for the home team in San Francisco is that the player who has made the most three-pointers in NBA history will return for the start of the playoffs.

Playoffs would be boring if the stars will not play.

We need to see Curry and Chris Paul in their uniform in the playoffs because that makes the playoffs more exciting and we will see a deserving team to win the playoffs. On the news that I read regarding their injury, it didn't say that they'll be out in the season, so we have to be optimistic that they will return soon.
Yes, so true. Also, that takes out the bad reasoning being done by the fans of each team. Like "Phoenix Suns lose because there is no CP3." I don't like to hear that. So it would be better if all of them will be healthy although that is impossible with how they play at full force during the playoffs.
Something bad will always happen, either a punch to the face, an elbow, or a foot being left at where the shooter will land.
I still want to see them play at that time to avoid those kinds of reasons by the bandwagons and it's more entertaining to see them silenced and bleeding to find the cause of their respective team's defeat.  Grin
That happened last season, lots of excuses from the losing teams from the fans' perspective, I still remember the excuses last season.

1-Lakers loss due to Davis injury.
2- Clippers loss due to Leonard's injury
3-Nets loss due to Irving's injury
4- Atlanta loss due to Trae Young's injury
5- Nuggets loss due to Murray's injury.

==

6- Sixers loss due to Simmon's low basketball IQ,... kidding.  Smiley

Blame that on Marcus smart, LOL.

The injury seemed no so serious as Curry was able to walk by himself to the locker room, for sure he will come back soon, maybe even before the playoffs. Warriors already sitting in comfortable ranking, so no pressure on Curry to force the return.
I don't think that we should blame him because even Green himself said in an interview that “I can't call it a dirty play". He said on that interview that it is "unnecessary" but nevertheless, Curry getting injured where playoffs is near is really a bad news. Now the Suns and the Warriors have an injured all-star player.

GSW management expect Curry to be back on Playoffs so I think this will be fine as he can still recover at that timeline since he will set out at their remaining games. If Curry will totally miss this and came back late on playoffs then most provably his team will struggle and this is another unfortunate thing will happen again on their team this season. Hopefully we can see those stars back in action since they are the main flavor on playoffs.

They know better because they are monitoring the condition of Curry, if they expect he will be back soon, that means it is what is likely to happen. Curry is the main man of the team, without him this GSW success that they build this season will turn to nothing, for sure they won't allow that to happen.

There’s no fracture o major damage base on his x-ray report so he will be fine with just a few weeks of rest. Sprain typically go away within a week with just a sedatives and therapy for fast recovery. I thought he will have a major injury base on the footage since he is very fragile when it comes to leg injury. GSW will really  lose there momentum on playoffs if Curry will be out for the whole time period, Klay thompson is still adjusting while the rest of the team is still new and very hard for them to step up and play curry role as leader.

If hope is no longer with Kyrie, better to bring Curry and Simmons to help Durant.

Durant and other Nets players shouldn't rely on Simmons' help. There are rumors that Ben hopes to play only a couple of games in this regular season, although I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play at all. Even if Ben decides to return during the playoffs, it will be pointless because he won't have time to adapt after such a long break.

I'm with you on that opinion mate, I will highly discourage the idea of relying on Simmons if I were in that team or in the management. Instead, they should just focus and work more on their present active roster because that would be more reasonable. Ben Simmons are full of rumors since he did some nonsense to his former team and that kind of image will remain.

I reckon Simmons still haven't able to practice or do some shootouts with the rest of the team and that's an another reason why he is unreliable, his presence is still a mystery to the team as they still did not know if he could really fit into their system.

Anyway, seeing some articles that he might come back before the playoffs is a big relief for me as a Warrior fan. I would like to see the old big 3 of the Warriors in Curry, Thompson and Green play together.

That's not impossible as it was not stated in the news that he will also miss the playoffs.

Curry, Thompson and Green are the original big 3 of the Warriors, they will be fun to watch in the playoffs for sure. .

I'm checking the odds for NBA futures now, particularly on the 2022 NBA FINALS ODDS.
https://www.vegasinsider.com/nba/odds/futures/

Warriors odds seemed to be very attractive, at +650, it's a good grab IMO.

Seeing the remaining 12 games of the Warriors, there will be 4 games where they are against the top teams like Memphis, Miami, Phoenix and Utah and with all of their remaining schedule, only 4 games will be played in their home and the rest will be on the road.

Losing Curry because of an injury is a big loss for the team but we have seen that all of them can score and shoot. You still have Thompson, Poole, Kuminga, Wiggins and other supporting players that can fill the role of Curry as a scorer. This isn't the same squad as few years ago where most of the offense of the team will be focusing on their star players. Now anybody can step up in every game and score 20 or 30 points. Anyway, seeing some articles that he might come back before the playoffs is a big relief for me as a Warrior fan. I watched a great game. Nets stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving made league history in the Nets-Magic match. The Nets stars became the first teammates to score over 50 points in consecutive matches. I think the duo will continue their outstanding performance in other matches as well.

But you have to see that Kyrie is not going to play a game in their homecourt because of his anti-vaxx stance. So they won't play together in the games left in the regular games and as far I can remember there are only 3 games left for Kyrie to play. It was really down to wire finished against the Mavs though, it seems that Spencer now is a perfect fit or complement to Luka, and Brunson too playing very well, but he will be a free agent and for sure Mavs may want him to stay.

He had a lot of problems because of the opposition to vaccination, I wish he didn't have such a thought. We've seen a lot of negative news, both with teammates and with the media.
Too bad he's only going to play 3 more games, the Nets really need this player. He won't be able to help the team in the games they need the most, I hope they can win the rest of the games

That's his decision though, and the Nets have accepted it up to now. But we don't know what will the future bring for them, if he will have to be traded or not because he is being paid to help the team but currently there is none except for games that he can play and then can't be like this till next season. Durant need someone to back him up specially if they wanted to bring a championship to the Nets franchise.

The Nets have only accepted Irving's decision about getting vaccinated because they have no other options about that as well, having Irving on their side even if he is only playing road games is already enough for them because Irving is really a valuable player. On the same matter, Irving cannot also help them while they are playing in home and that's the time that the Nets is mostly vulnerable as KD needs someone who can be reliable like Irving's caliber or his caliber.

There's no latest update yet regarding his injury, hopefully, it's not serious that he has to be out for awhile or will require a surgery.
They can't ruin this opportunity, they are now playing healthy with KT back in the lineup, so I would say they have a huge chance to return in the NBA Finals again.

If Curry will totally miss this and came back late on playoffs then most provably his team will struggle and this is another unfortunate thing will happen again on their team this season. Hopefully we can see those stars back in action since they are the main flavor on playoffs.
They will struggle for sure, Klay Thompson and the rest of the players can't win, at least that's my own perspective only.

It could all change as the Mavericks with Luka and Dinwiddie are pushing for more wins. Tied with the Jazz at 43 wins while the Warriors at 47. It's not that far with 13 games left for the Mavs.
But there is good news despite the sudden injury of Steph. Draymond is there and so is Klay. Wiggins might also be back soon after being ill.
There is also Wiseman who had been recalled from the G-League, he is playing 20 minutes per game there. GSW is not a one-man team, strength in numbers.
