Westbrook? Nahh he is doing Westbrook things as always. 13 points 2 rebounds and 2 assists. It seems like Lebron is doing what he did on Cleveland where he carried his team the whole way but this time, he can't do it anymore since most of his teammates are either old and cannot defend or... the morale isn't there anymore. On the other hand though, I think that the Lakers can still go to playoffs if the roster is complete with AD. We don't know but AD might boost the morale of the team when he comes back. Just hoping that if he comes back "again", he will not get injured until the end of this season.
And.. he is also old to do that. At Cleveland, he was at his prime. He can consistently carry JR Smith's errors and be able to win the game.
He is not that same Lebron anymore. He has good days with 50+ points but that won't happen every game as his bones are starting to crack.  Grin
You are right, if they will succeed in the play-in tournament, they would still need to face the Suns in the first round and I would not be surprised if they'll be sweep. Davis is still not playing and once he comes back, there's no assurance that he would still say long in the playoffs, so it's really a big problem for the Lakers staying in the competition especially against a much improve team this season.
Even if, but I doubt they will. Other teams are playing harder than them to avoid the play-in. But because of the lack of star players, they will try to just squeeze themselves to make it at the playoffs which means they won't give the Lakers a smooth road.

That was an ugly game from the Lakers. You won't even see any efforts to defend and Booker just keeps on shooting with no one around him.

On the first quarter alone, Booker is shooting the lights out and no one is defending him. I said to myself that the game is over in the first quarter alone.

It's a one sided victory without even a little resistance, not entertaining at all.  Cheesy
You can also see on Lebron's face how frustrated he is. I think he realized now that he cannot do it all for the team. Missing the playoffs will be their better choice and start again next year or he could exhaust himself until the last drop of his sweat.

Reset will be the better word, Lebron has to accept the fact that the team is in disarray. It was just pure hype with Melo, Westbrook and him. I guess it will be a different Lakers again next season. And it seems the players they have traded for this will have the last laugh.

Lol, what I think was this game is over even before it started. I knew this would be another blow out for the Suns even without CP3. The Lakers are done this season. There is no more hope left for them. There's no sense in making the play in tournament as well, they'll just going to end up a first round exit again If they came out victorious from the play-in.
They just can't beat the Suns, they didn't even get a W since the 2021 playoffs lol.

Ya, the Suns gave them a shalacking.  The real star of the game to me was Ayton.  He put up 23 points on 11-14 shooting and got 16 rebounds.  He owned the paint.  The Lakers you would think would then put in Dwight Howard to stop him...  Not our guy Vogel though.  He plays Dwight 16 minutes and lets them get blown out by 29 points.  LeBron got his 31 on an average night for him.  Westbrook was even decent and Carmelo came through like he has all year.  They just lacked play from a big man to counter Ayton.  I have no idea what the Lakers are thinking, but at this point they all have to be worried about whether or not they'll be seeing postseason play.

I also saw a short video on Youtube regarding Lebron getting exhausted as well and at the same frustrated like you said because of how they are playing this game and possible this season.

That's the only hope they left. Bringing a healthy Davis will give them another man who also has a pride.

I mean, with whom LeBron is playing alongside by now; they are just there to play, not sure if it's a real game for them
or a practice game that is okay, whatever the result.

Kidding, but the way we witness them playing, no pressure, just finish the time clock, win or lose it's over.

That’s a sucks performance for them since Lebron center is not working anymore if he is the only too that scoring and defending. The result is pretty obvious that Lakers has no defense at which leads Phoenix to score a massive 140 points in the game. Its like an NBA Allstar game which they let players freely shoot in an open space. I was itching to bet on Lakers +20 on the half time break but some itching sensation in my testicles telling me not too which I decided to forfeit betting today.  Grin

Looks like the Brooklyn Nets are back on the track, if they can continue winning like this they can climb up to the number 6 team in the Playoff tree which means they don't need to play the crazy Play-In Tournament doesn't really make sense at all. This kind of Durant is what the Nets need because they were thrown close to the garbage since he was injured and they are slowly gaining momentum.

LeBron James is listed as questionable due to left knee soreness/effusion. That's a big handicap for the Lakers.

Let's see if there's something surprising that other Lakers players will do if LeBron won't play.

LeBron James is playing tonight. However, it looks like the Lakers have no chance of winning this match at all because the Suns scored 48 points in the first quarter. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that LeBron will be able to defeat the Suns alone even if he tries to score another 50 points.

The Lakers usually do pretty well against the Suns but the way they've been playing lately I think the Suns have a pretty good shot.

I think LeBron will try to go big on the scoreboard again tonight to keep his massive scoring streak alive as he seemingly attempt to win himself a scoring title.

The Lakers never managed yet to defeat Phoenix Suns in all of their meetings this season. Those 2 wins by the Suns against the Lakers are both in the double-digit lead. And as you have mentioned, with the inconsistent Lakers lately, a possible 3-0 win for the Suns might be recorded.

Among the games tonight, Suns - Lakers game is the most attention getting one to me. Suns are the absolute favourite team to win this game. And they are one of the best teams in home games also. And Lakers are one of the worsts in away games. Lakers are still an unreliable team too. They are still depending on Lebron highly and this is making things harder for them. Suns are definitely a complete team right now and I have not much doubt about that they will win this game too. Lakers wouldn't resist them too much.
Sun 1.22
Lakers 4.5

I fancy a Suns win by double digits but handicap odds at -9.5 or -8.5 are also good.

Suns is without CP3 and Lakers will be without AD while Lebron is questionable for this game. More than 50% chance they will lpse if either of them are out.

Suns always going to have a blowout win against the Lakers, so yeah Suns are more likely going to cover -9.5.
Suns are still capable of winning double digits against the Lakers even with LeBron and CP3 is out.
LeBron might've overstressed his knee for doing everything to win last night. So, it is most probably he'll be out today, just like the other day when he scored 56 against the Warriors.

Yeah this is a good time to go in on the Suns.  I don't know if I like them at 9.5 though.  A little moneyline play should be pretty safe.  Shame AD has never really been healthy this year dudes a monster when he is

Maybe he is just showing off one side of his basketball skills? He is not known to be a playmaker, of course he is more of a shooter, but with Klay taking the shots outside, maybe Steph just think of becoming the point guard in this game. For sure if this is a close one, the complexion will be very different as he needs to score and help Klay. Let's watch Draymond next game, they need his presence in the middle and the energy he can bring to the team.
It wasn't really mainly about him getting his playmaking out, it was more about getting out of the way for Klay, there is a difference between the two. One of them means that you are going to end up with a great teammate and just not do anything to block him and just let him be, on the other one you are one of the reasons why your teammate is great. Stockton didn't just let Malone score, he helped him score. Step just got out of the way for Klay, not help him out.

It wasn't a "bad" game by step neither by the way, I mean sure he didn't do much, but he did what he was suppose to do in this game, if you would help your team by not shooting much, then you stop shooting and let others do that (something westbrook needs to learn).

This is just the 2nd time this season Steph Curry ended up in a single digit in points. The last time was against the Miami Heat on January 3.
1/3/2022 - 9 points, 10 assists, 3 rebounds.
3/13/2022 - 8 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds - Today.
But he didn't shoot much so that's okay. 3/7 FG 2/4 3pt
He didn't force it and just became the playmaker or used his threat to give his teammates an open space. That's unselfish of him and the Warriors are lucky he would sacrifice his stats for the win.

Yes and that was really unusual to see him like that. On that 9 points production last January 3, he attempted 17 shots on which only 3 was made. Different on that tonight's performance where even he only made 8 points, he's not attempting too much shot. Maybe he feels his stroke is not good that night but still he tried his best. Instead of forcing his way to find his rhythm, he provide a support instead on his teammates.

And it's also worth noting that the Warriors always in a lead the whole game making it for Curry to just play relax*** and smoothly so maybe that's one of the reason he not force himself on doing lots of field goal attempts than he used to be.

Cleveland Cavaliers are not doing so good these days. Lost 8 out of the last 11 games. They seem to be struggling a lot on the offense. When the threes just won't go in, they are helpless and cannot get a win. Happened again last night against Chicago Bulls. Bulls were of course very good also and especially on the defence they did quite good, but Cavs were just also so bad. 20% three pointers percentage against a big team like Chicago, in this day and age of NBA, you will probably not going to get the W. I am not optimistic about their playoff this year, they need something big on the offensive side.
