At a night which Anthony Edwards,Gobert and Towns had foul problems it was really a very big surprise for me that Dallas lost home. I think that the winner of this matchup is going to be the NBA champions. I was a little lucky last night. I made a bet on Towns and he managed to make my bet win by playing great in offense despite having foul problems. Smiley (25 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist)

I thought that he wouldn't be able to make such contributions but then, he pumped out and showed who the real KAT on that game.

Congratulations to them and to you too.

This loss is definitely a TERRIBLE news for Dallas. Not that they are going to lose, I honestly believe that Dallas will win and go to finals anyway, but the fact is that if it was like one win for Dallas one for Wolves and it went to like seven series then it's just a good matchup.
It's not yet a terrible thing for Dallas. If this prolongs and goes to 7, they'd see it when the next match they will have is going to be another win for the Wolves.

But, this was already 3-0, and unlucky for Dallas that Boston already swept Pacers, and that means Dallas going to meet up against a very well rested Boston when the time comes. So next game Dallas has to win, there is no argument to be made about anything otherwise, if they lose this one too then they are going to be super tired against Boston, but if they win then they could just go home and rest a bit and at least they would not have fatigue when they are playing.

A day with no basketball. A reminder that we are nearing the end of the season and will soon be months without a game. Good thing the drama already seems to be starting surrounding LeBron James. Jimmy Butler is another prospect for some offseason movement. Hopefully we get some good storylines going into next year.
It's a good thing that the Mavs vs. Wolves series was extended; otherwise, we would have to wait until June 6 for the NBA Finals. One day off is better than multiple days off.

There's a rumor that LeBron wants to play with his son, which is why he might leave the Lakers. But let's see first if Bronny will be able to get drafted into the NBA. I thought his stats were not good, but recently his name has been hyped because he has had some great games in drills that he participated in. If LeBron and Bronny play together, would it be the first time in NBA history?

Finally, the Wolves managed to win. They had fewer field goal attempts but made more than the Mavs. However, they need to improve their free throws; they are really bad at it. They only managed to make 16 out of 25. Although they have managed to extend the series, they still need to win three in a row to reach their first NBA Finals. That's kind of hard to do against the Mavs unless they show what they did in the first and second rounds of the playoffs. Then, they do have a chance, but currently, I'm not very optimistic.
Still to far from the reality of beating the Mavs. As what was showed in the screen when I watch the game, there are only 4 teams in the history of NBA that went to game 7 from 0-3 deficit, but of course, no team had succeeded to win yet, but let's see if they'll make a history, they just need to win one game at a time.

The loss of Lively was really huge, but it was a close game actually until KAT can't miss on the outside, if he play like that in game 5, then there's a likelihood that the series will be extended in 6 or even in 7.
It's just a matter of time in the like of Towns being a good shooter to finally found his touch and his rhythm in this game. And he could be reading all the criticism that he got from this series, specially in game 3 wherein he didn't hit any threes. Same with Edwards as well, they seems to be carrying the game until in the last minutes where the Mavs took over. But not in this game though, both of them shot very well and there are no crucial turnover and they didn't choke. But still a long way to go for them to pull the impossible to comeback from a 0-3 deficit and win the series.

That's the good description both KAT and ANT didn't choke for this game, we witnessed their adjustments and finally they both managed to bring something and carry the loads to win this game, they avoided being swept but still a long way to go, one game at a time to make it close in these series they need everything to avoid taking that early vacation and failed to move forward for the finals, let see if what adjustments they'll going to made on their next game.

I was expecting Dallas to finish the series last night, but it didn't happen, the series is now 3-1.
Minnesota played well last night and won, Dallas was bad and lost, they didn't play as I expected.
The next game will be played in Minnesota, Minnesota can win the game with the support of the fans, but I hope this does not happen.

A little crazy that Anthony Edwards still thinks that Minnesota is going to win while they’re on the verge of being swept, but I like the confidence. Hopefully they can win at least one game to avoid embarrassment, but at this point I think we’re all ready to call the Finals between Dallas and Boston. Should be a good series.

And he did, as he lead the Minnesota team to win in game 4 at Dallas arena and prevent a sweep, meaning they are alive and now the game shifts to their homecourt as they have the momentum and so I wouldn't be surprised if it will go 3-2.

No teams in the history of the NBA has comeback from 0-3 and win, so still not looking good for the Wolves. But for fans, we will love to see another game 7, and so we do hope that there will be one in the Western conference. The Mavs though could be really disappointed that they didn't finished the Wolves and give them some semblance of a chance.

They'll have to go through the needle's hole to get their, but it's not impossible though. The win probably gave them the confidence necessary to win another game, and since game 5 will be back on their home court, I think they'll be so eager to play well to get another win. It's hard to beat the history, as although the Wolves were the better team from the start, it's still hard to trust that they can make it.

Who knows right? Timberwolves would be the first team would create a history that surpass a 3-0 deficit. If they can do that this will be huge for their organization and can able to give them good recognition. Although this is really hard to do since there's a lot of games needed to be done before this would provably happen and Mavs just need only one game to eliminate them.

What bad thing about Wolves win is Mavs resting time became more lesser and lesser so if Wolves will win again on game 5 then this maybe can bring a big problem with them since there's a chance for them to bounce back. But if Wolves Loss then they would face a well rested Celtics and that could affect their overall performance knowing that Luka got a  lot of injuries and their key guys are also injured.

He was on the bench, I think he is fine though, he was just given the necessary rest and expect his availability in game 5 as they can't allow to make this series 3-2, that's already too risky for them.

I’m glad that we get to see more basketball. I love watching Anthony Edwards play so even though they are doomed it is nice to see another game. The Boston Celtics are no doubt happy to see this series continue too. Especially with how rough it is getting as they get to sit back and get some rest in before the start of the finals.

We've seen great players when their backs is against the wall, they responded with big games and so we have seen it from ANT, who scored 29 points and then KAT with a big 25 points. So at least they keep their hopes alive and doesn't want to be swept by the Mavs. And this sums up everything for the Mavs,

Quote
“This one hurts. We were expecting to be happy at the end of the game.

Now we’re pissed off.”
- Gafford

So let's give the Wolves at least a fighting chance in the next game. For sure this is going to be massive and fans showing up in their support for the Wolves to force this series a big longer.

There's nothing more to lose on the Wolves so they're giving it all. The primary mission was to avoid getting swept. And so they did it. I was still thinking that Dallas will once again overpower Minnesota in the dying minutes of the fourth quarter but the Wolves held on. KAT burying that huge three and Edwards' jump shot sealed the game. Dallas did a late scare but luck was also not on their side. Luka had a bad night in terms of his FG. And once again, Dallas losses every time Luka shoots below 40%.

And the Minnesota Timberwolves still survived it.

Great defense + aggressive attack of KAT and Antman is the recipe for their win. Foul trouble became a big problem for them and I thought they were going to lose it because of that. But Gobert did well in the last minutes of the game after receiving his 5th foul. So many stupid fouls that they made, KAT and him but they somehow managed to get the win tonight.

I will agree with Draymond Green in the inside the NBA discussion, it's Kyle Anderson who was doing the small things that are not listed in the stat sheet that helped them out. Screens, the right positions, and defending Luka Doncic. They need that and it was a successful one. Luka is 7/21 in the field and I think he did a great job against him.

We are going back to Minnesota for Game 5.

Yes, they are back at least for Game 5 at their homecourt and still survived this series and gotten their first win in the West finals after more than 20 years. KAT is very aggressive in this game, and although he hasn't shot well in the series, when he hit his first 3 point shot, you know that he will go back and look for more. One drawback is that they are in foul trouble.

Nevertheless, they force the Mavs to a lot of easy shots, great defense by Rudy inside. And surely, they missed the services of Lively in this game.

Now the Wolves are the favorite at 1.5x.

Well, that's why he's the captain of the Timberwolves. He has that kind of mindset where being down 0-3 will not affect him mentally. Waving the white flag even though the series isn't over yet is not a good trait of a leader. He needs to be mentally fine because he's considered "the leader of the pack".

It's good that he has that kind of mindset even though they are down 0-3, and just a few hours ago, they won in Game 4 against the Mavericks and forced a Game 5 in their home. Like many are saying, it's not over yet until it's not over yet

Tonight could be the last game for the Dallas Mavericks. If they win, they will make the series 4-0 and become the champions of the West.
If they win tonight, they will play in the finals with the Boston Celtics.
My opinion is that they will win tonight and play in the final.
If they make it to the finals, I want Dallas to win.
Unfortunately, they can't close it out on their own home because the Timberwolves won in Game 4 on the road against the Mavericks 105-100.

Again, it's a close one and it's good that the Timberwolves forced a Game 5 on their home and prevented being swept like what happened to the Pacers. Their 5 starters scored double-digits as they are doing the "distributed offense" yet again. On the other hand, Luka scored 28 points which is his usual score, but Irving only scored 16 points. This is a crucial part for the Mavericks if they want to win the title, they need both and Luka and Kyrie to lead the offense.

Anyway, congratulations to the Wolves for winning the game and extending the series.

~
We are going back to Minnesota for Game 5.
And because we will be going back to Minnesota in Game 5, I expect them to win there as well, and the Mavericks will end it on Game 6. If not, the Mavericks are doomed. They will be remembered as the team who blew out a 3-0 lead in the playoffs. Cheesy Too early to tell though.

Bronny James saying he will only try out for 2 NBA teams in spite of receiving plenty of interest. This is an interesting take. Especially with LeBron saying he’s a free agent while he has a player option on his contract. Makes me think we might actually see a LeBron and Durant pairing in Phoenix if the Lakers drop the ball on Bronny. Phoenix and the Lakers being the 2 teams he said he’d try out for.

I also had a feeling LeBron and Durant might team up next season. Well, of course LeBron's decision where to play next will for sure get influenced by whoever drafts Bronny. I mean, the dream for a father and son tandem in the NBA is still there regardless if Bronny said it's totally fine if he won't end up the same team as his dad.
