We shouldn't be surprised by the Lakers-AD trade though, I mean Lebron is the one that's been pushing this for a long time so it's just a matter of time before it will materialised. AD has been very vocal ever since the news came out.

It might be a big risk specially for Lakers but I think in the long run it will be worth. Yes, the West has evolved again, we don't know the status of Golden State or even Houston next year, but Lakers definitely will be a contender.
Risky move by the Lakers' front office. Lebron James is aging, he and AD can't win a championship though they may reach the playoff IMO. This block buster trade really in favor of the Pelicans with the number of young players they can bring to their roster. This news create a buzz in Hollywood and it's good for business but i doubt if they can hold that Larry O'Brien trophy in the near future.

That's risky but they know better, they would not agree with the trade if they believe AD will not make the Lakers a championship team.
Let's just watch next season, I do believe that was a wise move, although risky.
Remember how they also did this before when they acquired Malone and Payton, it's not new to Lakers as they always take chances, we ain't sure how AD will help the team and how they perform this coming season, lots of talks and everyone have it's own opinions regarding to this but only time can reveal who really gain the favor from this trade.

Shoutout to those Lebron fans who switched to Toronto Raptors after Los Angeles Lakers didn't reach playoffs, and now they are back now to Los Angeles Lakers because of Anthony Davis  Grin
They have no choice but to cheer for another team during the finals since there's no Lebron. With the recent tweet of Lebron, well that verifies that he's going to play with Davis. Their team powered up and it's probably going to take back most of their fans. I find no fault for jumping to another team to support if the team you are supporting didn't reached to the finals. Another season and there will be change of rosters everywhere, Lebron being locked up to LA would be good but I think the Pelicans also won this trade.

With the pieces they sent in exchange for AD and his contract I really don't think that there is really that big of a risk for the Laker's future. If you are referring to the 3 first round draft picks sent to the Pelicans there value won't be as big as the Nets or Sacramento as Lakers will be a contender this season, Lebron don't have the time and patience for this draft picks to bloom, he doesn't even have patience for Ingram or Ball to grow. He wants a championship and getting one a top 3 center is one of it. With the cap space they have they can also sign another star in this Free agent filled season.

The season will start with a new sets of fans who will switch between teams, we can't removed the fact that those Lebron lovers really switch when they've
got eliminated then simply show interest with Leonard's when they've seen how great he is when the team reached the finals and win the title, and like what you have said, we will expect those fans to cheer back with Lakers coming this season.

Lol, someone is salty. Lakers have been chasing Davis since February if I'm not mistaken, so it's really inevitable. Win-win situation for both side, imo.

Yes. Looks like a lot was hurt by that move.

They are trying to mold Ball. Even analysts in both TNT and ESPN keeps on telling great things about the guy. But that is because of his father.
If I am Lonzo Ball I wouldnt like that.
It would be better to create your own legacy and not just because your father did this and that.

Now, he need to stand up and try to win each game in a Pelican jersey. That way he could also say Lakers did a wrong move.

Lakers did keep Kuzma though, who won the trade?

Pelicians won the trade here on the business side.
AD's arrival to the Lakers might be timely for them since the Warriors will not be playing at full strength next season.
I'm not familiar with the current Laker's roster, do they have someone who is a consistent outside shooter? or a really good defender?

Young guns are the ones sent out. These guys have the capability to make their own chemistry. They are losing when Lebron is playing last season while they are winning when he is out for an injury.
They are better together without a star. They are the upcoming stars of the NBA.

Ingram, Ball and Hard for Anthony Davis and also 3 first round picks plus the Number 4 overall in the draft pick.
Damn, looks like Magic Johnson is really serious about this.

I bet he really want to get a championship this year or the next one.

I am not going to lie I was a Lakers fan before Lebron came, I was a Kobe fan and still am and I do not hate Lebron but I dislike the way he becomes a diva and makes it like everything goes around him. Kobe played with bunch of scrubs as well but never made a scene unless someone came at him like Shaq did.

This year I was a tiny bit happy that we missed the playoffs because I feel like that would show Lebron how tough west is and how not ready he is for west specially too late for him since he came here later in his career.

I know with AD we will probably make the playoffs but what did it really cost? We could have a team of ; D'Lo Russel, Lonzo, Hart, Ingram, Kuzma, Randle right now, maybe I am missing someone else but that team is literally a 10+ year playoff run team if coached correctly, why would anyone disband that team and build around " Lebron and AD plus another FA" and give away not only our current young core but also FIVE!! more first round picks.

Many said last season was the Rockets' best chance to win a championship, but with the recent injusries to key Warriors players, next season could be their best to reach the finals and win. I'm pretty sure they still have enough fire power to defeat the lakers or other top teams in the west.

The landscape of the West has change again with the arrival of AD to the Lakers. But there are also rumours that they are pursuing either Kemba and Butler for a formidable line up next season.

What you would expect? People would really be always like that were they do tend to leave their favorite team if there is more much better.]
I would definitely say that its really a good playoff contender with such kind of draft.

There are loyal fans and there are not, what important is we are seeing a great team that could beat the champion in the league.
Lebron not able to enter in the playoffs was one of the downtimes of his career as a star in the NBA but he got a good blessing in return, which is AD to play with him. I am sure the fans are expecting a lot for the Lakers now, the last time Lebron could have bring this team to the playoffs if he did not got injured but this coming season, he will not only be playing alone as they already have a big thread in the inside.

I am a LeBron fan but didn't switch to Raptors immediately.
Firstly, I turned my hopes on Bucks and Giannis... Then, Raptors disqualified the Bucks and I started hating the Raptors.
But between Raptors and warriors I went for the Raptors! 😂

Raptor's are good enough to play the game, probably Leonard who shown potential moves to conquer loses. Perhaps, I am a big fan with GSW which preferably united and keep positive even Durant can't play the game. Also, Thompson got injured at 3rd quarter which gave motive positivity to play even in shortcomings.

Fuck those BANDWAGONS!!!!!!!!

To be honest I hate those bandwagons who are just picking the team they want and after losing, they will pick another team. Fuck them Cheesy

Regarding the trade, I think the Lakers won a bit on this trade because they didn't get Kuzma and they can get a better point guard right now. Maybe Kemba is fit for the team or maybe reunite with Irving Cheesy. Lebron + AD + Good point guard = playoff contender.

I guess I will be a solid lakers fan again, hehe. No to Haters ,we have a new hottest team in the West now, and we will just forget about the Warriors next season. Hoping for a chance to witness another NBA finals rematch of Lebron vs Kawhi again in a different team.
