Durant can also defend Leonard, it's not too late for him, if he likes to come back, that would be in the do or die game.
One win on the road will make their chance alive in the series as most likely they can win the game 6 at home, people really hoping for him to come back.
Lets say that Durant can defend Leonard yes but the question is, will Durant be on the court on Game 5 100% healthy?

Now Game 5 will be on the Raptors home and a chance for them to get their first championship. The odds are favoring to them. Klay played well on Game 4 but Curry didn't contribute that much to the game. He is well defended so the Raptors held him with under 20 pts IIRC. If Durant will not play on Game 5, its a game over for them but if he will play the chances of them winning on the road will increase a bit.

Just like what I have said even if Klay Thompson played this last game Toronto Raptors already have a game plan and it worked, they exploded in the 2nd half and they didn't mind the Warriors leading just by a bit early on. Still Kevin Durant is the game changer here and basing it from what I saw that he still has straps in his foot I don't think he is fully fit to return in the court yet. But if Kerr risks the situation and let Durant play Raptors might have to tweak their game by a lot especially on the defensive end now that the Warriors have their three main scorers on court.
Huge adjustment would really be needed for Raptors when we do talk about Durant is going back on the court. We know on whats his capability and so as with the other team.
Having 3 scorers on the court would give out some confusion when it comes on how to defend those but in raptors side we do see that most of them is capable on scoring too.Defensive phase is what do actually needs.

I don't think that Durant will be back in game 5. So there is no adjustments to the Toronto Raptors, they have done on their defense, and I think they are underrated on this department, just look at how they shutdown Giannis. I think, they will go all out on the next game to finished the Warriors with or without Durant. And yes, we haven't seen Kawhi having a off-night, a indication of how good Leonard is, his basketball IQ and how he commit himself to the game.

Kawhi is really in a good night.

Kawhi has no off night, unlike Curry, and that is the big difference, the chemistry of the Raptors are really outstanding, everyone has confident to score and contribute in any ways possible.

They will adjust again in game 5, but that's too late for them as the Raptors already have the momentum going back home, and they are hungry for their first NBA Finals Champion.
I'm seeing that hungry thing in Raptors team since this is their first final appearance and also highly possible on their first championship that
they can pull off. 3-1 lead as we can see and only 1 win would able to get that trophy. Its quite surprising that a new team would be the champion of this
year but well we cant conclude since the series isn't over yet.

Ya'll Warriors backers starting to get worried yet?
We close this out next week!
Then, we had to accept it. That's part of the game. Raptors fans suddenly raised since their win against Bucks. If only KD isn't injured, the story will be different but still Warriors has a chance. Remember Cavaliers overcome a 3-1 defecit and the first to did it in NBA finals against the so called unstoppable team Warriors. Also, Warriors did overcome a 3-1 defecit when KD is still in Thunder. Why not, let's go Warriors.

I don't know if you'll agree with me but I somehow see those Pistons team that won their last championship in this current Raptors team. They're hard on defense and deadly on the offense.

This maybe Raptors' season as all the stars are aligning on their favor. The injuries to the key players of the Warriors is taking the fight off them but anyways it's part of the game of basketball, players should be tough and not prone to injury to help their team if needed. The North is so hungry for that Larry O'Brien trophy and this could be the testament of Leonard's greatness.

Considering that Durant would be back in game 5, can he save Warriors from falling?

As I thought, it really happened.

The sudden come back of Klay made a lot of difference.
Anyone notice how Curry runs? It is like he is always out of stamina but that is not really it.
The play suddenly change. There are not much backscreens that happened. Why? Klay is there. Mostly when their chemistry is working Klay and Curry is running under the rim trying to give both a screen just so they could free any of them even for just a millisecond. It did not happen.

Another is the sudden back of Looney. Yes he does look good with his stats but the play is not really working. All are lucky pass and that is why he can score.
They shouldve just given a little time for Klay. Let him be marinated with the gameplay and make Curry do his magic again. It is not working because deep in his mind he knew Klay was there. It is like all 3 point shots of Curry are forced ones.

Congratulations to the Raptors for being aggressive in the defensive and offensive field. Kawhi is really in a good night.

The tricky situation on 3-1 leads is that raptors are going back home now, if they win then they win however if they lose then they are going to play on oracle arena yet again which warriors may get Durant or not but still at home...
_snip_

They will not win it without Durant, that's the truth that hurt, Thompson came back and give a good contribution to the team, but Curry was well defended.
This time to win, they need a 3rd offense and that is coming from Durant.

However, I do not believe it will be like that this series, I feel like warriors are looking like they have already given up and they will be just playing for playing's sake and not to win, of course there is a winning mindset in them since they are NBA level players but not like they were previous years and not like raptors have this year.

Raptors in 5!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I'm a Warriors fan but at this moment, the Raptors will win the championship for sure. Stephen A.'s prediction is wrong again and he is 0-8 now in Finals Prediction. I will not be a bandwagon because the Warriors lost this season.

Nah, I don't trust Stephen A.'s mouth. Specially when he keeps on sort of 'promoting' Carmelo Anthony.  Grin

Now I'm thinking that Durant will be traded to another team in the next trade season and the Warriors must reshuffle their roster already.

True, If Durant leave then maybe Thompson and Curry and Green will still remain to the team. But definitely, I'm seeing Durant leaving them for New York Knicks.

This has been going on since the regular season. If they lose this finals, then he's gone. He's already won 2 championships and there's no reason to stay anymore.

That's going to be the scenario after the NBA Finals, and I believe the decision of Durant to leave, will be the best for him and for the Warriors.
Warriors still a championship caliber team even without him, and they will be back to the old warriors which is fun to watch and not too filled with stars.

I know of some people who always bet against Stephen's pick, they might win again this time  Cheesy

Raptors are one step closer to the title.
Kawhi Leonard totally deserves that ring. He played again solidly and scored 36 points. Once again the most points in the game. I hope they are going to win the next matches as well.
If they dominated the Warriors on the Road, that would be easy in their home court, once game 5 will commence, people will already be expecting after the game the Raptors will be proclaim the champion. Honestly, I bet on the Warriors to win in the series but I have to accept my defeat this early as the Raptors played an outstanding game in the past 2 games.

What a big surprise, this series might end up in 5, Warriors did not came to play tonight, Raptors just figure out how to counter their every play.
Kudos to Raptors defense, they deserved this win, first time in the Finals, and first time NBA champion, Kawi, 2nd finals MVP award coming.

Yes, Toronto will be the champions for this year and there is no three peat. They have broken down GSW dynasty and this could be the one of the biggest history in the NBA after a trade. Well only James did win after a 1-3 deficit against GSW but I doubt they can do it this year. The lost pretty much seal the deal for them. I'm sure that KD won't play in the next game as well. Curry had a bad shooting night and Raptors really played exceptional defense as well.
