We can see that Kuzma has the talent needed by the team but what's lacking is the catch and shoot guy like Klay. Talent wise, yes Kuzma has it but with the addition of someone like Klay would make the Lakers a much different team than they were now.

Hart is the closest one that could catch and shoot like Klay from the Lakers. I know he aint that consistent with his 3 point shooting and sometimes he had a poor shoot selection, but give this kid a year or two and another year to fully develop his range. I really love to see this Lakers team for the next 4 years. This team is stacked with young talents.
Or we can add KCP as well, there are news that he is working with a shooting coach and it's evident that his shooting has improved as well. Of course this young prospects need to develop and I'm sure they will developed themselves in another year or two.

I strongly agree with that.

If I were the Lakers management I would really keep the three young guns. Ingram, Kuzma and Lonzo.
They have a lot of future ahead and we could already see that.
Just combine them with veteran player just so someone could teach them something and also control them when the game is heated up.

Lakers lose once again. This team is incredibly inconsistent without a true leader. Lebron is still out and he is by far the best playmaker they have and create so many offensive chances, without him Lakers look like they have no idea what they are doing. Rondo is out as well and he is normally a genius that could at least unlock the other teams defense and help his teammates realize what they should do in order to win, Lonzo got into early foul trouble so he wasn't really effective neither.

Just like I said in my previous, even though that Lakers is performing very well at times without Lebron, the team really needs his leadership on the court. They needed his basket IQ and basketball minds to create a lot of offensive chances which they obviously lack today. This is uncharted territories for the young team right now so it's a big challenge for them. So far they have been inconsistent though.

Put Donovan amazing game on top of that and you get yourself another loss. I just really hope Lakers will get better with time but seriously it has been years of tanking and young guys improving and we still don't have anything to show for it, they must be getting a bit better by this time around, I am not expecting them to be amazing, they could still lose a lot of games but not being able to score and have no clue how to is not really acceptable at this level.

For a Laker fans, yes it's frustrating to see them tank for years now. There's a lot of hype around Lonzo when he enter, but so far  we haven't seen any significant changes. I'm sure they are not panicking, but I guess we really need some time to see them back in the groove and wait till Lebron is back. They are still holding the 8th spot (23-20).

Not yet, I guess he will drop from top 10  because he got expose tonight.
The Utah Jazz just simply dominated them, Kuzma played 36 minutes and after making 41 points in their previous game, he was held for only 11 points today. No 3 point shot made in the entire game and had a very poor shooting at 4-18 from the field.

Clearly, that one game against the Piston was just a lucky game for Kuzma because they are playing a struggling team too, unlike the Jazz who are doing well.
I can agree with this. He isn't that good enough to sustain how he plays in their last game against the Pistons. He is inexperienced unlike other players that can play superb performance in consecutive games. One thing more is the Lakers are not that good in  road. They are only good in their home but not at the road.

It's obvious that the Lakers are not good at the road but maybe if they add up one three point shooter, then the taste of their game would be different. Another thing is, they don't have the king at their disposal right now due to injury. So let's just see when he comeback, and ohw, he is willing to invite Klay to the Lakers this summer after his contract expires from the warriors. This would be exciting.

Lol. Kuzma scoring that much can also be attributed to lebron not playing 🤣 the kid does have good potential and talent and can excel given the right opportunity but still has a long way to go.

Anyone noticed the chemistry of Lakers?  Cool

They are getting better at passing and they always knew where their team mate is.
Kuzma getting 41 points for just 29 minutes. 9 players of Lakers played the game and 8 got points on their stats against the strong Detroit Pistons. What's better? Doing it without Lebron and Rondo.
Now they are getting fun to watch specially Kuzma. I am a big fan of this young player.
I also admired how this young rookie played, we've heard a lot from different rookies in the league but this boy have it's own way to be recognized and be noticed, I see him before LeBron's transfer and looking forward to see him improved and with how LeBron treat him there's a lots to expect with this young superstar.

You guys noticed that Kuzma is already in the top 10 in the All Star voting?

I guess the NBA and the fans are noticing that this kid is something special and he has a lot of leg room to improved and could be the potential Lakers franchise players.

Of course they are better if Lebron is on the court, but I don't see any differences whether he is playing on the court or not. Just fun to see Lakers and the chemistry they build specially with this kids.

Indeed, he has to learn how to pace himself out. Or the Jazz really scouted and concentrate on him that's why he as a awful night. Could be they got tired as well, or just have a off-night. Nevertheless, Kuzma is a big potential and I'm sure that he is learning a lot from James and Rondo on how to handle setbacks.
Not all performances of each player would really be the same on each team that they would face-off. Even superstars cant even show-off anytime when they are on the court against team
or simply doesnt shine or do have odd performance and for a rookie like Kuzma then its not different at all but he do really have the potential. We can clearly see on his performance.

Lebron trust him that's why his confident was boosted.
I like him because he is consistent, it's the coach decision to give him more opportunity to shoot and he has not waste that opportunity.
Tonight, they have a game against the Utah Jazz, let's see if he can continue his high scoring, I know it's gonna be tough because Jazz is a defensive team.

Even Lebron and Rondo are not playing, they are helping these young players outside the court by advising them what they must do inside the court. Well, I wish this will continue so that when Lebron and Rondo come back they will be a lot stronger. I will not be surprised if Kuzma will be an all star player in the next 2-3 years. Good on outside and inside and he is tall that can help the team. If he will continue how he plays right now, he can be an all star in the next years.

Westbrook is a beast I am not going to argue with that but sometimes he feels like he gets into a mud and can't get out (forgot the name of thing that you get in and more you move more you sink, sand something). Dude has such a low three point shooting percentage this season that its insane he is still shooting them no matter what.

Spurs on the other hand have been one of the most consistently good teams in the league for the past month and a half because they finally get the much needed roster stability, at the early season when they were trying new rosters and bench moving constantly and injuries popping everywhere it was a bit difficulty, but now they have been playing with the same roster for months now so they got used to it and every player knows what they have to do and got into the "spurs system" entirely.

They all know each other and they all know who can do what and they all know the system and now they are playing accordingly. There are three things that is certain in life, death , taxes and spurs making it to playoffs.
You are thinking of Quicksand. Westbrook is the star of the team. He has to put up big numbers for the team to succeed, Just like Harden. Westbrook did have a lot of assists today though, which is always good to see. He had 24 assists while he scored 24. Only the decision making is sometimes a little lacking with him. Coming to Spurs, Early into the season.. DeRozen wasn't really playing well for them. Took him some time to understand the role for the team. He has more meaningful contributions to the team now as he recently got a triple-double and today just 2 rebounds short of a triple-double. Im really liking the Spurs that I'm watching these days. Aldridge has just taken his game to another level(which I wasn't expecting at all). She's such a tricky beast. League seems to a little more balanced than last few years. At least a few good games everyday. Smiley

Anyone watched San Antonio Spurs against Oklahoma Thunder? What a classic game! LaMarcus Aldridge dropped a career high with 56 Points, 9 Rebounds $ 4 Blocks on OKC, that's insane. While Russel Westbrick got his 4th career game with 24 Points, 13 Rebounds & 24 Assists. Insane numbers right?
24 Assists, that's not normal, any player with a star quality can make 50 points or more but that number of assist is just insane.
Unfortunately, OKC loss in the game despite of WB's effort, and LaMarcus Aldridge is really improving a lot, he is the reason why the Spurs are having a big success lately. Maybe we should include him as one of the MVP candidates, big man with a great shooting skills and now the heart of the Spurs.
If he will continue playing constantly then why not, but if he will play good one night then the next day will be lacking of dedication, maybe he will be far from those constant stars, the game really intense the fans and that exchange rally from both teams really make the game worth to watch, 24 asst from WB might be the beginning of new style from this MVP expect more to come from OKC.
There will be more to come from him because he has proven to be an oiled machine, he won his MVP already and that says he has a caliber of a real star. However, what's important more is the team winning, and that stat padding of Westbrook will not earn him respect from the real star if he cannot deliver a win especially against good team like the Spurs.

The Heat are good in their home that is why they dominated the Celtics that easily. Vintage Wade as always Smiley. They have no all star caliber players but they are playing great right now because of their teamwork and the experience of Wade help other players too. I think having
Well they have Wade which is a real alll star and  GOAT.
This team although not having lot of stars in the team is proving they can compete, and that's their ticket to the playoffs.
I think we can also credit the coaching style, and I believe if Bron is still playing with the Heat, they can still win the NBA Finals.
Dragic in their lineup will give them a spot into the playoffs.
Hoping for his fast recovery, he adds value to the team. Sure, they have a shot in the playoffs if they'll reach.
