Oladipo of course would make a difference, saying otherwise would be disingenuous to say the least. I think the real question is will it be enough? I mean if they had Oladipo they would be better than they are right now but I doubt they would be better than Celtics. Celtics is playing with a lot of defensive strengths on their side and brad Stevens is one of the best defensive coaches in the league, that means even if they can't score much they will certainly hold you down to a low score as well.
Oladipo is not some Kevin Durant type player who can take over a whole game so he probably wouldn't find any solutions neither. They are all around not as good as Celtics no matter what, not because Celtics is amazing but they are just simply better than Pacers with this roster.
Good speculation but I dont agree with some points.
When Oladipo is around here is what could happen.
Turner could focus on defense.
The floor with be wider with Oladipo running the offense while role players are on the other side of the court waiting for a 3 point opportunity.
The aura of Pacers is different when Oladipo is around.
That is a star, they look up into him and they know they can lean on him in times of need.
He is a big loss for the Pacers but they need a better startegy by now. That kind of loss happens and Celtics also have the same event when 2 of their stars are out but yet tend to go to the semis.
I too have loss my will to watch Pacers because of a non Oladipo game. It could have been a good 1st round game.
