The Boston celtics are amazing!

In the absence of Owen and hayward can play such a game!

The Cleveland cavaliers need to think hard about their tactics! Le bran James was clearly not ready!

LeBron is on the mission again this year, and for you guys who thinks Celtics can overcome the Cavs, well sorry to say but the chances are very low without their 2 superstars. Experience has a higher winning percentage. Remember what happened with the OKC in the 2012 NBA finals? That team was stacked with young talents, but they lost because they dont have experienced the pressure and atmosphere in a playoff championship game.
It wouldve been a good competetive match up if both teams have a healthy roster.
I agree that the Cavaliers had a big advantage over the Celtics on paper but let us remember that the Sixers are pretty much dominating the Celtics on paper also and it did not translate into the game. The Celts dominated the Sixers and this might also happen to the Cavaliers if they will be overconfident that they will win over the Celtics.
With Kyrie Irving missing from the lineup I just think that it’s enough for the Cavaliers to get the victory just because of one Lebron James alone who has been in great form and have proven  many of his critics wrong.
Even though it is only game one but i think it is a good sign for the Celtics and also a confidence booster for the that they can beat the Cavaliers in this series.

This is like a history that is written and will just repeat itself.  I was once a fan of Boston Celtics but if we'll see and check the line up, experience and path on who's going to the right one, Cavs is the clear one that's going through. I like to assume that this can be the same as last year that Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers will face again in the finals but this season will be for Cavs.
Lebron is very consistent in the East so I have to believe that they will easily win against the Boston this year.
If only they have Irving playing with them now, they might have a chance to win against the cavaliers as they have the home court advantage, but sadly Irving was injured so their chance of winning is very low now.
From the past round, Boston really struggles from some plays. IMO, correct that Lebron's consistency could lead them to finals. But I think Boston will put a little fight in the end of the East Finals.

But my team is Gloden States. Say Hi to the Warriors fans here. Hooooo!!!!  Roll Eyes
Ahh no. Not a Warriors fan! Embarrassed
Just kidding. Wink
I can not see them going far since they have Curry who has soft ankles and everytime I see him jumping for the ball I always see in my mind him twisting his foot again and being out for the rest of the playoffs.
We have all seen how the Warriors perform without their leader at the helm and against a healthy Cavaliers team, they do not have a chance to go on to the finals.
They already know what Stephen Curry's  injury of course. Coach Steve Kerr will prevent him to take strong from the paint. With the help of Durant and Green from their defense to Lebron, he will be immobilize in case Cavs will go to conference finals.
What I was getting at was if Stephen Curry rolls his ankle again, which could be very easy for him to do on any play being run, the Warriors are done.
They might as well kiss their chances to even get to the finals goodbye.
Curry is their team and without him not even Kevin Durant and Draymond Green can save the team from going down with depending on defense alone.

We will need to see how he does against Capella in the Houston Rockets match up first (https://www.sfchronicle.com/warriors/article/Warriors-Rockets-matchup-to-watch-Draymond-Green-12908341.php) before talking about even meeting up with Cavailers when they run over Boston first. Wink

I dont think they will let him play without a go signal from his health team. This people are paid big time and they wont sacrifice the whole payment for just some games.
Even with the playoffs, they did not force Curry to play even with GSW getting hard times in their games.
He should be really healthy by now if they already let them go.
If there will be injuries that will happen then it can be a new one or just because of age. Grin
It will a good match up. Capella is working because of Harden. You could look at how Green defended Anthony Davis from the recent games. It is a hard job but he could somehow do some work on the inside.

Curry's injury in my opinion is not worst as everyone may have thought it could be. He's young, lot of advance technology that really help him heal that injury quickly. That's why he was given a clean bill of health and did play against NO. And as we can see, he is still deadly outside and his form is back.

Green defending Anthony Davis is a classic, its like Rodman defending Malone during the Chicago vs Utah days. What sets them different though is that Green was able to cover everyone in the NO roster, he can switch and guard anyone and make them change their shots. Of course a block will do, but it's not necessary to play good defense, changing or distracting their shot is a good indication that you are really a good defensive player.

This is very true, I was hoping that his recent injury would have sidelined him for much longer so that he would have at least missed a great deal of the play offs. But he can still get injured at any time though.

I still can't decide whether I should make a bet in favor of GSW for the Tuesday's game or not. They are in very god form right now, with Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson performing exceptionally well. But so is the Houston Rockets. James Harden can be a tough nut to crack for the GSW.
This is going to be a very good match-up between the depending champions and the top team after the elimination round. If home court advantage would be a factor in this series then i think the Rockets would have an edge but i don't think it would matter. Still i would bet my money on the Golden State Warriors here.

That is why this is going to be a good fight.
Bets will be changing every quarter and I am thinking of going live looking at it.
I am a GSW fan but this Houston team is really strong and will really make a big change when it comes to the vegas odds.
With their great offense and their record, they might become the favorite and also because of the homecourt advantage.

Houston Rockets is a great team this season and I gotta tell you, they will be giving a good fight since these two teams are having a breeze match since the playoffs. I guess we will be seeing a Game 7 this finals, whether it is Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics or Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets.

It is time to put your bets.

I have to agree with you that Rockets is a different team now, they became stronger, but I think it isnt enough to bet the GSW, they are a very solid team with a solid line up. I am one of those who hope that Rockets will beat the GSW, so we could see different team playing in the finals.
On the other hand, Celtics has a very slim chance to win against the Cavs without their 2 superstars. It wouldve been a great showdown between this 2 team if they have both healthy roster.
True, we might be able to witness a good series if Irving and Hayward were both healthy.
Rockets are a good team but against the Warriors, I think it will be difficult for them, the fact that they loss a game at home against
the Jazz, I am convince that the Warriors can take at least 1 game on the road as well.

Bet on the warriors, they need a win on the road so they can take the advantage in the series.
If there is a chance to win for the warriors, it should be the game 1 because it's a more intense game and the defense of Warriors are way better.

As for the West side, GSW looks pretty good specially with Curry healthy and shooting is back in form. With KD always consistent and Klay doing his thing, plus Green with good defense and AI contributing nicely as well. So I will also go for GSW and eliminate the Rockets and face the Cavs once again.

Yesterday, I watched the Golden State Warriors' game against the New Orleans Pelicans. What you pointed out is correct. Kevin Durant has showed a lot of consistency during this season. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson may be getting most of the points, but I believe that KD is having the most impact in the matches for GSW.

Yes, KD doing everything, although one chink in his armor is defense however, his overall consistency and team play offset his weaknesses. Maybe we can see Curry matching points with James Harden which will equalizes everything. But GSW still has KD to contend with, where I don't think that Houston has someone to even negate the advantage. Its going to rain three points, I agree, but the main difference will be KD, toying with Houston shooting at any angle.
The Rockets have no defenders for KD unless they will put Tucker in him or Anderson. This series will rain a bunch of threes in different parts of the three point lines. Maybe we will see Curry and Harden rivalries, Paul and Thompson maybe and Durant vs ________. None I think because nobody can match how KD plays in the playoffs now. Even the Warriors finished top 2 in the elimination, they will win the Western Conference trophy and will go to NBA Finals.
Harden will choke in the playoffs and we know that, if it was not because of Paul, they could not win easily against the Utah Jazz.
The Rockets are more defensive focus now but can they stop the offense of the warriors that is coming from different players?

Its a great match and I think this game will be the must awaited series, if only there's no conference against the teams then this two best teams in this league will the the game to watch, I agree with you guys kd still the big difference as he can dominate the court and control the tempo, with the big 4 plus kd gsw still have the big edge to defend the title, though things can be different inside the finals.

I give Boston a chance to win this rematch even without their star players because compared to last year they have totally a different line-up. Only four players are hold over from last season so we expect a different approach on the game on the Celtic's side.

Of course everyone should give Boston a chance to upset the Cavs even if it's a long shot. For gamblers who love to bet on underdogs to get a nice windfall, its there chance now. I haven't check what's the odds for Boston, but I'm sure that they are huge underdog in this match and its easy to bet with just small bets.

The Celtics team are a very young team if you look at the core line-up. Play-offs is all about experience because the pressure is there and if you don't have experience you will not be able to cope up with it. Lebron James trip to the finals in five straight years makes him a harden animal on the basketball court and he does not buckle to pressure anymore. It is very evident in the Pacers and Raptors series wherein he took over the game when it matter the most.
