Im seeing a sweep series of San Antonio Spurs against their recent playoff match with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Kawhi Leonard is really a beast after their recent win.
Who on the Grizzlies can stop Leonard? Four Grizzlies have guarded him on at least five of his plays this series; Vince Carter, James Ennis, Marc Gasol and Wayne Selden. Leonard is a combined 17-of-19 against them, with 21 of his 28 free throw attempts resulting from matchups against that quarter.
Also Leonard went 19 of 19 from the free throw line in Game 2, the first player with that many makes and no misses since my idol Dirk Nowitzki’s 24 of 24 game in 2011.
Most likely the Spurs owned the Grizz, 2011 was the only playoff time when they upset the Spurs if I remember it right, but that was along time ago when they are still younger. Now, there are great additions to the spurs and their defense are really good but I am not impress with the offense honestly, Leonard is good but I don't know how they will manage to guard the shooters of the warriors if they will face each other.
Yes that was on 2010-2011 Season and they achieved a surprise upset there coming from the 8th seed bringing down the top 1 in the West.
About the Warriors concern, that should be on their preparations now. I know they have some pointers now after their loss with the GSW in the last phase of the season.
Cleveland Cavaliers 117 - 111 Indiana Pacers
San Antonio Spurs 96 - 82 Memphis Grizzlies
Toronto Raptors 00:00 Milwaukee Bucks
Boston Celtics 01:00 Chicago Bulls
L.A. Clippers 03:30 Utah Jazz
As expected San Antonio and Cleveland are 2-0. Until now, San Antonio is the team that has won more easily matches.
San Antonio, however , the next round will be a strong opponent (Houston or Oklahoma).
Cleveland could instead have an easy match against Milwaukee who surprisingly won with a big lead(+14) against Toronto in the first match of the series.
Don't count the Raptors out just yet because they lost their first game. I don't think Lowry will repeat such poor statline and if they manage to tie the series then the Raptors would still be the favorites. Now I understand that this is a crucial game for the Bucks, getting that second away victory will put them in complete control of these series. I don't understand how the Raptors with the recent acquisition of Ibaka are playing at such low level.
As a Cleveland fan it would be great to face Delly and the Bucks though, we are tired of Toronto!
And yes, like I said in my previous post, we can't based the output on the game just in Game 1. Mistakes and errors are always discussed by every team after their games so I think Raptors will give Bucks a good game on Game 2.
