There's no much movement in the West with a formation of super team so I think Thunders will make it to the playoffs even at the rank 8th.

Also there's are times when Durant is out of the game and sometimes off night and Westbrook do the monster performance instead.

I agree. And holding 8th spot in the West is kinda difficult only for those West teams that don't even have a superstar.

The case is different in terms of OKC. Im really sure they will make it to the top 8 with their current rosters.
OKC could even go up higher than the 8th seed, if they could find a good combination that will give them solid offense and a decent defense. On the offensive end, they have Westbrook and Oladipo to carry most of the load, with Enes Kanter to support them. On the defensive end, they have Steven Adams who will serve as the anchor. With a lot of experience on them being in the playoffs, I think they can find ways to squeeze in all the way to 5th or 6th spot.

For now, its hard to predict if they can make the playoffs because they are in the west. But knowing Westbrook, I think he will dominate this season and if the new players adjusted quickly to westbrook, they will be good.

If you look at the brighter picture, I see it's not that hard to predict that OKC will landed on the playoffs. OKC is not only Durant. Just because Durant left, OKC will be nothing and even can't make it to top 8 in the West? Of course no.

The only concern here is the absence of Westbrook. He must maintained it's healthy status and try to avoid injuries which is unexpected because OKC has terrible stats without Durant and Westbrook alone on the floor.
we really cant say yet since the are not seeing the teams yet but as for making it to the playoffs theres still big chance for okc even durant already leave them the team have newcomers and we can expect some new name to step out just needed for westbrook to lead them up.
Well, the possibility is their, but I doubt if they can ever win in the first round. It is a different games in playoffs because a team with many veterans and superstars has a bigger chance to succeed, and westbrook is the only one in thunder.

Kinda excited with Durant's first game vs OKC, like how the fans would burn him.  Grin Grin Grin
The fans are going to burn him for what he has done but he also has done some great things for OKC so lets not forget that.
He has been so close a couple times to win the NBA finals but he was not able to do it.
That is right, they owe something big to Durant and they should pay respect on that, Durant has been a great help to make the thunder popular in the world but this time Durant is on a  mission and want to prove something in himself that great players deserve championship.

Your right, they should move on on Durant. Durant is not the first player to leave his first team in the NBA. OKC has still potential to be a great team. I'm sure they will build a great team around Westbrook.

Remember when LBJ left Cleveland for Miami way back then? Even if Lebron got them to the 2007 finals when he left they burned his jersey to the ground. I kinda wanna see that kind of drama with Durant again.  Grin

I think a lot of the other players are going to step up, knowing that they can now be the next superstar beside Russell Westbrook. This is a different scenario when Durant got injured for the most part of a season, because there was a chance that he could come back. Now, the other players can really show how they can make OKC fill the big void created by K.D.s departure.

Kinda excited with Durant's first game vs OKC, like how the fans would burn him.  Grin Grin Grin
There might be mixed emotions from the crowd because before leaving them, Kevin Durant was the saviour of their franchise. But I am sure there will be a lot more who will be jeering him and will shout boo every chance they get. Well, that's basketball and he should be ready to face those hecklers and cheerers, as well.
I hope to see still the thunder a playoff team this season, they really lose big as one of their star players is not playing anymore, anyway it should be a big burden for westbrook on how to save the team to still compete at the highest level.

thats right last season westbrook really dominate the games and its now all in his shoulders no durant to help him out
for sure he will still show his monstrous performance and will keep the okc into the playoffs.

wow darius Miles who earned over 62 million! is now broke!

What a moron, I bet he had a huge entourage of leaches and women
who took all his money.  Nba needs to force these guys to have a 401k lol

I bet his motto in life is "you ain't gonna live forever" or 'YOLO.'

One thing for sure is that he did enjoyed those days.  Smiley

Bad move for Miles well enjoy today pay later. I guess that is his ideology in life he just wasted his opportunity for becoming wealthy with his career. I think many fans of his are already broke and failed because of what he had done. Girls are just always there but true happiness is going to be the hardest part of his to find.
That's what happened when you are living a classy life yet your income is not overflowing, regardless of our status in life but if we do not have the right discipline to spend our money we will end up broke like this guy, I bet he loves girls or maybe gambling at the same time, they go together I guess.

Well if I am going to be in the shoe of Miles that I have that life, I won't waste any opportunity and going to waste it easily just like that.

Girls are really just going to eat your money and going to make you poor if they are not going to love you they are just going to run for your money.

I hope Miles is going to be able to stand again from this tragedy. Grin

I think he was one of those straight out of high school players that landed with the then-mediocre Los Angeles Clippers team. He was an athletic wing guy who had a lot of potential, and eventually played as a decent player of the bench. He should have learned a lesson or two from Antoine Walker who squandered I think about $100 million. I can think of countless names when it comes to poorly managing their finances (i.e. Gilbert Arenas and his expensive shark pet food).
Those players just loses their opportunity to enjoy a good life, they are to lavish on their spending instead of thinking ways to grow their money because as an athlete you cannot be an athlete for the rest of your life, the demand will be lessen as new players are coming which are better and younger that yours, they should have realize that and instead manage their finances well.
