Lakers looking to sign Chinese legend.
Yi Jianlian making his back to the NBA. Lakers need a beast to throw the ball to down low now that Mozgod is hurt  Grin

I see how he play. Compare to the other center, he is not a threat. I dont think it give them an impact. He played great at CBA. But i think NBA is a different level compare to CBA. A lot of centers now are very strong and can shoot at three point area. Also he is not that young compare to other younger and stronger centers. I dont think he can compete with them.
I hope lakers would not get this man if they still have other options, I am pretty sure there are great players in the D league who are just waiting to step up in big stage, remember clarkson when he was given a chance to play, he steppe up because he wants to prove something and wants to be a good player in the NBA.

Seriously, Mozgov is hurt? Now that should suck for the Lakers considering that they just signed him to a multi-year contract? If he is indeed out, how long is going to be on the shelf? I am not sure if Yi Jianlian is still that good. Even in Asian level, he seems to be just an average player. And he is not getting any younger. The Lakers could do better than him but let's hope he turns out to a good bench player if ever he is signed to a contract.

yeah his pathetic butt got hurt playing for team Russia. Even if he was
healthy it was still a pathetic contract.  If I was a b level player like horace
grant from the 90s I would be pissed cause they made peanuts back then in
comparison to the B level players now.

This guy is very soft, if the Lakers want to succeed this season they need a beast down low, and I don't think this Chinese guy can dominate the inside. I fee sorry for the Lakers as they have this problem now, I just hope all is well and they can get the best player to start the season strong.

What do you guys think of the Los Angeles Lakers this season? How are they going to perform with a not so spectacular line up? With the projected starting five of Mozgov, Randle, Deng, Clarkson and Russell, how do you think are they going to fare against other teams? Will they be any better this season? How are they going to utilize the talents of their top pick, Ingram?

I always do believe in clarkson. I can see that he has a big potential about being the next kobe brayant in the nba? Well we all know that kobe will always be kobe but i can always see clarkson to be like him someday.
Yeah, Jordan Clarkson my man. He is the pride of every Filipinos here in the Philippines. Clarkson has a lot of potential thats why he chose to practice more than to join our national team on olympic qualifiers. He is talented athelete no doubt about that but compare to Kobe. Kobe is the greatest of all time. Maybe Clarkson will step on Kobe's footsteps. Lets see this season what are the improvements he gained from his training.
Clarkson is still very young but already a clutch player, if he will be give more playing time and will be trusted as the main man in the lakers, he will be develop more as he will have high confidence to lead his team in the game.

I'm so excited for the young players of the Los Angeles. They have bright ahead of them. But they've must still grind to become a championship contender.

and having the 2nd pick this year adds up to their young contenders.

but there are many surprising trades this year. from hero to villain even.

It cannot really gaurantee for them to get a high contegency on these season since theyre young guns are newbies and they dont have high caliber they can rely on but let see how the couch will handle those young talent since they are the one whos giving them position and select the rules in their team and im very sure that jordan clarkson will step up for next season since he is the new face of lakers now.

Hello Guys Off topic about "2016/17 NBA Off-Season".

Hmmm You guys realize that Shaq is the 4th best center to ever play the game of basketball?

Kareem Abdul Jabar, Wilt, Bill, & Shaq? 5th if you wanna count Duncan as a center
Most dominant? How can you be the most dominant and not be the best at your respective position...

I never saw Wilt  and Bill play but from what I understand he played with short
slow white guys and had little to no competition around the rim so very
difficult to judge.

I would put Kareem first then Shaq. I definitely respect history but its difficult to judge
when they played against garbage players.
Can't really say that they are garbage players just because you don't know them. There were a lot of great big men during the 60's and 70's. I would put Bill Russell over Shaq any day. That man can even be considered among the top five greats of all time. Over a dozen championships as a player and coach, multiple MVP awards and what have you. If anything, their play served as guidance to those big men who came after them.
We really cannot tell because they are playing in a different era, some players are better in our opinion but for other they are not that better, today's basketball is way more different from the past because today NBA players are soft and they can easily flop. Real warriors are in the past while today NBA players are some kind of gay.
Yes thats right. The past era is good. They play good and no flopping and tricks. They cant match Wilt Chamberlain scoring ability. He scores over hundred in a single game and take note, there is no 3 point at that time. Can they match the greatness of Jordan? They are the reason why NBA are still alive. They are the face of NBA. And always will be.

for Clarksons on good he better not get that Kardashian curse.

From what I heard he is dating Kendall from that moron family and we
all see what they did to Lamar Odom.
And they did it again with harden, james harden was not having a very good season last season because other said that is the curse of kardasian, and I can really tell because his team were sucks and was easily dominated by the golden state warriors.
Hey, this is nothing to do with curses and shit. They did a great run last season. They were just not lucky. They face the defending champions in the first round of the playoffs. They do their best but was not good enough to beat a strong team golden state. Golde state is a pretty solid and talented players not like the rockets, they only rely on Harden, Ariza and Howard.

sorry but just wondering when will next season start?
in Oct or Nov?
can't wait anymore for the interesting next season...

If I'm not mistaken the next season will start at October 25,2016 by this year the season '16-'17 will going to start soon.

Me either, I can't for it to start. I'm betting for Cleveland again or Golden state warriors.

I hope they are going to face each other again in the finals.

Todays players are definitely soft. They are super rich and dont have much motivation except the "look at me" rap video culture we all
live in.  I respect the pioneer players much more who had jobs in the off season because they didnt have 100 million dollar shoe
contracts.

sure they are they just want more money
nba in 90s was by me best one
yes mate those who played before 2k era is more deserving to be called superstars rather than to the latest super rich stars 90's players played for pride and not for money, but today's players played for their money, don't really showed their best because they need to be in the league for their contracts and commercials.
