We may get 2 conference finalists tonight as a couple of 3 win teams are playing tonight. The Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat both have the chance to advance tonight and neither are must win games for them. The Knicks and Warriors both have their backs against the wall as their next loss will be their last game of the season. I’ll be watching TNT tonight!

This will be an interesting night for the most of us and I know that there are a lot of people who are rooting for the favorites to win their respective games especially the Warriors later, and I know as well that these team's chances are somewhat good enough to force another game but I don't think that both Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers will just easily agree because if they can finish the whole series, they will.

I don’t think whoever wins between the Knicks and Heat really matters. Boston and Philly would both destroy either the Knicks or Heat (in my opinion). Selfishly, I just want to see LeBron play against Durant but if I’m being honest I don’t think the Suns are going to beat the Nuggets. Denver is one all star shooting guard away from having the best team in the league.

There's no chance of either the Knicks or the Heat making it to the Championship..and if it weren't for Jimmy Butler and my love of him (as a former Bull/Bulls fan) I wouldn't even be watching this series at all.  But, he's a special player and of course an incredible player when it comes to the playoffs..so if the Heat do advance, I think he'll be able to will his team to at least a win or two..but nothing else.

Looks like I was dead wrong about this Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76Ers game. I thought the Celtics would handle them easily on their home court but this game has been ugly. Boston can’t hit the side of a barn with their shots. No way you can win a game in today’s NBA when you’re shooting ~30% from the field and 25% from three point range…

They are on the brink of getting knockout in the NBA playoffs same as the Phoenix Suns because they kinda blowout their chance to win one of the most crucial games of the series and they ended up getting huge pressure on their upcoming games. Tomorrow the GSW will gonna try their best to stay alive but the Lakers will not let them and will need to stop them in game 5 because they cannot afford to make GSW create momentum which will gonna make them regret and struggle to win game 7 of the series.

I think the Warriors will make a big statement win tomorrow, just like they did after losing game 1.
LA will have to win the series at home, and if they don't, they will be in trouble.

Steph will carry the team tomorrow and if Klay is having a good game 5 just like in Sacramento, there is no question the series will shift back to LA.

Of course Golden State cold also blow it tomorrow but imo there is no chance they lose 4:1 . Not with this team and not at home.

Miami on the other hand might actually close it out at MSG. They are on a roll and the game will be a close one. If Jimmy Buckets has another big game the series might be over after this one.

Just really un-Warrior like the performance they've showed last game, that is a winnable game but they let it slip away and not they are down 3-1 which is hard to make that comeback. Yes, it's going to be in Chase center and they might respond big like game 2 wherein they hit a lot of 3 point shoot. Klay should get hot early so that he can really help Curry. But they still need Wiggins as well to score or Jordan Poole to provide quality minutes, not turn overs. He should really focus on this game, one game at a time to bring back his confidence. He should understand that Kerr is making adjustments and him benching him, he should not take it as an attack on him. But it seems no one can control him in their bench.

I am expecting Curry to do his usual but who else will step up their game after him? Thompson should really try to have a higher shooting percentage.

Curry has been the only consistent player in the team.

Game 1 - 27 points
Game 2 - 20 points
Game 3 - 23 points
Game 4 - 31 points

Thompson has been inconsistent, but their weakest star player is Jordan Poole, who has only averaged 8 points in the last 4 games. In fact, his best game was only in Game 1 where he scored 21 points but made the wrong decision of taking the last shot instead of passing the ball back to Curry.

You’re right, Curry is the only player that keep his focus even the enemy team is rampaging them. Thompson and Poole are both inconsistent because they already lost their confidence due to the low accuracy of their 3 point shot. In normal game, they gain their momentum by driving inside which is not the case because of the Davis threat that is sombig to block. Warriors is limited to do a long-range shot. It's either they will be lucky to shoot all their 3s or they will lose the game. They have a very lousy defense and their bench players sucks except GP2. The rest is just not doing their 100% effort especially on recovering the ball.

It's normal that Poole will have low points since Kerr keeps him on bench to try other strategy that will work against Lakers. This series is over and I think they need a reliable forward like Durant to beat Lakers with complete roster.
It's to hard now for GSW to win the semi finals because they need to win 3 consecutive games in order to advance to the finals and we are all know that Lakers will do their best to stop them and I think they can As we can saw their previous game Lakers are too strong in defense and Davis can take good care inside. And About to GSW I don't know what happens to their star Players as what you said above only curry have a good points per game while other struggling to make points .

Yeah, numbers are working against the Warriors now, and we might see that their run this year might end in 6 games. They still have a good chance to win game 5 to make it 3-2, but I doubt that the Lakers are going to collapse and lost all the next 3 games to the Warriors.

Last year it was a different team, their players from the bench are doing their role. Now, it seems that Poole ego is taking over, Kuminga's mouth is opening and telling the public that he is not happy with his minutes. And then Klay Thompson is inconsistent. And yes, it was only Steph really doing that much scoring, but he needs help here. They need someone to spark the offense next game.

Thompson needs to be consistent tomorrow. Once their three-point shots start dropping, there's a chance they will win, as their confidence will be high. They are a three-point shooting team, so they need to stick to what they're good at, and they cannot shoot below 40% if they want to win. Defense-wise, they are already good, maybe even at par, but their three-point shooting needs to excel.
Scoring is definitely an important part of their game, but they usually have a good defense as well, on that season of 73-9 they had a good offense but they had the best defense in the league, that's their power, because they score amazingly from threes, people keep focusing on that but they are missing that they had something wonderful with their defense which is lacking.

AD has disrupted their inside defense, he is too tall and athletic and nobody in the team good enough to stop him. I am afraid Draymond could start back again being a bit dirty, if he keeps doing that maybe it would be punished and he could get ejected but he could get the win for the team thanks to that as well. I am not sure how it will work out in the end, but so far Lakers seems to have this locked in.

That remains a big if for now because even if we say that the Warriors are much more stronger at home, we should not forget the fact that the Lakers managed to snatch the first win on their own home where they are the strongest. At this point, in this specific match-up, homecourt advantage might help but that doesn't change the fact that they are still vulnerable from losing the game.

Chances are strong for the Warriors because this is a do or die game but I will not rule out the possibility of the Lakers to defeat them once again so that they can close the whole series and the Warriors will be eliminated at home.

Tomorrow, both road teams (LA Lakers and Miami Heat) could end their respective series. We don't know what will happen, as even the heavy underdog team can win, just like what happened with the 76ers vs Boston game where the 76ers were the heavy underdog and dominated the home team.

Even if the Lakers and the Heat lose tonight, it's unlikely to change anything in their series. At least, I doubt both the Lakers and Heat will relax and let their opponents win 3 games in a row. So I expect that the Lakers and Nuggets will most likely meet each other in the Western Conference Finals, and the Heat and the 76ers will probably be rivals in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Embiid played like an MVP during that game, so it could happen with the LA Lakers with LeBron and AD, or with Butler of the Heat, who believes he is the best player in the NBA now.
Knicks fan here.  It's not looking good.  I would say golden state has a better chance to extend the series they are a much better home team then road team.  The knicks..they haven't been able to shoot consistently all series.  They get outrebounded and are losing every 50/50 ball.  They need a drastic change in pace if they expect to extend the series.  Just hoping for one win here and then whatever happens in game 6 in Miami happens.  Happy with theor season they were only expected to win sub 30 games this year.
To be honest, the Knicks are in a bad position now. In the first and second games, they haven't shown dominance at home, so I think it will be a 50/50 ball game in game 5. A win at home for the Knicks would be better, as it would be very embarrassing to lose in a 4-1 series against the underdog, and they might feel the same way the Bucks did.

Butler and the Heat are underrated. We've seen how good they are in the playoffs, and Kevin Love was a huge factor. However, if we look at the betting odds, the Heat are not even made heavy favorites to win.
The Knicks aren't using much of its roster as others are slamming it hard over twitter. Well, we might not know how they operate through their depths but they need to use with the likes of Fournier. The last game they have foul trouble and lot of offensive rebounds of the opposing team, they need to work with that as well. It's hard to get out of that 3-1 deficit tbh but who knows if they can pull it off.

What they need is to box out.  Grin
Even if it looks dirty, they must protect the defensive rebound if they want to win this Game 5 and extend the series. RJ Barrett should stop acting like he is a guard. Sacrifice his body on the painted area and try to box out and claim the rebounds. He was a damn big man in the first place. Let Brunson do the offense, let him stay out for long rebounds.

The Warriors on the other hand had been playing just close with the LA Lakers, for me it means they can win the game but they just lack at how they will close it in a strong method. I am expecting Curry to do his usual but who else will step up their game after him? Thompson should really try to have a higher shooting percentage.

Miami on the other hand might actually close it out at MSG. They are on a roll and the game will be a close one. If Jimmy Buckets has another big game the series might be over after this one.

It's not difficult to predict this game, as Miami has been dominating the series. The Knicks' only win was when Jimmy was unavailable to play.

I really want Miami to close this series early so they can take a little rest. Butler and some of its players are suffering with minor injuries so it will be beneficial if they can end this early. Besides, Miami only has Butler to rely on compared to the other teams where they have 2 minimum superstars plus great role players and bench.

But still, I am not betting on Miami. Some of its players may feel relaxed while New York's young core will keep on attacking just to keep the series alive. My lone bet will be for the Warriors. It would be a shame if the defending champions will easily lose this series at 1-3. So I expect them to make necessary adjustments and guys like Thompson will step up and bounce back from its lackluster showing in the previous game.

Let's just say that they have a bad game. Even if they do, they are not out of the series yet. We've seen the Boston Celtics play well in Philly before. So, if they can win just one game in Philly, the advantage will be back to them.

Tomorrow the GSW will gonna try their best to stay alive but the Lakers will not let them and will need to stop them in game 5 because they cannot afford to make GSW create momentum which will gonna make them regret and struggle to win game 7 of the series.
Although the Warriors are in a do-or-die game, they have been in this situation before and have the same big three who have had success in the past. Therefore, the Lakers cannot assume an easy win, even on the road. The Warriors will not panic, and they might even dominate the Lakers tomorrow.
