Tonight we got yet again cheated out of seeing the 2 MVP front runners compete against each other.  Grin

I wonder why it is that Embiid always can't play when they play at Denver, "last seen 2019".

Meanwhile the Joke posted a monster triple double ( his 100th ) with 25 points (8-11 FG), 17 rebounds, and 12 assists.

Well Embiid always complains he can't get MVP but if you dodge the big players all you get is 2nd place sometimes.

Finally, a win for Dallas Mavericks.
I like what Coach Jason Kidd did there, use McGee if you need some height, he is in their roster for a reason so better use him. Don't just stick with Powell especially if they are up against a team whose strength is using the paint. Without Haliburton and Hield, the Pacers will surely attack the rim to get points.
Credits to Jaden Hardy too for helping out the Mavs on the offensive end.

Well, not too late for them to be included in the play-in picture. However, Luka has showed his frustrations and it could drag the team chemistry down. Everyone though Kyrie and Luka works perfectly fine, but it seems like it didn't. Though it's still early to tell and they just played like 10 games (If I'm not mistaken) together. The Mavs have a good depth though.

Oh well, that's what we thought in the beginning, that there could be chemistry between the two. But we don't know who the problem is though because after acquiring Kyrie, it seems that their chemistry has been affected. Perhaps Kidd wanted to try something new, (not to late), to have McGee to take advantage of the opponent's small lineup.

Mavs is still in the 11th spot though, they need to win all their remaining games to be in the play-in at least.

The Western conference are really becoming more and more interesting as the season is about to end and teams at the bottom seeds are tightly competing to get a playoff/play-in spot.

Playing alongside each other still showing that they both need time to adjust and established good chemistries, if they can move
forward and qualified for the next round. Then it will be a good test for both of them.

Kyrie and Luka both are good at offense if they can run together with high confidence playing inside with the support of role players, they can continue the chase for the world title.

Playoff will be the next thing that all the team that still have the chance to move forward will be preparing for, it's the start of serious
competitions.

It’s starting to look like the Dallas Mavericks are going to miss the playoffs and even the play-in tournament as a result of their Kyrie Irving trade. Luka can’t be happy. They fell out of the play-in for now and couldn’t capitalize on a Lakers loss. Dallas is 3-7 now in their last 10 games during a time they should be turning it on.

Yes, their path towards the playoffs is starting to get really ugly and now they are down their last 7 challenging games because they are going to face quite a lot of good teams on those remaining games. Even if they figure out their way throughout the Pacers later which most of the key players are out and probable, they will still have to get those 6 games correct because they got no rooms for mistakes now. Just one last defeat and that will mean see you next season.
The stats of Irving are already falling and they are not yet in the playoffs. Kyrie is in the opposite direction in the remaining extremely crucial matches, in which star players that are paid big must perform big. The two consecutive defeats at the hands of Charlotte Hornets, a weak team are unacceptable.

The Dallas Mavericks will then play four away matches, and their season will end if they lose more than half of those matches. After Dallas Mavericks lost to a weaker team in its previous matches, Indiana Pacers is not even a sure thing to win here. Additionally, the Indiana Pacers stand a chance of participating in the play in, they will not play soft.

They are playing soft at the moment and guess they made a wrong decision for trading Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith this is solid guy which give them a solid performance also can blend well with Luka. But now Mavs performance is declining and to bad for them because frustration starting to build up due to losses they get for past couple of games they played. Its hard to win when they are in bad shape at this point maybe for that we can see Dallas fall in bad spot.

They don't have much choice for that trade because the Mavs management were really looking forward to acquire Irving and we know that the Nets won't agree with the trade if the players in-exchange were not that good. That was a pure gambling made by the management just to get Irving to their roster in the hopes that their future will be much brighter because they are giving Luka a duo, which is good though. But what happened to them these days are quite unexpected but it is what it is, they should just deal with the card they have now.

I don't know why in the hell Coach Jason Kidd isn't utilizing the height of McGee. I mean like you said, he's been with the team, but he isn't playing that much, and most of the time, they're using Kleber and Powell as their centers and not using him which is kind frustrating. I mean McGee has been a good role player when he's with the Warriors, and now the Mavericks aren't using him at all.

Their defense is atrocious, and one of the worst in the league currently. Yes they have been good in terms of offense, but without any defense at all, your opponent can just outscore you, and that's what's happening with them. Good for them that they got the victory on the road. I hope that they give McGee more playing time, or just trade him to other teams that needs big player because for me, he's an efficient role player that can give you at least a double-double when given more minutes.

With 6 games left for them, the door is still open for them to at least enter the play-in tournament only if they will perform better and get some wins.

Hardy is the Mavericks' new discovery, and he has been contributing well in their recent games. Maybe coach Kidd will give this kid decent minutes once they are in the playoffs. Luka and Irving both had a good shooting night, with high percentages. I think it's great that they are getting everyone involved and not just relying on the two of them to make a big percentage of the total shot attempts.

The Denver Nuggets scared me a bit in the final minutes of the game. The lead was 16 if I remember correctly and then suddenly it became 5 then, 3.
That's a 76ers team without Joel Embiid and James Harden, it would be a disappointing loss if ever they snatched that one from the Nuggets' home.
They need to put Murray back just to make sure to claim the win.

I guess it was disappointing for the bettors that the Nuggets just let the 76ers cover the spread.

The Bulls are getting 4.5 points here.  Really tough call.  Any suggestions?

I guess keep rolling mate, Bulls are in a mission to win while the Clippers have been struggling recently due to the loss of PG. I would take the same, maybe I'll even put a little bet on the moneyline as this team is legit, they are having a good momentum now.

The Clippers are currently leading, but I think they will be in trouble soon as Leonard is not scoring as usual. Meanwhile, the Big 3 of the Chicago Bulls are leading their team in scoring. So, I still think it's nice to take the moneyline bet for the Bulls while they are down. There's still plenty of time left, and the Bulls have come back before against different opponents.

Bulls are currently 3.75.

I've been a on a roll of late with the Bulls covering the -7.5 points again the Portland Trailblazers on Friday, then on Sunday the Bulls covered the +5.5 points against the LA Lakers and I had another pretty nice win.  Trying to decide if I should ride their hot streak into tonight as they face off against the LA Clippers, who of course aren't a bad team.

I can't consider the trade with Kyrie Irving a wrong decision since if you will looked at all games where Irving is present, he's not the usual Irving that hogs the ball, act as a center of the offense, and not involving his teammates in most cases, etc. Here in Mavericks, Irving is sharing the ball, always keeping up with the play, and overall, doing great so far.

There's no problem with the Dallas Mavericks offense but noticeably their defense becomes worst allowing their opponents to even break their respective score averages per game. Dorian Finney-Smith is one of their best defenders before but even though he's not with the team now, they should be supposed to fill his role easily. I will disregard Dinwiddie, he is consistent in being inconsistent lol.

To mention some, Maxi Kleber (currently injured), Christian Wood, and Dwight Powell, these guys are doing well in the early to mid-season but they began to play poorly at some of their games here in the last phase of the season.

Currently, at 4 games losing streak, few games remaining this season (they are up against the Pacers as of I'm typing this), and might not even make it to the play-in tournament this year. As a long-time Dallas Mavericks fan, I'm really disappointed at what happened to them but I hope their failure this season will lead to them into a good spot in the next draft pick.

Mavs looked like they wouldn't even be in play-in and directly go to playoffs, and right after Kyrie trade they become so bad that they look like they might miss the play-in and not even be in the playoffs. If that doesn't tell you anything about Kyrie then I do not know what does.

Mavericks is having a psychological breakdown. They were left out of the play-off picture by losing 4 games in a row. When the Timberwolves and Pelicans went through the same period with series victories, the standing suddenly changed. Today they have to both end their losing streak and re-enter the play-in pot by beating the Pacers. The only way to overcome this crisis is to win a match. Dončić's one technical foul has been rescinded so he will be able to play in this match. Today is crucial for the Mavs' comeback. I think they'll win the game. I also like how Kyrie plays, I don't agree with negative comments about him.

It seems like it. They are the 11th seed in the West and they have the hardest remaining matches. They have 76ers, Heat, Hawks, Kings, and Bulls lined up in their remaining games. It is tough to win all those games to make it to the play in. It will need a lot of Luka magic to make that happen.

You got that right.  That was a tough loss at home for them, with KAT back they will be a force to reckon with.  Last year the Grizzlies and wolves series was my favorite series to watch.  Hoping the wolves can sneak back into a series with Grizzlies with both of them at full health.

The Timberwolves have an easier path ahead of them. 4 of their remaining games can be easily won so they have a chance to retain their 7th seed if they can defend it in the play-in tournament. That means they will face the Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. That will be an exciting first round.

Luka will be disappointed if they don't qualify for sure but he'll remain with the team. Kyrie is questionnable. He may demand another transfer hehe.

He won't be asking for any transfer since he is UFA after this season. It will be hard for him to find a new team because of all the drama he has been through with his previous teams. But I hope he lands a good team after this season.

After this year he should be turning into a player like Melo or Westbrook or whoever you want to name that became basically a veteran minimum that doesn't get to play at good teams and barely given a chance with veteran minimum wage by a team that desperately needs him. He is not the type of player you want on your team and that is why I highly doubt that it would be a good season for them.

The Lakers will be a strong contender next season that is for sure. But there is always the risk of suffering injuries again, especially to the ultra-sensitive Anthony Davis. So they better try to give it all in their remaining games. The Grizzlies and the Kings are not very experienced in terms of playoffs games so they seem beatable by a healthy Lakers squad.
Just like the Lakers, the Bulls are also etching to have a better ranking in the east. The Bulls just stopped the dream of the Trailblazers this season to try to advance into the playoffs. Lillard might be rested in the remaining games. And then today, they beat the Lakers in LA. Still, high chances for the Bulls to lose LaVine next season unless they can go deep in the playoffs which is very unlikely.
Davis' injury always impacted to how Lakers will perform, with him and LeBron Lakers will still have the chance to move their way
to the next round or even the play-in, they just need to keep winning.
We don't know what will happen to them as there are still changes in terms of team standing and if ever they push their way
the next series of games will continue to be tough for them.

The Way Lakers are losing matches right now, it is certainly going to be hard for them to win the remaining matches. I know they still have a chance to play in the playoffs. But the chance is getting slimmer and slimmer as every game goes on. I have to say the performance of the Lakers in this game against the Bulls was not good at all.

Expected a better performance from Anthony Davis in this match as well. It felt like he was absolutely frustrated in this game.

2 more days until we get to see Durant make his home debut with the Suns. A little crazy how last time he attempted it he ended up getting hurt in the layup line. Still, Phoenix should be buzzing with excitement. That game will be on ESPN against the Timberwolves and will surely be worth catching.
