Although even though they got a bad start this season there's good thing happen since they find a good rooster in the middle of the season so maybe this is what they need to maximize to get a more better output next season opener.

If Davis is not traded, there is a guarantee, but they should not wait for next season. They still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs this season, as it is not over for them yet. As long as they make it to the play-in, I am confident that they have a high chance of making it to the playoffs.

The Lakers back is against the wall right now, they need to find a big man that will help Davis, Mo is injured if I'm not mistaken and there are no timeline for his return. Gabriel is too small to play the center and we all know that Bryant left already, but I guess it is a bad decision for him as he was not effective with the Dallas team. In any case for the Lakers, and even if Thompson hasn't play for a year, if they think that he will be a good fit as of this season or if they go to the playoff, then it will be a good acquisition for them.

My hopes for the Lakers in making the playoffs are going back and forth lol. Now that they'll need to maximize the use of AD on the court, because they are now lacking big men, there will be a huge possibility that AD will going to be injured again. Now, if they can make it to the playoffs and everyone in the roster is injured, then everything they worked hard for the season will gonna go to waste.
Well, they could run it back again next season or they will going to ruin it again by rebuilding the roster.

That's the gamble for their future,

if they will risk AD and sadly got injured again, then playoff will be tough as they will play
with an injured star who can do nothing on the bench.

Only them who can dictate their future and whatever the decision, hopefully it will give some satisfaction for
the fans and not a satisfaction for the critics.

They need to get a win so I think they don't have a choice but to let AD play a back to back games since if they continue to lose then maybe they will get another disappointing season this year again. They have potential to win with this current rooster they have so for sure coaches know when they need to let AD rest and when they need his service.

Although even though they got a bad start this season there's good thing happen since they find a good rooster in the middle of the season so maybe this is what they need to maximize to get a more better output next season opener.

Austin Reaves got an almost $2.5M contract for 2 years and based on rumors, it's likely that he'll get a contract extension for 4 years with a whopping $50M. Hopefully, this boy gets it.
Yeah, I hope Austin Reaves will get it. He is working harder every game so this should be worth his efforts.
Laker fans love him, and with how he is playing off the bench, I guess he deserves it.
I hope that he will not reject that kind of offer unlike Schroeder back when he rejected the 4-year $80M contract. Cheesy

About Dillon Brooks, that guy ain't that yet with suspensions. He will get more I am sure about that. As long as that mouth of him doesn't stop more technical fouls will come.
In their recent game against the Warriors, I tried to just watch him, but all he did was talk and talk nonstop to anyone on the Warriors' roster.
I'd do this kind of thing when I have something to boast about already. Dude, don't even have a championship yet, and not even the number 2 of the Grizzlies. It's still Desmond Bane and Jackson who are better than him. Not that I hate him, I like the competitive spirit but put it in the scoreboard first, or better a banner in your homecourt.
Brooks is like Draymond Green, but way worse. Green also trash talks to his opponents, but knows when to stop when needed. In Brook's case, he doesn't stop.

I mean he doesn't know how to shut his mouth like he and his team achieved anything already for him to have the guts to trash talk other players. Just who is he anyway? He is acting like the bad boy in the court. TBH, it's kind of funny that he is acting like that, but didn't accomplish anything yet. Well, his ego is that high maybe that he doesn't care about the criticisms around him. Maybe he's doing that so he can break the spirit of the team. Bane and Jackson are way better than him, but trash talk less than him as well. Maybe what Thompson said was true that when "Dynasty" Brooks retire, nobody will remember his name.

Clippers lost against OKC Thunder. I hope Paul George is okay, that's a very bad landing, almost like what happened with Giannis where the knee bent backward that resulted to a hyper extended knee injury.

I just read that Tristan Thompson has a work out with the Lakers this week. I guess he wasn’t kidding when he was talking about getting the band back together. It’s nice to see that he didn’t let Kyrie joining Dallas stop him from trying to join LeBron for another ring chase. I’m not sure if he can still play at a championship level but I think he’d be a good pickup at the price.

As far as I know, Thompson hasn't played in the league for a year now, and his stats last season were pretty mediocre, as he averaged just 6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. In other words, I wouldn't expect the Lakers to offer him a contract after this workout, as he's unlikely to be useful for them on the court. Besides, they already have Davis and a few other big guys who play the same position as Thompson.

Yeah but this is right in the Lakers playback.  They always do this and offers dudes like this a contract lol.  It's last second sc4ambling and hoping a prayer is answered.  Even if he was still decent this won't move the needle for them.  Gotta give it to them they never stop trying these reclamation projects though.

Thompson can help Lakers as a back up bigman since he can make Davis and Bamba rest on early part of the game so that they can maximize their performance until 4th quarter of the game. He might be an effective addition since he has a experience to work with LBJ so maybe they will not get a problem for adding him in a rooster. Although his performance decline but he can be a good contributor on defensive side so maybe this is what Lakers want to him if he is officially signed a contract with them.

Cavs - Nets game tonight, what do you expect? Will Cavs get an easy win or can Nets push them?
Cavaliers is in comfortable position but Nets feel the danger of losing sixth spot. They lost 3 in a row and Heat caught them up. Ben Simmons has been ruled out again. Johnson, Bridges and Dinwiddie need to carry the team together as they have no leader in the team. Jarrett Allen is questionable for Cavs. Mitchell and Garland were awful behind the three last game but they won comfortably against Wizards. It doesn't look like a game that surprise us. Hey, they'll play back-to-back. I say Cavs win in both games.

I can't believe how well the Jazz played. They beat the Kings, who are a good team. This team is so underrated. I believe it's their system that makes them better, because even without their best players, they can still win a game, and the team they beat is one of the best this season.
This is the same team who will gonna jeopardize the chance of the top 9 and 10 if they are gonna win most of their games because they are not too far to include from the play-in tournament. with this win, they even get to the number 10 spot and send the Lakers behind them, if the Lakers will continue to struggle, then their chance to push their way to the NBA playoffs will be no more and the Jazz will have the chance to gamble their way to the playoffs. with this kind of scenario, I'm sure it will not be easy for rank numbers 7 and 8 to get to the playoffs if ever the Utah Jazz is included in the play-in tournament.
It is such a weird situation because they got rid of Mitchell and Gobert to start rebuilding this year, they didn't want to have any good players and they wanted to have less than 20 wins so that they could end up with a good draft pick.

This was their goal at the start of the season. Look at them now, they are playing in a way that they are losing plenty of time and that doesn't make sense to me because if they end up playing like this, they won't get a good draft pick and that makes no sense, why not get a good pick if your entire plan was to rebuild. In any case, they are not spending much and playoff means profit so that's not bad for them on the long run neither.

They have a chance because they are in the top 10 now, so anything can happen, including the Lakers losing their chance in the play-in tournament. I like the Jazz because they are not under as much pressure compared to the Lakers, who have high expectations from the crowd because they have Lebron and Davis. The Jazz are composed of young guns who are not even all-stars, except for Markkanen, but it was his first time to be an all-star.

Every game matters for the teams who are behind, so we can expect that they'll play hard just to get that playoff chance.

Every game matter as the season is nearly to next round and you are right Jazz was expected not to be a contender
because of those trades that send their cores stars to other teams.

But by looking with them they are still trying to make it to the play-in or if they will continue winning might be possible
to move up to the playoffs.

The outcome of those remaining games will decide the fate of the team we are currently trying to stay.

Grizzlies destroyed them last night. The best player for Warriors was Kuminga, that tells us something's wrong. I don't think Warriors can go far enough even if they get a spot in play-off.

"Particularly on that game", I agree with you that there's something really wrong but if that will be the focal point to determine how the Golden State Warriors will behave in the playoffs, I think that's not appropriate. What I stated previously, is "in general". Of course, things might changes as there are teams that really shown improvement this season.

Not a fan of the Warriors though and I don't really care where they will end up this year, but still, it's not that we can't expect them in an off-night mode always, especially in a series game. Well then, wait for the playoffs and see how far they will go this time.

They are truly a wildcard.  They can't get their act together on the road but are fine in front of theor home court.  Their experience will help and tight rotations means starting 5 gets a lot more run together in the playoffs.  So we'll see.  Until then I'm betting against them every road game lol

That just shows that the Warriors are totally different when it comes to a series game, they might be playing on the road but they're still tough team to beat and especially at home where their stats are just exploding, throwing threes everywhere. But in regular games like these, we cannot really expect them to be a threat on the road and actually, this is not their first time having difficulties as they've been on this path in the recent seasons but this season is their worst.

Dallas Mavericks played three periods perfectly, but they screwed up so badly in the last quarter that they only scored 12 points. Although Jaren Jackson Jr. got into foul trouble, Santi Aldama filled his place very well. Tyus Jones kept them in the game when Memphis fell back. Desmond Bane played a disastrous match. He made only one three-pointer, which came late in the game.
Ja Morant's suspension is over, but he didn't play in this match as he didn't work with the team. He's expected to play in the next match.
Dallas lost the game in their hands. It was fun for us to watch though. Memphis Grizzlies retained their second place in Western Conference. Dallas Mavericks missed a great opportunity. Things are more complicated for them now.

The scoring was spread out well, with eight guys scoring in double digits. That's unbelievable.

I'm also happy with the result, as I won my bet.

I think a lot of people probably can’t believe how well the Jazz played. That’s been a pretty common theme for them all year long. When they traded Gobert and Mitchell for pieces to rebuild, everybody counted them out and assumed they’d be last place. Instead they started winning and winning a lot. It’s possible after blowing up their team and trading their superstars to rebuild, they might actually immediately improve.

True, every game is a must now specially for teams like in the 6 position and down, so it's going to be very interesting in the last games of the regular season. Maybe for us bettors we could get at least some underdogs and good win just like what @Maslate did.

For GSW, it's a win I guess, so they are going to face the Mavs, maybe Luka can play that time. So again, it's not a very easy game for them if in any case Luka can't play. They still have Kyrie to deal with, and who knows, maybe he can erupt anytime.

Well they used to be in the top 5 early in the season, and giving teams a good game every night. And they are on a 2 game winning streak if I'm not mistaken, against the Celtics and now the Kings.

So they are still alive and fighting for the position in the West. I think they are still in a good spot and if they are least win most of their games, they could go as high as 7-8 spot in the West. But it's going to be very tough as everyone is jockeying for the position.
