In my opinion, this is one of the saddest events of this year. This is a great loss for the entire community and for everyone who knew him.

And the comments I read today gave me the idea of the impeccability of our community, which was organic and progressed to the point that the value of all material aspects becomes secondary to the integrity of the community.

It's sad to see you go. Although there were various small bits of drama and conflict, you've been one of the most active and dedicated members of the community over the course of several years. (And if there's no conflict, then probably nothing is actually being accomplished.) After this post, "Lauda" will cease to exist. By that I mean: The faceless virtual persona named "Lauda", who exists only in cypherspace, will become detached from its "soul", and left as an empty shell. "Lauda" has abruptly reached end-of-life. Of course, this is the inverse of the usual way of thinking. There are hereby multiple layers of abstract indirection, which you can probably follow if you know C/C++ programming and/or witchcraft.
The word "soul" usually refers to an invisible entity from an immaterial plane of existence; if you believe in such a thing, consult your friendly local cult for mystical details. Such a soul animates a "body" on the material plane. But what of a pseudonymous virtual persona? It is a disembodied entity on an immaterial plane of the mind, which is animated by a body as its "soul". If it loses its body, it dies, even if the body lives on. Cryptohunter aka the true legend is of course enjoying the high life he deserves for ensuring bitcoin was never knocked from top spot on cmc, forcing a 2 billion dollar air drop compensation offer to the entire forum fighting the largest scams and making multiple millionaires from his selfless tips and the only member to constantly tackle any and all DT1 scammers and scammer supporters. That and always pushing for the fairest and most transparent standards to be upheld in every project he was part of and the entire forum. Ive never heard of allergy to coconut specifically where as nuts was recognised well 25 years ago when I worked in a food factory, a rarer allergy type is probably more dangerous if its common use and outside of foods still a problem, very common as doormats and coconut oil is a thing used as alternate to palm oil. Do you keep a vial of epinephrine now just in case?

I'll nominate the March selloff as pretty crazy, multi year volatility stretch past 200 week averages. Doesnt and shouldn't happen every year but I do believe we have generational upsets still ahead of us in economics and BTC will be part of that. US election year of course and its almost 30 years since a mid term upset occurred on the Presidential job so surely this possibility would have to be included in any extreme list.

Terrible to have any allergies that deprive you of the pleasures those without such defects enjoy carefree. Those people that come out to a fine restaurant and insist upon speaking personally and loudly to the chef about their allergies should be thrown out ( unless super good to look at) . Spoiling the experience for those that are fit and healthy. Also these saffron and coconut milk face masks are wonderful for my skin. It is upsetting to hear you're going through all of this turmoil.
Now, with all that boring irrelevant stuff out of the way..2020 was simply uneventful for the forum. It was strange for cobra to hand over bct domain but since he didnt step in or intend to step in to correct the terrible DT and merit sham then it is not a huge difference for the end user.
The forum is still very useful to members if not as useful as before. It will likely remain as is until the next btc ATH.
I'm expecting the big fireworks to kick off sometime next month in the US.

When did those allergies start surfacing?
The first I noticed was October 2019 with nuisance hives. Thought it was pollen or hazelnuts initially. Progressively got worse since lockdown. Managed with medication but led to a couple of ER visits since then due to mouth and tongue swelling up. Didn't really get a proper diagnosis till about early September. Was hard to get a doctors appointment in person due to Covid restrictions.

Unfortunately my allergy also includes coconut - which I like to eat but didn't eat much of - but is also used in about 99% of laundry detergents and a large majority of soap. Half the time they don't even have the full list on the packaging. I'd wake up in the morning with half my face swollen and the anti-histamines were making me so lethargic that I was sleeping more than the cat.

Look like you have forget to mention the pandemic which is the main thing which happened this year. I understand you are talking more specifically to the bitcoin related events but pandemic had an overall effect on bitcoin also.
Bitcoin Halving was the major event this year and the bitcoin rally was massively effected by the covid-19 pandemic.

The year has been crazy, but notwithstanding, I find it very interesting that some big companies have invested in Bitcoin, holding it as their reserve asset, increasing btc adoption via that process. And also with the pandemic and the 'fall' of traditional economics/currencies, not surprising the Economics and P&S board is quite active with topics on the issue, stimulus bonuses, vaccines etc and lest I forget the forthcoming U.S. elections, the year could still have a good/dramatic end

2020 has been such an interesting year, unfolding to the society and Cryptocurrency enthusiast several unexpected packages of varying kinds. One of the most significant package or event in history though, I won't term it as crazy is the Bitcoin halving which occured in the month of may 11th, 2020 where Bitcoin was halved from 12.5 - 6.25 as miners continue to mine more bitcoins for circulation. It is the third according to history and it only makes the mining game more tough and it is a good thing for Bitcoin.
