Do you have problems with reading comprehension, are you too lazy to source your material, or are you intentionally avoiding providing citations and context for what you present? I say a little bit of all three.

I'm assuming this is most likely true, as I can see Trump saying it, but can we have a link here to this quote? Kinda just want to read / watch this interview and see went on here.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-tour-centers-disease-control-prevention-atlanta-ga/

What's with the demands for sources when you can just google a few keywords (uncle mit cdc trump) and you get a bunch of sources from CNN to the White House itself... do you guys really think Twitchy made it up? Only Trump can make this kind of shit up, Twitchy can't hold a candle to his stable genius Smiley

My TDS makes me think Trump says whatever he thinks will make him look good (or his opponents look bad) with very little regard for the truth.  Even at White House Press briefings during a national crisis.....

I don't think it's that calculated or cunning. Perhaps it's more like a very brilliant but half autistic person that blurts things out sometimes. I'm okay with that because I have had the privilege of working with several scientists who were somewhat similar, and know the personality profile.

Anyway, it's certainly not the sort of cold, calculated lying such as that by Hillary on say Bengazi, in which there's total disregard for the deaths of innocent people.

When he brags about how smart he is...do you believe him?

He said this recently while touring the CDC:

"You know, my uncle was a great person. He was at MIT. He taught at MIT for, I think, like a record number of years. He was a great super genius. Dr. John Trump.
I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it. Every one of these doctors said, “How do you know so much about this?” Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for President.
But you know what? What they’ve done is very incredible. I understand that whole world. I love that world. I really do. I love that world."

With my TDS it's very clear he really wants people to think that he is so intelligent that he's basically and expert in most things.  We've seen him do some version of that quote with all sorts of subjects: cannons on an air craft carrier, foreign relations with NK, Global Pandemics, doesn't matter.  And it's not just him saying those things.  He will contradict an expert like Faucci or the head of CDC on how viruses work right in front of them while the country watches.

I'm assuming this is most likely true, as I can see Trump saying it, but can we have a link here to this quote? Kinda just want to read / watch this interview and see went on here.

Personally I think that everyday people have taken watch to this too and have compared Trump to other public officials who are doing a much better job during these press briefings. I'd have to point to someone like Andrew Cuomo, who I hate on a policy side of things, but I do think he does great at explaining things in a press briefing and has done pretty well for NY. Trump needs to take a step back and leave it to the public health experts, or just stick to the script that's given to you by the experts / advisors.

Public support for the Trump response is pretty bad, they've really got to change something big to help him out.

Feb 19: “in April, supposedly, it dies with the hotter weather. And that’s a beautiful date to look forward to.” "We’re going very substantially down, not up."
Feb 27: “It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear”
Mar 7: “It’s got the world aflutter, but it’ll work out,”

Mar 11: WHO officially declares pandemic.

Mar 17: “I’ve always known this is a, this is a real, this is a pandemic. I’ve felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic. All you had to do is look at other countries. ... No, I’ve always viewed it as very serious.”

one thing trump is brilliant at is convincing people to believe him.  then he convinces them that anyone criticizing him is either lying, part of a conspiracy to take over the world or is mentally ill.  we are witnessing that right now.

Yeah, I felt the same way whenever Obama talked about Benghazi, Fast and Furious, Affordable (snicker) Care Act...

The only difference, Trump isn't responsible for creating Covid-19.  Undecided

Bernie as the nomination doesn't seem so bad now, I guess.

The DNC would rather see a Trump presidency than winning with Bernie. They're all working for their donors.

As for Tara Reade, how could there be any concrete evidence? I personally believe it, and the evidence that she's telling the truth is compelling. She left a job, talked to her family about it, and the establishment tried to bury it.

SecularTalk's theory is that there are definitely more women out there, and maybe we'll hear from them. I believe it.

Once the first one comes out, it's much easier for more of them to join in. If they still have ties with the establishment it might be really difficult however.

None of that would matter.  Any quotes or citations will be mislabeled, misconstrued, and misinterpreted, possibly on purpose.  Trump Derangement Syndrome is a single-minded rage that obscures rational evaluation of Trump's actions, and focuses on the negative.  It forces those who suffer from it to go above and beyond the exaggerations of his comments, so far as to fabricate meaning that bolsters their bias.  It is specifically a bias towards bias.

One would think that with a pandemic gripping the world, Americans could put aside partisan bickering and see that the President has done a good job.  He's certainly not perfect, but who among us is?

Maybe you're right.  I hope you are actually.  It really sucks hearing the president say these things during day after day during the WH Press Briefings during a time like this.  It's like a part of me is thinking 'wait, he's the president...this can't be real'...but then it just keeps going.  Sometimes I think I see him ramble on for hours of mostly nonsense.

Do you know of a cure for TDS?  I want to see our president act competent.

Can you help me sort the TDS from reality on something?

I remember seeing Trump say nice things about China and how they're handling the virus before it got bad, but now I seem him saying it's all Chinas fault for ruining the perfect economy he built and he's going to send them a bill.

Which one is the TDS?  Or is he even talking about China at all?

Just had a long and very good conversation by phone with President Xi of China. He is strong, sharp and powerfully focused on leading the counterattack on the Coronavirus. He feels they are doing very well, even building hospitals in a matter of only days. Nothing is easy, but he will be successful, especially as the weather starts to warm & the virus hopefully becomes weaker, and then gone. Great discipline is taking place in China, as President Xi strongly leads what will be a very successful operation. We are working closely with China to help!

Trump's style of speaking extemporaneously certainly may have sometimes confused things at least in some peoples' minds.

What is everyone's thoughts on the whole Tara Reade situation where she alleges sexual assault against Joe Biden in the 1990's? There is not yet any concrete evidence but there are some circumstance pieces of evidence that have been uncovered. Apparently Reade's mother called in onto Larry King's CNN show asking for advice on behalf of her daughter in which she mentioned that her daughter had a problem with a well known senator. Reade confirmed this was her mother. Additionally, Reade's neighbor also corroborates hearing about the sexual assault allegation.

I'm not sure how democrats are going to address the liability of Joe Biden in the general. Joe's leading in the polls right now but he won't get press immunity for much longer after COVID-19 coverage dies down. I'm convinced if Trump were to stop tweeting from now until the election he'd bump in the polls by at least 5 percentage points because Americans are concerned and his twitter usage is not helping. Bernie as the nomination doesn't seem so bad now, I guess.

Looks to me that Trump 'downplayed' the thing (enough for the trumptardian media to get some soundbites) because Kushner told him it was a Fabian Socialist scam and he would come out of things smelling like a rose when it was time to pull the sheets off the hoax.

and here we are 2 months later with 1 million cases, 50k deaths, $2trillion bail out, most of the economy shut down and hes complaining about china downplaying it

you don't have to be that smart to see Trump downplayed the virus as long as he could because if he took it seriously the market would take a short term hit. that's exactly what he was doing when he was praising China and making it look like anyone sounding the alarm was just doing it to spite him. now that things are bad and he's blaming china so that he gets less blame.  he even said the other day he knew the whole time it was going to be a serious pandemic.

The Zionists/Talumdics are actually the main beneficiaries of the global collapse/crisis and certain wanted/needed/assisted it in happening since it gets the central bank debt-backed financial sector off the hook, but they don't want to take the blame for it.  As things stand, they can use their assets like Trump in an operation to lift the idiot-class support from the Fabians and put it into their own pockets.

Now, if they can just manouver the U.S. and China into a war there will be quite a vacuum for the nation-state of Israel to capitalize on.  Zionism is, by definition, about 'Jewish blood' and 'the promised land.'  People who support or capitulate to Zionists in their own country don't have much of a leg to stand on when their country gets the shaft.

I'd rather have a president be competent than act competent.  Trump has accomplished much more than people expected him to, while others before him talked a great game but didn't do shit.  Again, you may not like what he's accomplished, but other Americans do.  Are those Americans not entitled to a president who values their agenda?

One can say nice things about their adversary, and still be tough.  I think Patrick Mahomes is a very good quarterback, but I was still rooting for Nick Bosa to break his legs last February.  See what I did there?  I said nice things about a guy I wanted to lose.

Trump's job is doing the best job he can for Americans.  Part of that is undoing all the policies that allowed China to rob us blind in the first place.  That's not China's fault, it's ours.

Okay, so he didn't know what he didn't know, and now he knows more than he knew back then.  And...

Remember when Obama said something derogatory about Israel's treatment of Palestinians, then backed off when he realized that talking that way would threaten donations to his party?  I'm sure some other explanation was given for his words, because we all know that Obama always stayed on script.  He sure did act competent, didn't he?
