In Bolts vs SMB for example, Meralco needs to win one more to advance to the SF? I got used to the best of xx series.

The top 4 teams will have a twice-to-beat advantage against the bottom 4 that managed to get in the Quarterfinals.

SMB (4) vs Meralco (5) - SMB will have the twice-to-beat advantage. Since Meralco won, it's now a do-or-die on both teams on their next game.
BGSM (1)  vs ROS (Cool - BGSM will have the twice-to-beat advantage. Since BGSM won, they will now enter the Semifinals and ROS will now bid goodbye to the bubble.

The best of X Series will be on SemiFinals (Best-of-5) and Finals (Best-of-7).

Back then, the Top 1 and 2 were automatically sent on the Semis.

I just found out in the Bitsler thread that it's the QF now. Sorry for my ignorance here but how does the twice-to-beat advantage works in a QF match? I saw it when I was browsing the PBA website. In Bolts vs SMB for example, Meralco needs to win one more to advance to the SF? I got used to the best of xx series.

^^ what a news. I just remember the last shot made by Herro on the championship series where it went in and many Las Vegas bettors are upset on him and even sending death threats.

Do you think that Nambatac is doing the right thing of throwing it up even though they don't any chance of winning that game?

Lot's of bettors lose their bet on that last shot, haha.. but it's a different story as there is a quotient system in the PBA now, it's done during the regular season so we can understand why Nambatac did that, some fans are just so stupid who don't know what a quotient system is and how it work in the PBA's current season.

In gambling industry, there's no rules that jurisdict those gamblers, what they've knew is the bets got burned after hitting that shot. We can't dictate what should they've understand, for Mambatac he knows the importance of that last shot they needed it to continue their
quest reaching the second round.

The bad thing now is those threats that both he and her gf are recieving, that's unacceptable. He's a pro and he shouldn't be bothered by anything, whatever he do inside the court is his right as long as he's not violating any rules from the league. Those people who re bitter after losing for sure will not just lose their money but also their reputaions.

The odds for SMB is very tempting.

Game 1 SMB vs Meralco.. 1.88 for SMB.
What do you think with this odds, is it trap so everyone will lose in the game, or it's just a fair betting odds with no intention for a trap?

SMB bettors, anyone here?

Meralco lead the first half, 40-31, but it's good that SMB where able to come back after being  down by 16 points. The reason why the line drop for SMB is because Cabagnot is not available in this game, he is in the injured list, but SMB still has to win this game if they don't want to be in a tough situation in game 2.

Not a good game for SMB, it was Meralco who are in control of the game and the way SMB are playing, it looks like they don't have the energy to win. I was watching the whole game, I can't remember if SMB has really led once in the entire duration of the game.

Congratulations to Meralco for pushing a do or die game on Sunday.

My gamble paid off hehe. In this kind of situation, the character of the Beermen will be tested and for me without Fajardo they are not the same championship team. I would not hesitate to bet again for the Bolts on their do or die game this Sunday, they don't have that "go to guy" when they need point to extinguish opponent hot run.

Congrats on that win bro, did you take it on live betting?

Well, tonight you are right, they seemed to rely so much on their 3 point shooting and it's unfortunate that the 3 point shooting was not falling for them.

Meralco did a great job of limiting Mo, if SMB will not adjust in game the last game, I think we will see an upset here.

I will speculate like this:

If Phoenix will not win on Game 1, I'm seeing Magnolia will advance.
That's automatic since Phoenix only needs to win one game, lol.

If Phoenix will lose on Game 1, they still have a chance at Game 2. Where's the automatic for Magnolia lol.

What I meant there is, If Phoenix will not do their best on Game 1 and lose, Magnolia will surely take Game 2 as I mentioned, they are used to playing in a pressure game. Phoenix must put all their firepower in Game 1 as they just only need 1 win and sealed the series right there. I want them to win against Magnolia.

Magnolia is already used to playing pressure games or in a do or die event. The pressure is on Phoenix even they have the twice to beat advantage.

Calvin Abueva added some strength to the team, even Wright would struggle but they have some players who are willing to step up now.
Last game of Phoenix against ROS, the defense collapsed on Wright but Chua, Perkins, and Jazul did their job pretty well, so we will be seeing some of that in this series, they seemed to have gain a lot of confidence now.

It's really unpredictable to say which team will advance to the semis even there's an slight advantage
for the fuelmaster considering the twice to beat edge. Will be checking this and bet inside live events.

I agree with your strategy, live betting is one of the best way to win in NBA.
But man, I tell you, this game is going to be a close game win by Phoenix, or a complete domination by the Magnolia hotshots.

Therefore, if you want to take them live, bet when Phoenix is ahead of the game so you'll get a good odds.

I was about to make this post but when I checked on their website, it's not actually the Magnolia vs TNT will play, it's Phoenix vs Magnolia.

I also got twisted in those recent posts as I checked the final standing last night, it should be Phoenix vs Magnolia. TNT will face ACES.

As for the speculation, as much as I like to win Phoenix (like to see a non-San Miguel team in the Finals), dealing with Magnolia is really tough even they have the twice-to-beat advantage. But since they just need to win one, they should put all their best in one game and try not to have another game with them.

Tip-off on Saturday so odds for these game is not yet released.

Thanks for this information, in regards to this twice to beat advantage. Phoenix needs to go all in this incoming
game 1 knowing the caliber of magnolia it tough to give them a chance.

Looking to the lineup of both teams, it's interesting how this both coaches will look upon in any advantages that they will consider as potentials to win the series.

I'm consistently checking and there's still no odds until now.

Even the games tomorrow, until now there's still no odds for the PBA.
Both SMB might advance in the 2nd round easily but I think all games tomorrow are full of defense since only SMB here are a high scoring team.

There's plenty of defender from the Magnolia Hotshots that could slow down, Wright and Abueva, and in center position, I think they have the advantage as well as they have a tall Reavis though not on his prime already. If I will have to bet, I would go for Magnolia all in in the first game.

Tough hill to climb for the Phoenix Super LPG, Magnolia though they are on a twice-to-beat disadvantage but still they are the favorites to win this match-up, don't know how bookies will put the odds but i'm guessing that they will write Phoenix as the slight favorite.

Reavis contribution on the team is his experience and he is a good defender too. The main guy for the Hotshots is Ian Sangalang, no big from Phoenix could match his strength on the middle.

I'm excited to see it,  I agree with Vaculin though, if we will bet on this game and we back the Hotshots to win, just put everything in the do or die game for them. Of course every game is a do or die since they are in disadvantage but Phoenix could bounce back in the 2nd game if the lose in the first attemp.
