Game today;

DYIP vs Northport (1st game)
A team that needs a win, they both are struggling in the conference so far, they are still winless so one team should have a win after this game.
Northport is the favorite at -4, however, I believe that DYIP is the better team here, so I'm betting on the ML.

Alaska vs SMB (2nd game)
Should be a good game to witness, my bet defends on the outcome of the first game as I got my money "all in" in the first game.

Better luck next time for those who bets for the hotshots as they are the favorite
from this game, lucky for gamblers who bets for Fuelmasters as Odds is very decent
especially with live bets.

I'm an underdog bettor but for that game i chose Magnolia -6.5 because i thought they will easily demolished Phoenix if ever Calvin will not play but it seems Magnolia is not the same team that's hard to beat like the 2019 AFC. In the beginning i'm rooting for them to win the trophy but seeing how they have a hard time against a low-ranked team, i don't think they will reach the Finals.
Magnolia has changed, a good team that now easily blew a big lead, blame it to the pandemic, they might get tired in the last quarter so they allow the Phoenix to come back and beat them, they are in danger now and those who are in the bottom will be eliminated, and with that straight loss will put them in a tough situation.

They are now 1-4, fortunately for them, they are not the only team who are struggling in the bubble.

I'm afraid this will be the 3rd straight loss of Phoenix Fuel masters, at the moment, it seems like Magnolia were already dominating them.
Phoenix will likely to loss in this game as Magnolia is already 1.01 live, that's almost a guaranteed win.

The lead has already ballooned to 12 points now, that's a double digit and as far as I remember in this conference alone, there are only few teams that came back from big deficit, one example is the Magnolia which came back and win against NLEX, that was 20+ points down I guess.
It's now a single digit lead by Magnolia, this should be an exciting game.

And things just turn around, Phoenix now on the lead and their odds is only 1.12, what was their odds when Magnolia was 1.01?

I was not able to check that live.

Just like how they blown the lead against the Meralco from their previous loss, that huge leads from the 2nd and 3rd quarter but unfortunately they've been overscore in the 4th quarter.

Wright and Perkins show it again, they are really playing well both got 20+ points and really leads the team powering the hotshots.

Better luck next time for those who bets for the hotshots as they are the favorite

Phoenix indeed win the game, about the odds, I am not so sure as I was looking at the 1.01 odds for Magnolia, but I think that was over 10+, but not taking chances to that as Magnolia are a dominant team.

Congratulations to the winners, especially those who bet live when Phoenix was down with double digit.

Another great game, Phoenix won and Wright was the best player of this game.

Can we call this official already that Calvin will not play? If he will it should be mentioned in the first game but I didn't hear his name. By the way, good win by Meralco, again NLEX has been struggling to finish the game, they were able to close the game but their defense was just awful. Ravena had a very good game but it's not enough to carry his team against the Meralco which scores were distributed well among players.
We can now, it's confirmed that he is not in the line up, we can also check in their website to verify for those who are not watching the game.

https://pba.ph/playbyplay

Despite that, Phoenix is still playing good basketball, I just hope they will continue their hard work in the 2nd half as they usually lose in the 2nd half.
This is a very defensive game, I took the under 193.5 in live, I hope it will hit, I just like the defense of Magnolia.

Reading comments that Abueva might be the key for Phoenix FuelMaster to become a team to beat, it was like he was treated being overrated. For his debut, I'm expecting a non-aggressive Abueva. I think we will only see a better Phoenix as a contender next conference when Abueva is now fully part of the team instead of the current conference.

Still no reports for Abueva's return. Maybe in the half period of the bubble conference? What do you guys think?

I don't think so, Phoenix chance is now that Fajardo are still not playing, once he is back, all the attention is on him as SMB will again be dominant again.
And this is an ALL FILIPINO CUP, no import ,so teams with great Filipino players has a chance.

Perkins and Calvin are a good duo, they can dominate the paint if they will remain aggressive and I believe they can compete with the Ginebra pretty well even if Japeth is quite dominant in the inside, but you know things could be different with Calvin on the floor as he is known to guarding big players even imports.

The time has come, we will see if he will play today in the 2nd game, as of now, I'm still not seeing any signs that he will play, like a news or something, I hope this will be surprise, so it will bring significant excitement to his fans.
I think he will not play because we are all online and all things that happen in the league has always announcements or news popping out to make more fans gets excited and watch the game. Since there is no news and fans are so silent not talking about this then possibly there will be no show up.

However, I am positive that he will going to play maybe not now or not in this game. He already made it to the PBA bubble so lets wait what will going to happen next.
Agree with you, Calvin will not play today but there's a high chance that he will soon play because he was already inside the bubble and that could only  mean one thing, he is eligible to play, just waiting for the signal by the management.

.. I believe there's really a missing piece in the team and that is Calvin.

There's no missing piece. Phoenix players just have to play on their best. If Calvin is the only way for them to become a contender then this team is done now. It's a burden for Calvin to carry this team alone. It's fine to lose only if they are playing good but that's not what we see on those 2 losses.

The bubble just recently started. Plenty of time for Phoenix players to come up with a new strategy with or without Calvin.

Phoenix was the same team for many conferences already, and they tank those times compared to the time when Calvin was still playing with the team. Calvin's presence in the court will make this team a beast as well as he gives energy to the whole team to play aggressive basketball, unfortunately, Calvin was just too aggressive that he already hurt an opponent, which is something for him to correct.

I'm also hoping that he will play tonight not because i have this kind of a bet but Phoenix really need him for them to remain in the playoff contention. Coach Topex Robinson have said that they are prepared to play without Abueva but still it's crystal clear that they can't be on the top without him or someone just like his caliber.

In my own view, Abueva won't change the game that Phoenix is currently playing but for sure they will make it to playoffs in their current lineup.

There are much worst teams behind them that don't stand even for a win or go home match so Phoenix has a chance for playoffs.

But to expect Phoenix passing the quarterfinals and semis, I highly doubt it.

@bisdak40 @agustina2

Calvin Abueva didn't play last night against the Brgy. Ginebra so we just have to wait if he will play tomorrow against Magnolia. Not even a glimpse of any information or update has been released yesterday.

Now hoping not this week (after I didn't nail it) so we can continue next week lol.

I think he will play in against Magnolia, the team are already in 2 losing streak, they need to win the next game.
Good luck on your betting guys, whoever wins, give me some "balato" lol..

Prepared, that's a safe word to say but to be competitive and to win games, that is something they have to prove, and as we have seen in the last two games, they weren't competitive as they are suppose to be, and with that said, I believe there's really a missing piece in the team and that is Calvin.
