What a game 1 beat down. SMB started really well which is unusual because they are known to start slow. I don't know if it's just me but they got lazy in defense and in controlling the board. Well done to TNT.
I don't think that they got lazy on the defensive end, it's just that the Katropa's design play click, those kick out pass for a triple and the two man game between Jones and Rosario really did damage on the SMB. If half of those 3's did not go in, SMB would still be in the game but unfortunately the TNT was raining 3's on them. Just as i have said earlier that game 2 would be physical to distract the focal point of the TNT's offense which is Jones.

SMB just didn't play well last night, and because of that, I lose all my bets I shared here.
I like the situation of the SMB here that they are the underdog, and I don't think they will be sweep in this series so I will keep betting on them.
I am wondering what would be the line for game 2, SMB should be +5 or more, and I'll bet on the ML for that.

Even the import of SMB can't guard he is only guarded by a local guard only (Heruela). This is one proof that in terms of roster, TNT's roster is better but I don't think SMB will just sit there and they will come up with a new strategy. They have many experience already especially in this kind of situations.
The first thing that they must do is to stop Jones in his tracks and they must shoot from threes. In terms of threes, TNT dominated on that part.
What I also observed on Game 1, June Mar Fajardo didn't play too much, or maybe they are just doing the first experiment on game 1 before they will come back? Since SMB is a very well known come-back team in PBA history. Let's wait for the Game 2 then.

SMB is always on the finals (or closed) on the past several Cups/Conference that's why only a few understand today that TNT is capable of beating SMB.
TNT is underrated prior to Commissioner's Cup opening but able to clinch the top spot on eliminations and shows surprising firepower that put them now into Finals. This will be a closed match as we all know that SMB is a complete team starting from their main roster up to their bench squad.

When it comes to build and performance you can really see the advantage of Jones.Im not saying other players or opponents aren't capable but same as you said it isn't really that enough.

I really like SMB as well for this is the first team that I have supported back when I was in high school because my father was a big fan and a supporter of San Miguel Beer Men, And SMB is simply the popular team second to Ginebra that has a lot of fans when it comes to the final game,
But Still, I don't know why but for some reasons I get an itch of a feeling that TNT will get the championship for this season.

Well, It is just luck that brought me here and I have truly seen the potential for Castro and Jones to make GSM having a hard time winning the semi's But again as the game progresses there is a slight doubt on the first quarter because of GSM was on the lead but again a great experience that the unpredictableness on the game was still there and Ginebra really fought well in the Semi's
And TNT will sure face the most difficult ones, in my opinion, Let's just see what may happen in the Finals if who's gonna become victorious in the end.

That is why this match up will be interesting. The locals of TNT stepped up in Quarter Finals and especially in Semis. Heruela's defense, Trollano's ability to get rebounds and Pogoy's threes. Put also Castro and Rosario who can also heat up anytime. They are not relying on Jones only although they are making him as a play maker. It will be hard for SMB to win in this Finals even I'm an SMB fan, I will be neutral on the match up .
No one on the TnT side can match the Kraken one on one down low, that's the advantage of SMB in this match-up and for sure coach Austria will exploit that one to open up Beermen shooters. Lucky for the Katropa that Lassiter is injured but they still have Santos, Cabagnot and Pesumal that could deliver those booming 3's .

SMB is the best team in the PBA, it only happens TNT is a contender now because they have the best import.
Jones it totally beast, best import for the conference for sure.I also appreciate TalkNTxt team, especially those rising stars on the team, each players have their role and team work.
Just like Don Trollano, Brian Heruela and also Roger Pogoy. They are totally helping the team, not totally relying on Terrence Jones.
