What do you think? Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto?

with this price drop that we had recently, I would not rush to talk about the bear market because the price is still floating at $37,000 something that can go up to $40,000 and try again to go above $50,000 so talking about the market of low now is something risky because the price can increase a lot, to see a bear market the price would have to be at $30,000 for a long time, which has not happened yet

Why do you think it'll be that way? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

as I said if the price doesn't fall below $32000 then we can't rush to talk about a bear market

Ever since the start of January 2022, crypto has been on a bearish trend. There hasn't been any major movement in crypto prices, as the excitement has faded away. It seems to me that the year will be a bearish one (although crypto is widely unpredictable). All eyes are on Bitcoin, as it's the main mover of the market. If Bitcoin goes up, so will Ethereum and other altcoins. Regardless of the price, development is still on-going.

What do you think? Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto? Why do you think it'll be that way? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

And... It is the bear market.

Unfortunately for those who have levered up too much, too soon, the crypto markets have absolutely tumbled.

I think that BTC will continue its downward trend for quite some time as it has seen major gains over the past year with the easy monetary conditions. Now that is gone, we should see a major pullback lasting for at least a year or two. But you should start accumulating now as it is nearly impossible to time the bottom.

I also believe that this is not the end of the price drops, although I am not selling anything myself and I am keeping a long term.
However, on the other hand, I think it cannot be said that the bear market has already started. I think whales can trigger panic buy at any time and the price can go back to the previous level very quickly.

It is certain that one day the trend will reverse. Unfortunately, we do not know when it will happen. The last bear market lasted almost two years. I don't think this scenario will repeat this time again, but I'm afraid cryptocurrency prices may go down for at least a few more weeks.
It's actually reversing now. Many NFTs have dropped in their prices and their charts doesn't look good because it seems that they've pulled out already.
But for those legitimate ones, they're also affected due to bitcoin's drop and this makes them go through a rough days since all of them are dependent to the move of bitcoin.
This is why if you're going to invest into these NFTs, make sure that you've invested first in bitcoin. As the price going down, don't be afraid because it's inevitable.

Bearish for sure.  Every massive run needs a pullback.  Especially for alts which got insanely pumped for no reason. You will see coins retrace upwards of 95% their ath if not more.  Look at the daily drops.  That's a clear indication people are parting well before it really hurts.  I expect by mid summer altcoin 24 hour vume will be severely low along with prices.

Altcoins will be the ones mostly affected by the bear market, since they're highly dependent on Bitcoin. Prices are still going down, so my guess is that 2022 will become an extremely-bearish year for crypto. This kind of market behavior happens after the end of the "hype cycle", so there's no reason to be alarmed. The smart money will buy the dip as this is just a temporary situation. Once everything goes back up again, we should expect major cryptocurrencies to reach new All-time-highs. Bitcoin is the main mover of the market, so if it experiences high gains, altcoins will do the same.

What matters is not the price per coin, but rather decentralization/censorship-resistance. As long as crypto stays that way, it'll last a lifetime no matter what. Who knows how the future will look like with government-issued digital currencies and decentralized cryptocurrencies as the dominant forces of the mainstream economy? Just my thoughts Grin

Since we are in the beginning of 2022 then we have already seen why the market choose to go in the other way which is market a lots of investors panic when the market is going to come back to the expected level is they bought from. There is still time this for the market to prepare and dance around enough before it will continue another new trend which is the continuation of the previous trend.

It is certain that one day the trend will reverse. Unfortunately, we do not know when it will happen. The last bear market lasted almost two years. I don't think this scenario will repeat this time again, but I'm afraid cryptocurrency prices may go down for at least a few more weeks.
What we have to do is to follow developments and updates on existing news,
with this uncertain crypto condition we must be careful in making decisions,
it's better to be patient and most importantly don't panic

The duration of the decline in cryptocurrencies has also not been confirmed by everyone, although what is seen now is that there is still a decline.
Cryptocurrencies this year are under all-out attack by several parties so that they often experience a decline and are far from increasing, even though some think that the current decline is only a temporary thing.

Personally I think we have more adoption in crypto and NFTs than any year in the entire crypto space but right now the market is just experiencing some serious pullbacks and huge dumps which I think maybe if we have more institutional investment and maybe major gaming industry taping into the metaverse then I will say we will have fireworks But still dont forget Netflix amazon Ronin eth 2.0 is all this year probably so Maybe toward the middle we turn bullish
I think NFTs just an hype system where familiar or popular few months only and not any profitable for investor buy back NFTs lately because hard to sell above his purchase price before. I hope for cryptocurrency keep focus with trade or investing your assets on potential altcoin, never try with NFTs looks like hype and not guarantee you can sell above your price buy before. Now many people make NFTs and sell with crazy price but how come could sold on public, what for buying NFTs without any function like using for game card or other function adopted in real life.

I think both of them will happen this year Grin We have seen a significant decline and many even say that it is currently in a bearish phase but on the other hand it is only a week in 2022 which means there are still 11 months left for 2022 so it's still enough long time to see bitcoin move.
whatever will happen I think this year will definitely be better than 2021 and maybe even this year we can see bitcoin $100k because it reflects from last year's decline which even reached $28k but bounced back to $60k - $70k. I think in the mirror from there the opportunity is still very wide open here
You are right. We don't need to lose hope as we are just at the start of the year. And as bearish season happens, i always think that this is a good start of the year so we can also make a lot of opportunities to invest while prices are its lowest. But eventually, what we have at the present won't lasts forever. Bullish season is still expected by the middle or at the last quarter of the year. Although its still unpredictable, but we should always be positive that the market will create more progress every year.
Positive thinking like this is what is needed now instead of thinking about panic and how to sell the price accordingly when we buy because it will be meaningless now.
the possibility of a bullish is still very big, see 2021 even bitcoin has reached a price below more than this, and we passed it even reached a new ath.
now what to worry about this decline.
just relax and don't think too much in a negative direction

A single to a few months of performance shouldn't be the thing we need to based on if we are speculating what trend will dominate the whole year.

Others can't just accept the fact that even amid a strong bullish trend, it can be spoiled anytime. Their price expectations, especially with their hold altcoins, are too good to be realistic wherein it should happen right away or within just a short period of time. Good thing that a bearish trend happened so that new players will understand that crypto is volatile.

Although 2022 started on a bearish mood but I still expect 2022 to be bullish for crypto. I don't expect a repeat of 2018 because unlike 2018 crypto has grown more popular into the mainstream and it is now more acceptable. I expect that before the end of February we should be expecting a recovery.

Yes, me too, everything has gone up very VERY quickly and maybe what the market needs is just a bit of rest and accumulation phase for a few weeks or months, but I hope that 2022 will be a great bullish year for crypto. Fingers crossed.

The current market status will really let you crossing your fingers, thinking that it will just a temporary dumped and bounce will take place within a couple of months, though the entire economy is really affected with how this turns of events especially the virus that still spreading, maybe investors are pulling their investment for a while or taking side in their safe ground.

They are not willing to risk but instead they are just observing then come back when the good market run starts.

We just need to keep waiting and hope that it will still be a profitable journey to or investment.

actually it is very natural when there is an increase, after which there is a decrease.
we have seen last year full of surprises, even there BTC touched new ath twice, while now there is a significant decline but this is what makes me excited because with this decline there will certainly be a significant increase in the future.
2022 is only in its first month and that means there is still a long way to go for crypto to develop in a better direction.

Finally, we see something surprise us this January 2022 which shows us that the crypto market drops drastically and most people were not expecting to see it happen to the market. Bitcoin itself drops and back to the $35k level without we know if the price will still drop to $30k level or it can bounce up in the next months. But if we see the trend, it seems it will be like this until the end of the month but hopefully, that is not right and in the next weeks, the price can still sustain and even can increase and back to $40k. We do not know for sure but we can still hope, although it will be difficult to see the truth. So the first month of this year is a bearish time for the market but hopefully will change that in the next months.

I was really surprised Bitcoin could drop below $40k, as I suspected before if the price of Bitcoin fell below the price of $ 40k there would be
a panic sell. It turns out that some investors have started selling their Bitcoins and have made the Bitcoin price continue to fall.
Bitcoin is now at $35k, which is not a good thing. There is still a big possibility that the price of Bitcoin could still go down even lower,
but I really hope the price of Bitcoin can recover soon in the near future. If the price of Bitcoin continues to fall it will be very detrimental,
because it affects the price of altcoins is also getting lower. But I'm still optimistic that in 2022 there will be a bullish trend, therefore I never
hesitate to continue to accumulate Bitcoin and some of the top altcoins right now. I believe next month the market will recover soon,
and the crypto market can be bullish again.
