Ever since the start of January 2022, crypto has been on a bearish trend. There hasn't been any major movement in crypto prices, as the excitement has faded away. It seems to me that the year will be a bearish one (although crypto is widely unpredictable). All eyes are on Bitcoin, as it's the main mover of the market. If Bitcoin goes up, so will Ethereum and other altcoins. Regardless of the price, development is still on-going.

What do you think? Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto? Why do you think it'll be that way? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

I would be realistic, I believe that 2022 is a bullish year. My basis? I based this on the past bull run, after that time, the market has been bearish for years and I think we will see the same thing again. I may not take long but I would rather expect a bear market than expect a bull run that may not come anytime soon, it's very important for decision making.

Inflation will be the main topic of discussion in 2022. Also, the biggest problem due to supply chain management problems can be the wrong monetary policy move which can affect the crypto market as well.  Bank of America says 2022 is going to be bearish, which is the result of "rates shock" in 2020 and "inflation shock" in 2021.  In this context, people can give more importance to the accumulation of capital in 2022, which will prevent new cash money from entering the market. Many experts say the last hope they see is the current billionaire youth whose investment can save the market from collapse.  The world market will also remain unstable in 2022 due to the Russia-Ukraine problem.  Bitcoin may go below 40K or 20k but I don't see any problem. Because Bitcoin must cross 100k, it may not happen this year or in the next two years, but it will happen after the next halving for sure.

I thought there is a Voting that indicated above lol because i am going to vote for Bearish 2022  Grin

- 1st because the recent year(2021) has already delivered so much increase so i think that is enough for a while and wait for another increase in future.

- 2nd the Halving of Bitcoin happens every 4 years meaning from then the market will be remain slow moving again.

these 2 scenario is what i think the reason why there might be a bearish to come .

The beginning of January looks bearish, market has been sideways, probably will remain this way till the end of this month, but i read somewhere that "btc hash rate is at ATH at the moment which means the mining difficulty will be at ATH too" which also indicate a possible bull run, the exact time is not stated but it means the market will not remain bearish for long, there will be a turn around, people just need to be patient.

Agree, it really looks like very bearish at this point. As for the hash rate, the only thing that I read is that it is dropping because of the Kazakhs issue on mining that's why it drop resulting into the price going down as well.

Not sure if it has go back to the normal now or if the electricity problem has been solved in Kazakh because it cornered around 20% of bitcoin mining. So the market looks very negative right now that's why there is no price movement since the start of the year.

for now I see no trend. sideways market and there is no sign that the market will move. I think new trends can be predicted when there is news. and currently there is no news to make the market move. but despite all that, my prediction is still the same which is most likely this year will be a bear year.

I think we are still in a bullish momentum,Bitcoin is only having a short correction and it is stable around 40k$ to 43k$ only one good news and the price of Bitcoin is going to sky rocket again. Patience is important this time of price trouble we need to hold and be more patience.
For now, we really have to stay calm and be patient waiting for the developments.
it's still early in the year and there are still many possibilities that can happen in the future,
The most important thing is to just follow the progress first

The people who had invested from 2021, had to wait with their assests.Because if they sell at bearish market, it will be the loss for their investment. Since it's normal trade, they can hold for the longer period. The bull will occur after the bear run.Holding at the bear was the fundamental law for the trading.Buy at low and Sell at high was the basic strategy gained by the traders using their experience. It always work, irrespective of all the price variation of bitcoin price.

We are still in the sideways pattern, but it seems from the sentiments of the investors, we might be in for a long bear market.

Just look at the previous history in 2017 bull run and 2018, it seems that the pattern are the same, although you can agree that Bitcoin's narrative has change a lot since 2017. But then again, we can't argue that we are in a cycle hear, bullish->bearish. So after last year's all time high, it's time that the bears might take over the market right now.

I know it's been bearish for weeks now but it will not be as bad as 2018 because compared to 2018 there is huge money inflow which has already taken place now, we will witness such correction phases but I don't think it will be a complete collapse like 2018. Everything depends on how bitcoin fares and bitcoin has looped in so many institutional investments this time so they won't let 2018 to repeat. We will notice some movements in the price sooner as it cannot remain stable as bitcoin has been som sort of stabilized around $40k.

Bitcoin already attract huge market investors, those who came from institutional trading practices who bought their assets from the peak will not allow such collapse to happen, hopefully though that they are not the one who's moving or manipulating this market to buy more cheap coins and store it to have a good assurance that they'll be getting higher paycheck once the market start to be bullish again.

This correction needed to be assessed and not to rush things out. It will only lead you to losing your money if you failed to adjust and

make the right thing to do.. Wink Cool

First, I think it's too early to say what the year will be for crypto, but on a lighter note, I did like to say that I am very positive on what the state of crypto will be this year, though the market might have started and still is struggling to make a significant upward move since the year 2022 began, I still believe that bitcoin will record a new all time high before this year ends.

Quote

Why do you think it'll be that way?
Crypto is slowly and steadily gaining approval from many people and even governments are beginning to recognize the power of this technology, musicians worldwide are all gradually coming into the space, some of them even working on launching their own coins and NFTs.
So no doubt, we are gaining much more adoption as each day passes, it's only a matter of time before this begin to reflect in the price of bitcoin and some other major altcoins.

It's like a little bit of bullish and a little bit of bearish if you'd ask me since I'm sure Bitcoin price will surge up in no time within this year and after the surge of course, bear market and the price correction will follow. Therefore, we may in a bullish that soon will end up bearish but who knows? It might do the same thing again like pumping a little until it reach a certain price then a little bit of decline to buy the dip.

They said February will be the month of the bull again but that might not be true or I don't know, maybe it depends on the FA results.

Both for me in my personal opinion because that's what it is mate wherein after the bearish there will be a bullish always since that's the cycle of the market. It's like rain or shine to be honest and probably market will not improve more if every year it has one season only and for sure the adoption will not increase more like what always happen.. So always expect both because that's how it really works..

I think on the contrary this year won't be a year for bear. The bear is already what we are from last year to this time and won't go beyond the first quarter of this year. The bitcoin community is bigger now compared to the past and with that alone it shows the growth level which is significant to rise more investment because the bear started last year and carried over to this year, the bull therefore is preparing again having been corrected from the last ATH.

What do you think?
Im so bearish with the current trend that happens with the market. It seems like that another bearish trend will be coming again.

Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto?
None knows about this but as per my predictiion if this totally depend with bitcoin. If bitcoin break 39k again and this may become another crazy year for crypto when so many coins get dumped so hard and the recovery will take a very long time to go.

Why do you think it'll be that way?
As long as bitcoin is still stay above 40k and we are fine. If we break 39k support and we may end. Bitcoin is the key in this market.
Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Nasdaq is still making another low and im thinking if bitcoin may face another dump again for sure.

This year gonna be epic, bitcoin does nothing but market is still going down. The market is unpredictable. So many whales are sending their bitcoin to the exchange site but it doesn't mean they are selling their bitcoin. So many things become unpredictable right now. Im sure that as long as bitcoin can't be dumped below 40k and it's a bullish signal. Last year 40k can be considered at the top for bitcoin but this time 40k has become another new bottom for bitcoin and you may know the different by seeing how bitcoin is getting a new floor. Im still very bullish with the market despite the fact so many fear is still around us.

Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto?
I think there is a possibility of another bullish. As we know that not only common people who invested in Bitcoin now, a country like El Salvador and many popular people in the world start to invest in Bitcoin lately. This can lead to a longer time of bullish trend, so it possibly the bullrun continues in 2022. But it should happen if there is many good news about crypto this year. If too many bad news happens, the bearish season may come immediately.

Indeed crypto has really experienced tremendous development in recent years,
we can see that currently there are many famous and richest people starting to wrestle the crypto world,
so hope that 2022 will be a bullish trend and we'll see how it develops later

Hopefully, this year will still be bullish as many good sentiments from the companies and bitcoin still support many people.
But I can not deny that maybe the bearish will come for a while before the bullish because we already see that the price can go wild without predicting.
But as long as the price does not drop below $30k, we are still in the bullish trend and it could still stay at $40k-$50k.
If the price can stay at $40k-$50k, it will be good for us to try to profit from the price gap since many fluctuations will happen with bitcoin.

This year going to be bullish trend. I do believe if bitcoin is still in preparation to go to the moon again. Another upper bottom = bullish. It can also mean if bitcoin can go even higher than 70k as its ATH. As per some expert traders if they are believe if 100k must become the next target for bitcoin. This may become the best thing to be watch and I'm still accumulating more tokens. Bitcoin didn't wanna go down to the below 40k. That means the chance for the retracement will always there. So many people are calling for the 4 year cycle to happen but I personally didn't believe about that. So many major companies are buying bitcoin even el Salvador was adding more and more bitcoin when the price was going down. I thought that so many party will know the real value of bitcoin to be store of value.

The difference today as compared to previous years is the number of entities and stakeholders that are already into crypto.
Before, a lot are treating this as possible scam market but when countries like El Salvador supports the crypto system, I believe, a lot of people change their perspectives.
Some US states are also supporting the crypto market by promoting their city as crypto hub like in New York.
Slowly, people are changing their stand towards crypto, as they also educate themselves about its true nature and influence in the market.

Despite that, the market is still unsure where it could be this year. If there is just no health crisis and supply chain issues affecting the lives people might just keep investing. Unfortunately, it's not what is going on today.

The market will still struggle to climb for another ATH. There is just the need for the market to really dip lower for it to rise up. It could just be sideways for the next few months until it shows the bottom before the bullish market again.
