I hope Germany will be able to make a comeback. Their next match is against the weakest team that is participating in this qualifying tournament (Liechtenstein). A 10-0 or 12-0 win against Liechtenstein can boost the morale of the team. And after that they have two more matches in September, against Armenia and Iceland. Armenia is unbeaten so far, and they have defeated Romania, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

Well Armenia should be doable for Germany. An end tournament without Germany will be very strange. Same we had a few years ago when the Netherlands didn't qualify

But it is true that there is some instability within the team and they have been so far unable to replace the legendary players who used to represent Germany a decade ago.

That's what I was thinking. It is not a matter of age, but experience.
If 2 or 3 players are lacking more experience, which is what happened, the team lowers its performance a lot.

Joachim Löw took a lot of blame for the defeat against North Macedonia (which I believe was unfair). The fact is that the German players have been in very poor form for some time now. This is the same team that got thrashed by Spain 0-6 in November 2020 (which was incidentally Germany's worst defeat since 1931). The recent matches just confirm that Germany hasn't recovered as of yet.

In addition to the low physical condition of the current players, we have to keep in mind that Alemenha is going through a phase of renewal of the team.
They still do not have enough young players, able to make up for the wear and tear of the more experienced.

I don't think that their squad is too old. In the starting XI against North Macedonia, only one of their players were aged 30 or above (İlkay Gündoğan). But it is true that there is some instability within the team and they have been so far unable to replace the legendary players who used to represent Germany a decade ago. Also, the current squad is missing some of the key players. I am talking about players such as Sami Khedira, Thomas Müller and Toni Kroos.

And the reason Joachim Loew had several reasons behind the defeat to Germany and one of them was the condition of his players, and Loew said the German player was not fit to play the desired tactics.
And if we look at the game Germany is very fast and statistically far superior to North Macedonia, and I don't judge the referee I think the North Macedonia game was played with patience and discipline.

I understand that they wont play the best players against weaker teams but a defeat cannot be justified and i was watching the match when Macedonia scored the goal in the last minutes of the first half and from then on i was watching the match and when i found that the German players were struggling to score goals even in the open i wanted to cash out as i knew something is fishy but unfortunately the cash out option was not available for the match.

On top of that, it was a completely one sided match (irrespective of what the stats say about the match). If the referees were neutral, then North Macedonia would have won the match 3-0 (even the tweet from former German international Bastian Schweinsteiger confirmed the same). The small victory margin is not because the match was close, but due to mistakes made by the referee. There is no justification to the loss. The simple fact is that on that day North Macedonia turned out to be a much better team when compared to Germany.

What the fuck did i saw with Germany loosing to North Macedonia, what is going on with the team and i have not seen  North Macedonia defeating top teams before and my brain is scrambling as i made a parlay bet along with other bets and Germany just lost to some random team which i have not heard before  Roll Eyes. It is better to stay away from these mess as i thought these are easy fixtures again smaller teams.
Big teams don't play their greatest players at the start of the match, this is the reason for the defeat of Germany or other top teams.

Did you see how Timo Werner and Ter Stegen performed? They are so messed up, even if you look at the replays, you will see Timo Werner can't score in front of the goal. Be careful if you bet on a weak team match against a strong team.

But you said above it was one leg of a parlay, so how could you cash out your bet? I don't understand. Very weak teams beating strong teams is not uncommon at all, that's why soccer is such an exciting sport. Germany had "only" 90% chances to win this match according to bookmakers (1.10-1x100).

That means in 10 matches between those 2 teams, Germany would only win 9 times, when you bet you have to take this percent share of uncertainty into account when odds are above 1.00.

there are only 2 months for Euro 2020 to start. Even if the players get well until then, we don't know whether they will show at least the same level of performance in those matches. But we can have some opinion about it after the players start playing at their clubs again.
I am sure that they will be fine when the euro cup starts, but this world cup qualifiers was a proof that players could still be in risk when they go to world cup as well. The registration is not that much for player numbers, and that means if there is something like this in the teams that would make the teams be in trouble to put 18 players in the game, what if they bring 25-30 players and register them and have about 15 players getting covid? That would be very risky and that will end up with problems.

We know how covid is spread and we have to realize that these players fight side by side so it is very risky. Clubs are a bit more careful because they are all on the same place, but national team is different since everyone comes from different nations into their national team and it would be very risky to keep something like that work without covid. I believe world cup should be a bubble type of thing like how NBA did at the end of the last season.

I guess the players were not vaccinated? Many of the countries are vaccinating their sports personal, as they need to travel frequently.

I believe that in Europe, this is not happening.
There is a shortage of vaccines, and I have not heard reports that are being given to professional players.

At least in Portugal, this is not happening. I am not sure about other countries.

Turkey, Euro 2021 will also attend. There is this tournament before September. So even if it's okay for now, if there is another coronavirus outbreak during the tournament, it would be a disaster for all teams.I hope the pandemic will end as soon as possible. We missed watching football with pleasure.

And the Turkish side had visited various countries for qualifying matches, and on top of that many of the players are taking part in EPL and some of the other premier football leagues across Europe (for example, Soyuncu was part of the Leicester City squad, and was given temporary leave to participate in the qualifiers).

Returning from World Cup qualifying matches, most of Turkey's national team players tested positive for Covid-19.  Turkey's Group G match made in Norway, the Netherlands and Latvia team players would not be wrong to say that at risk.If similar situations occur in other groups, can eliminations be delayed?

I heard that a number of the players tested positive after they returned home from the qualifying match against Latvia (which ended in a 3-3 draw). However, the exact number is not known. Çağlar Söyüncü (Leicester City F.C.), Kenan Karaman (Fortuna Dusseldorf), Merih Demiral (Juventus) and Zeki Celik (Lille) are some of the players who are confirmed to have returned a positive test result. Fortunately for Turkey, their next match is on 4th Septermber (against the weak Gibraltar).

It is really sad to see Turkey's many players have got covid-19. I hope they get well soon. I'm not sure about a delay for the group matches in the qualifiers. Because the next matches of the groups will start at the beginning of September.

There is a lot of time in September and it will give enough time to the players to recover from the covid-19 and resume the play. If this was not the case, it could be the end for the Turkish journey for the qualifying the world cup. i hope other nations players who played with turkey are safe.

It is true that only in September will there be games to qualify for the World Cup again.
But in the summer, Turkey will participate in the European Championship.

I believe they will recover by then. But it can affect a team, or several in this case, for a while.
Several teams, which had a large number of players with COVID, decreased their performance for a month or two.

Yes you are right. There won't be any matches until September.Still, these players come together for qualifiers while playing in different clubs around the world. This situation may also affect the clubs they play football with.Thats why I asked.Probably no delay.
