I'm just going to wait for promos and specials on this one. Important to note though that a lot of countries who have players abroad in Europe will NOT have their players back. English FA and clubs anyway came to a unanimous decision not to allow their players to go for international duty -- I know this as Salah will not be released by Liverpool for Egypt, and this will be with FA's blessing.

I got just the one pick today: Scotland to win vs Denmark.

God, save BTC!
There will be many interesting matches today, e.g. Russia vs Croatia, Turkey vs Montenegro, Slovenia vs Slovakia...
I will be watching the match against Russia...
The odds for one of the teams to win are identical to 2.85...
But knowing how the Russian team plays, I think Croatia can win today! Especially Russia has a new coach...

Don't think so, what's so special with Germany that the tournament won't be the same without them in the finals? Didn't they lose at last World Cup and it was Croatia vs. France that was fighting?

It's not whether or not it's special, it's the quality it can bring to the tournament. But of course, this is not guaranteed.
Either way, it is strange that a team that has already won the tournament several times, is not present.

But that won't happen, I believe they will be able to qualify.

Well Armenia should be doable for Germany. An end tournament without Germany will be very strange. Same we had a few years ago when the Netherlands didn't qualify

Finally, we have some national games also.  Grin  France are going to be hosting Bosnia & Herzegovina and they are the absolute favorite of the game. They should be able to destroy Bosnia here. Portugal on the other hand are going to play against Ireland. Ronaldo got an arm injury but it looks like he bounced back. If he plays in this game, Portugal would win this game very easily.

Both the games are going to be close and I won't be surprised if an upset occurs with either of them. France is very strong on paper, but they are the same team who couldn't even qualify for the Quarter-finals stage in Euro 2021. And remember all the controversy after the match? The family members of Adrien Rabiot and Paul Pogba insulted each other and fought in public, with Kylian Mbappe's father also joining in later. Same goes for Portugal as well, but at least in their case they lost against the no.1 team in the world.
France is always unpredictable. Sometimes they are very good and sometimes they are really bad. It's actually hard to see the national team in an average position. For the next game I guess it won't be a difficult challenge for France, because the adversary Bosnia hasn't won a single dispute since 2019. They have scored only 1 point in two games, while France has won two games in group D, including one game against Bosnia last march already.

There isn't much at Bosnia's favour besides the fact french national team will be composed by many first-timer players, as the regular ones are treating injuries, or maybe Deschamps just want to preserve their strength, effort and energy for a stronger opponent ahead.

Slava Ukraini!
Time to bump this topic because our beloved international break returns Smiley.
Russia - Croatia probably is most interesting game today. Russia have new manager Karpin who replaced Cherchesov and Croatia don't have Modric. Maybe bookmakers don't think so, but IMO, Russia is favorite today.
Slovenia - Slovakia also looks interesting. I think it's very similar level teams, but maybe Slovenia are favorites just because of home pitch.
I expect easy Denmark win against Scotland if they will play same like in EURO 2020.
Ukraine should win in Kazakhstan. And nice odds for Netherlands win in Norway.

Then the championship will be very long, and the players will have to experience even more physical stress! On the other hand, the games may be less entertaining, so it's up to the qualifiers to take part in the championship!

I am in favor of adding more teams to the tournament. The players are going to be fine, because they will play the same number of matches whether it is a 32-team tournament or a 48-team one. And what is the problem if the world cup extends for another week? Afterall, we are having this tournament only every 4 years and personally I don't mind if the tournament gets extended for another 5-6 days. And some of the most entertaining matches I have watched in the world cup involved underdogs such as Nigeria, Ghana and Iceland. So there is no point in saying that the world cup should be restricted only to the strongest teams.

But countries will not guarantee more competitiveness. Unfortunately we are going to see big countries continue to win against small ones. What can happen is that there are more suppressions, but as a general rule it should not change the big countries much.

I am not saying that an upset will happen every time when an underdog takes on a giant. But even if there is a small possibility of that happening, the entire tournament will become interesting. Right now, only a handful of teams are having a serious chance of winning the world cup. But if more teams are given a chance, then eventually they will also become competitive and may manage a few upsets against the established teams. The current international football powerhouses are largely concentrated in Europe and Latin America. Addition of more teams will bring diversity, by infusing teams from Asia, Africa and Oceania.
I agree with your opinion, my friends, European countries have always been strong candidates to become world cup winners such as Germany, Argentina, Brazil ''
whereas Asian countries cannot compete at all ''
Asian countries are only complementary to the world cup tournament ''
Only in 2002 if I'm not mistaken, South Korea advanced to the semifinals.
Let's just wait for the 2022 world cup in Qatar ... can Asian countries present a surprise, let's wait for the miracle, friend ...

This is one of the reasons why I favor a greater number of teams in the world cup. The FIFA has announced their plans to increase the total number of teams from 32 to 48. This would guarantee greater representation from around the world, and will make sure that there will be a greater number of upsets against the top ranking teams. Teams such as Iceland and Cameroon needs to play in the world cup, to make it more exciting. Sometimes I get tired of watching the established teams such as Brazil, Argentina and Germany.

@Sithara007 while I agree that more teams may add fresh blood in FIFA World Cup, but it’ll make the tournament longer too and I wonder if player’s will enjoy playing such long tournament?. Furthermore I don’t expect big teams to play their best 11 in each match against the smaller teams, which in turn will dilute the performance for the fans who’re watching the fixture and that’s why I don’t think that this is a wise move by the FIFA.

Nobody will believe that Macedonia can beat Germany, everyone will bet Germany as the winner, but this is football, friends, sometimes it is difficult to predict, sometimes a weak country can beat a strong country, which has many star players ,,
Like Germany in the 2018 World Cup, which shocked Germany, which South Korea beat 2-0 ..
now we are waiting for the 2022 world cup who will be the champion ''

Few believed that Macedonia would win Germany. But whoever was "crazy" and bet on Macedonia, ended up being happy.
Of course, Germany's chances of winning are enormous, and no two games are the same.
Either way, betting is just that, the chance to take a chance and in the end be happy.

And those who actually watched that match would agree that North Macedonia was the better team on that day. Actually the margin could have been greater. Germany got one penalty kick which they didn't deserved and North Macedonia was denied of a deserving penalty kick. So the real margin could have been 3-0 instead of 2-1. Now Germany's next match is against Armenia, and the latter is in great form recently. It is not going to be very easy for Germany to end up as the top team in their group.

So you mean you will bet on Armenia against Germany, that's what you are saying? We must be serious Armenia will be a big underdog against Germany and nobody will recommend to bet on them, except if odds are not relevant of course. But even a draw will be less unlikely to happen than a victory from Armenia.

@Saint-loup currently Germany are no longer feared, and if Armenia player’s play with courage who knows what the results will be. Also this fixture is quiet a while away, and the end result will depend on who’s fit, and who’s absent for both the teams.

We are still in the initial stages and the possibility of Germany not qualifying for the main tournament in 2022 is quite remote. That said, the match against Armenia is no cakewalk. They have 3 wins from 3 matches now (vs Romania, Iceland and Liechtenstein). But this group is very tough, compared to the others. Apart from Germany and Armenia, we have Romania and Iceland (who are famous for upsets). And North Macedonia have already proved their mettle by destroying Germany.
