I also think it will be an interesting match and that both teams will score! In my opinion, they are similar teams in terms of chances, but I probably will risk to bet on the victory of Montenegro at odds of 5.5...

Maybe both teams will have the same opportunity in terms of scoring goals, but we cannot deny that even though Montenegro has a defense led by Stefan Savic, the attacker from the Norwegian team is not an ordinary striker. Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund and also Alexander Sorloth from RB Leipzig

My focus is on the Montenegro vs Norway match of course I would like Norway to win Norway must take advantage of last week's netherland defeat
3 points will place them in the rank 2-3 of the standings netherland definitely got 3 points too there was no other choice because a draw was not enough for them

Let Erling Haaland and Alexander Sorloth prove it tonight...

Nothing really interesting to keep an eye on today, I guess I will have to watch us struggle against Malta for the whole 90 minutes.

Any interesting things to bet on? I'm looking at the offer for a while now and the best I've got is Malta to win with 0:3 handicap for 1.9 odds.

choosing Malta is not a wise choice, even if given 0: 3. Save your money from matches that are difficult to predict the outcome of.

I advise you to choose Serbia instead of having to bet on Malta

Group G matches are really going to be interesting. Right now Turkey and Montenegro are on top with 6 points each. For Turkey, in all probability they will receive another three points from their match against Latvia. However, Montenegro may struggle against Norway. They have the home advantage, but Norway is a very tough opponent. I just hope that they will manage to win today and keep the Netherlands at 3rd position.

Turkey played the first two games against tough opponents. The Netherlands and Norway are among the best teams in the group.I think Montenegro plays with a little easier teams.Turkey much more fortunate now.I think they will beat Latvia this evening as well.

It is still very early phase, but Turkey had an excellent start to their campaign. If they win today's match then there is a good chance that they will top the group and thereby secure automatic qualification to the next year's world cup. I don't think that Netherlands will fail to qualify, but it will be a big blow for them if they fail to top the group. If that is the case, then they need to play in the second round as well (in order to secure qualification).

Today it looks as if the matches are mostly one sided (perhaps with the exception of Slovakia vs Russia). Then Malta vs Croatia match is there, where there is a very small chance of upset (Malta played well in their match against Slovakia, holding them to a 2-2 draw). Only Russia is having full points in Group H and three points today would strengthen their position. We have Gibraltar vs Netherlands, which should help the Dutch to get back to form after their shocker against Turkey.

I think you missed the match between Wales Vs Czech Republic, and Montenegro Vs Norway.

They all have a balanced foundation, especially the Montenegro vs Norway match. Montenegro's core defense is filled by Stefan Savic From Atletico de Madrid (Atletico de Madrid is a Defensive Club) and the core attack is filled by Stefan Jovetic.

Meanwhile, the Norwegian side is filled with many new stars such as Martin Odegaard (MF), Joshua King (CF), and Erling Haaland (CF).

I'm really looking forward to what surprises will happen in this match...

Before the UEFA qualifiers started, everyone thought that Spain is the strongest team from this region. However, their performance till now has been disappointing. First they were held to a draw by Greece and yesterday also Georgia took the lead before the half time, although the Spanish players scored two goals towards the end to get full three points from the match. Sweden is still dominating Group B, and the match between Sweden and Spain (2nd September) is going to be very interesting.
The best times of Spain are gone along with Xavi Iniesta. Unfortunately, that team cannot be returned. The Spaniards need to attract more young players so that they gain experience. And perhaps at the next World Cup they will declare themselves to the fullest. I do not expect any enchanting from them. games both in qualifying matches and at the World Cup.

That can be said about the other teams as well. Look at France and Germany. Also Netherlands and Italy. These teams are also struggling now, because their legendary players have retired. It will take some time for the youngsters to develop team bonding and cohesion. But their performance is still OK. I will not write off Spain just because of two poor performances. They didn't had enough time to train, due to the pandemic.

I don’t write off the team, but I don’t think it’s necessary to expect a loud performance from it. Young players should be released on the field more often now, so that in 4 years they will gain experience and they can compete for medals next time. Otherwise, Spain runs the risk of being the favorite again without medals, like the Netherlands.

Unbelievable news from Austria! Faroe Islands, one of the worst world teams, is winning against Austria! If they make it and win the game this is going to be an historical landmark for the Faroese!
I have no bets for today so I can simply enjoy the game, which is good given my current bad streak Grin

the surprise will probably fail to materialize - austria leads 3-1 at half-time against the faroe island Grin
but there was already this game where both nations stood against each other on september 12th 1990 during the qualification for european championship 1992 which the faroes sensationally won with 1-0 Grin
Yet it was awesome until it lasted! Thanks for pointing out that historical anecdote, I did not know about it. Anyway, it would have been very strange for Austria to lose the game. Germany has struggled against Romania but eventually won the game.
Like you I had faith in Faroe Islands but unlike you I didn't miss this easy bet. I bet on Faroe Islands to win against Austria and I won...
but with an Asian Handicap of +3 LOL . More seriously Austria didn't perform very well against Scotland, they managed to only get a draw 2-2, so I didn't think they could beat Faroe Islands with more than 3 goals.

I think Qatar is a horrible nation even without pandemic ever happening. There were two big scandals about this situation but not talked enough and people are not caring about it enough.

First one was the fact that Qatar bribed their way into being the world cup hosts, and that was a big thing back then, people were fired, there was investigation and it's really a big deal, if it is bribe related and any nation could just pay more that means we are not going to get decent picks from now on, it's just going to be hosted at whoever pays Uefa more and that's not something I would want to see.

Second one was Qatar getting literal slave labor to get their stadiums and things done on time, pandemic pushed it back a bit and world realized what they were doing but that didn't stopped them, who would go to Qatar and say "please do not use slaves"? They already know they are doing something wrong and they do not care about it. These two were problems even before pandemic and with the pandemic it became a bigger deal.

Well... I am going to agree with most of these points. But Qatar is a global economic super-power and therefore I don't think that any of the other countries are going to boycott the tournament. Thousands of workers/laborers died during the construction of the stadiums. But most of them were from third world nations such as India and Nepal. No one in the West really cares about the lives of these people. Most of the human rights organizations receive their funding from GCC nations such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia and they almost never indulge in criticism against these countries.

what do you think : are there also teams in the qualifiers that lose on purpose because they don't want to go to qatar?   Wink

This is just ridiculous. Why should anyone refuse to go to Qatar? If the COVID 19 pandemic is a reason, then it doesn't make any sense. The World Cup is still some one and half years away and the chances are that the pandemic will be under complete control by then. And World Cup is an event which occurs only once every 4 years. I don't think that anyone in a good state of mind would refuse a chance to take part in this event.

You would expect Ukraine to beat Finland. Ukraine were 1.7x favorites to win the match but it ended up as a draw. This brings Group D to become contested amongst 3 teams while France being clear favs to win the group. The other teams vying for the final spot for qualification are Ukraine, Finland and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Bosnia and Finland drew a match before and now Finland drew again to Ukraine. The only advantage Ukraine have over the others is that they have played the favorites in France already and drew against them. So, the matches can only get easier from now on where as Bosnia and Finland are yet to play France.

Group D is perhaps one of the toughest in the UEFA qualifiers this time (the other being Group G). Let's not forget the fact that France had a shaky start to their campaign, as they conceded a draw against Ukraine. Their performance during the second match (against Kazakhstan) was also unimpressive, but they managed to get three points from that one. The tournament has just started and it is too early to make assumptions. But it is not going to be easy for France.

Yes no surpprises in this round we have seen a lot of big wins in the europe qualiffications there is a big difference between the national teams in term of human resources and financial ones which make it less competitive.
Yesterday's matches ended as most people expected from big teams.
BTW for tomorrow's games, am I the only one finding them all boring..

franca won as expected

the most striking game was the game in denmark, how was it possible for denmark to score 8 goals? it was as if Moldova were worse than my country’s team, conceding 8 goals Is a great humiliation. I think that at that time the Moldovan coach has reason to be ashamed, they embarrassed the nation.

england also won as expected

spain also won as expected

germany is still playing and it is already 15 minutes of game and is drawing, but will win

Italy is also expected to win

well do not have surprises in these games

...btw, I am surprised with Denmark, whether this time they can threaten another big teams.

I'm not entirely surprised that Denmark has been doing very good youth work for many years. In the past, there were always promising talents who somehow didn't make the breakthrough. In the meantime, however, there are many good young players who play in the top European leagues, even they are not the absolute stars, they form a very good team. Denmark can provide a few surprises.
