The Bitcoin price chart in 2024 will be between $50k - $59k because December is at the end, the price is still at $42,664. I have already voted for 2024. I will wait to see what the price of Bitcoin will be at the turn of the year because the closing price in 2023 will be the historical price that will be compared for the following years.
Price speculation above $50k is too difficult to achieve, for me too easy if it happens.
I agree with OP about not posting a picture of the poll to avoid influencing people before they cast their votes since they will definitely change their minds.

I voted for +$70k myself since I am optimistic regarding the Bitcoin price in the long term. I don't think the price will reach that level before November 2024 but after that I think it is possible. Even if my prediction was wrong, I am pretty sure in the future we will see this price and way more.

Ideally I dont want the (collective) poll answers posted on the thread as public before people decide for themselves.   There is potential bias in every Poll question or any survey of views, obviously its common for people to want to agree; its true anyway the market will reinforce a trend.

I haven't yet decided for the whole of 2024, I do think the longer term trends are good.  200 week is really hard to turn around and we were submerged for some time which is very negative comparatively.  Not often we have fallen that negative in the past, it might have been the longest duration for some time I forget.   Generally Im positive but way more moderate then most I reckon, when we have no bears at all its time to be a bit apprehensive I figure hence poll might be useful in that way.

Poll is open till nearly end January no rush especially.

2024 will be more events happening, this time different from the previous halving many investors have entered bitcoin from a few years ago so it is curious where waiting for $100K is the target of many investors even more than that.
$100k is certainly secretly expected by many investors, but I don't think any serious trader has chosen this target for 2024. It's more than %60+ above its current ATH, that's huge bro. BTC has made a nice +150% over the year, so a correction is expected to happen next year. In addition if one ETF spot is approved by SEC next year, many whales and institutional investors will join the market, and those guys don't wait to get +100% before selling you know.

2023 was a Consolidation year in the best possible way we arrested the decline and rose well.   Positive to end the year we had alot of up and down along the way and a few doubts imo.   I think it was a good year to buy on but we only recognized this as more obvious coming into December.   30k was only definitively defeated at Nov start tbh.
My Poll question is quite simple how do we develop in 2024, explosively upwards perhaps, a more sedate incline like this year, flat or is it all negative from this high point; a repeat of 2021 high tide mark going into 2024 is of course possible.

The opportunity to vote on the pool is still open and I have done so by voting $50k - $59k for the 2024 price prediction.
Happy new year to OP and to all bitcointalk forum members.

In this 2024 after the halving, I expect the price to rise to as high as $100K. The price prediction in the first quarter of the year should be above $50K. The bitcoin price has been dangling and maintaining a good support and resistance area. By 2024, it should have breaking the resistance and we’ll see a move uptrend up to $50K within the first quarter of the year.
If what you predicted happens, namely that it will reach $100K in 2024, then there will be a big surprise in achieving ATH in the period after that, which will occur in 2025. Of course, this is good news because it will be able to repeat the same achievement again in 2021, where the ATH will be several times the previous ATH. I think it's true what you said. We will wait in the first quarter to see whether it will be able to reach a significant value to spur it to increase according to predictions; everything will be determined at that stage. Of course, this is an opportunity to continue buying and holding bitcoin so that it can provide the best income.

I don't really see anything above or close to $70k let's say we're not expecting the halving next year with the current movement of Bitcoin price I don't think it would be a positive start in the first week of January 2024, and weather we like it or not it won't even get to $50k.
This last month of 2024 would have given us something better than what we're seeing, so without the expected halving next year I don't see Bitcoin price going any where positive. But if things were to be in a good shape with the halving on its way I'd rather say $80k before the midweek of January, let's see if the current slow movement of Bitcoin price would pay off next year, I mean if it will be higher.

I voted $100k - The year 2024 has a lot to look forward to starting with the ETF approval in January, then stepping up with the Halving that is soon approaching, after that we will wait for the end of the year where the bitcoin price could be a bigger wave all because of my own predictions.

The fact is we never know about the future, but this reference is certainly looking at previous history even though this is not certain, I am just optimistic about how bitcoin will surpass $100K, and I see that vote is the most voted.

I voted for Above 70k+.

Or at least we would see a new all time high, or get passed the previous at $69k. As for what could be the new all time high, obviously, everyone's target is above $100k conservative estimates, but I don't think that we are going to hit it in 2024 yet.

So going to be a great year to us, if the cycle or the pattern continues 2024 will be the start of the bull run right after the block halving. We might not felt a initial surge, but once the bull pick it up, it's going to be a great and massive run again just like the previous post halving years.
With the previous trend of Bitcoin I'm optimistic about the possibility that 2024 will be a year of unprecedented rise in the trend of Bitcoin price that we all crave for. Although, there is possibility of unforseen uncertainty that may result to decline in the trend which I'm not too sure but it's good to keep our mind positive in regard to expected rise in the price of Bitcoin in 2024.

Of course we want to be in the $100K range next year but I always look at the history of previous cycles where when the halving occurs this year then the bullishness will actually occur the following year: like now 2024 will occur halving then in 2025 it will be bullish this is certainly in the prediction that I observed looking at the previous cycle.

What I said is not necessarily true but can be said to be close, even I saw on X.com after halving then wait 18 months to go to ATH again, well this is just a speculator but but believe how this history is.

2024 will be more events happening, this time different from the previous halving many investors have entered bitcoin from a few years ago so it is curious where waiting for $100K is the target of many investors even more than that.

We are already at the $40,000-$49,999 price range, and we haven't seen the 2 possible catalysts happening.
Acceptance of a Spot Bitcoin ETF, and the Bitcoin halving.

For the Spot Bitcoin ETF, there are many signs that a Spot Bitcoin ETF might get accepted as early as the 9th of January. I don't know where I saw this article, but it says that January 9th is the day that the SEC will release their decision regarding the acceptance of a spot Bitcoin ETF. This will be a catalyst for the price increase of Bitcoin towards $50,000 to possibly $60,000. If it gets accepted, it might create a domino effect and other Spot Bitcoin ETFs might get accepted in the future. On the other hand, if the Spot Bitcoin ETF applications will get rejected next year (which is highly unlikely), that might be a reason for the investors to change their sentiment thus, making selling pressure and pushing the price down.

As for the Bitcoin halving, I guess we already know especially for those who've been involved in crypto for a very long time that Bitcoin's price tends to increase a few months after the halving happens right? There's a high chance that it might happen again after the Bitcoin halving which is expected to happen in April 2024.

Overall, I'm bullish on Bitcoin, and the whole crypto market as well. I don't see any negative news that might push the price of Bitcoin down except for the rejection of a Spot Bitcoin ETF.

After 2020-21 phase, 2023 really gave us good hope about Bitcoins. Bitcoins really looking strong after this pump in December. 2024 has really set high hopes for us. I am expecting Bitcoins to cross new ATH price this year. I am saying this as Bitcoins have always followed a 4 year cycle to reach new ATH price and this is the 4th year. So I want Bitcoins to touch atleast 80k usd this year. Now let’s hope for the best.

As per the vote, most members think it will be above $70k, and that means who are going to at least double the price that we currently have. And realistically it's possible, just like in the last bull run, we went as high as $59k if my memory serves me right with the whole Elon Musk manipulation.

So we will see, we have one source to begin with, which is the Bitcoin ETF that could really bring a lot of money in the market.

Not just money but institutional, so it's going to be very huge in my opinion.

I think realistically bitcoin price would play around the region of $50k-$59k on January. But, in order to achieve that goal, first bitcoin should start strong in January like trying to touch the $50k level, otherwise it would stay around $40k level.
The months left before the halving may not make enough impact for bitcoin to start pumping just how bitcoin performed in the last few halvings, so I guess $50k would be considered a higher range for bitcoin to reach.
The post halving will most likely going to be a huge pump that could potentially breaks another ATH.

2022 was a bad year for Bitcoin. 2023 is the recovery year. And Bitcoin hasn't fully recovered yet. The recovery process will definitely continue into 2024. It helps that 2024 is also a halving year. That will play a significant factor in the recovery especially in the late part of 2024, which is when the effect of the halving starts to fully sink in.

It also helps a lot that hype is built around Bitcoin thanks to the big traditional finance players like BlackRock that express interest to join the market. And since something big in relation to this might happen early in the early, I think the whole 2024 is a very good year. $100,000 is a realistic target.

confident at 70k and above , that is a good indication that people are very positive in what will be coming next year though there are some uncertain because the 4th year cycle seems to be 2025 and not 2024 , but at least we will be having that above the former ATH?
wondering what would be the price in second quarter as I am planning more to invest again?
It stands to reason that it will be able to reach $70K and above, although, as you said, a 4-year cycle will occur in 2025, where there will be an increase, which could be significant if it reaches $70K in 2024. I think there will be an opportunity before the future halve, where there will usually be a correction before it finally increases. This is, of course, an opportunity to be able to buy for investment.

I feel like something around 50k's would be decent enough. Not saying that it will reach there or won't go past that, I have no idea and none of us do and we just speculate, this is just a speculation. However, I do feel like there is a possibility that we could see that happen. This is the reason why I believe that the best we can do at this moment would be considered as something that would not make sense all that much. So we should be careful about it, and not really see it change all that much.

50K levels are decent for me because it is not that far away, we are really just about %20-30 away from it and that kind of increase could happen in a year, specially when you consider that it will be the halving year, so we could definitely go up that much.

Bitcoin price peaked at 44K at the end of 2023. So it was a small bullrun, which led to a limited increase in Bitcoin price.

Yep, it was a limited increase. I didn't even quite triple in the calendar year.

Maybe it will only triple in 2024. That would only be barely over $130k. A small bullrun indeed.

Maybe 2025 will be limited to only tripling too. Less than half a million dollars per coin. Pathetic.  Roll Eyes
